August 18th, 2016 – (SEATTLE, WASHINGTON): Firstech, makers of Compustar and DroneMobile connected car solutions, has announced that in September 2016, the company will be launching “myFirstech Rewards”, a dealer-incentive program aimed at rewarding supporting retailers for the sale of Firstech products. Upon launch, the focus of myFirstech Rewards will be on DroneMobile, Firstech’s smartphone solution for remote start, security, and tracking systems. Participating retailers will each receive a myFirstech Rewards Visa prepaid card that will be loaded with funds for every month that a DroneMobile system they sell stays active.

Monthly payouts per device will vary depending on a DroneMobile customer’s plan type. Firstech offers four plan levels to DroneMobile customers: Basic, Premium, Business, and Business Plus. While many manufacturers have released solutions for remote starting a car from a smartphone, myFirstech Rewards is the first initiative in the industry to reward dealers for activating these systems in the first place.

“Firstech’s goal is to offer our dealers significant value from a variety of angles,” managing director Jason Kaminski explains, “several other industries follow a similar recurring revenue model, and we at Firstech are thrilled to be the first company to introduce it to our dealers for remote start products.”

Firstech retailers will be able to sign up for myFirstech Rewards starting on August 19, 2016. Firstech will begin distributing Visa prepaid cards in September, after which dealers will be able to start collecting rewards for the sale and activation of DroneMobile systems. To begin registration for myFirstech rewards, Firstech requires all entrants to watch a short video and take a short quiz at www.dronemobile.com/myfirstechrewards.

Montreal, Canada, August 19th 2016 -- Automotive Data Solutions Inc. (ADS) will unveil its new iDataStart® VWX and VW2 remote start systems for select Volkswagen/Audi standard key and push-to-start models 2006 and up this weekend at Knowledgefest in Dallas, Texas

Thanks to its patented KLON ‘over-the-air’ key cloning technology, ADS’ all new VW/Audi remote start solutions are the first to provide a secure, digital override solution of the vehicle’s immobilizer system without installing a physical key under the dash.

While most technicians will agree that installing a traditional remote starter on an Audi or VW can be quite challenging, iDataStart VW solutions will include a ‘plug & play’ T-harness that dramatically reduces install time and complexity. Both solutions will also support convenience features such as lock, unlock and trunk release as well as ‘3XLOCK’ remote start from the factory key fob on most models.

"Developing this solution was not an easy task, but we felt the industry needed it so it was time for us to get it done." said Frank Barassi, President at ADS.

"Delivering solutions like these that have long been considered ‘undoable’ is the reason we get up in the morning and a testament to ADS’ commitment to innovation", continued Barassi.

iDataStart VW remote starters will begin shipping across the US and Canada in October 2016 and will be available in two variants: iDataStart VWX will ship without RF for ‘3xLOCK’ remote start from the factory key fob, while iDataStart VW2 will include a 1-button, 2-Way long range remote. Both kits will include the VW1 T-harness and are compatible with most aftermarket telematics devices including DroneMobile and AutoLink and more.

For more information on iDataStart VWX and VW2, visit ADS at booth #310 at Knowledgefest.

DOUGLASVILLE, GEORGIA – AUGUST 17, 2016 - Omega's tech support team will be presenting the 70-Series product line at it’s first ever KnowledgeFest Dealer training session.  The 70-Series is Omega’s most advanced Remote-Start line ever.

Packed with very high-end features, but priced at a tremendous value, Omega focused on refining the installer experience by adding a very comprehensive vehicle learn routine, and on the user experience by adding a BUILT-IN 3D accelerometer for manual transmission starting without the complicated exit routine, as well as Cold-Temperature start at the "entry units".

All "3D" units are 2-way Ready, so to upsell a sale, just learn in a compatible 2-way controller. Also, every single remote starter has a built in Alarm Suite, again offering upsell potential with little or no additional install. With Omega, every Starter is a COMBO.

Omega will also be introducing the Linkr Mobile Control platform: In our opinion, the most versatile Smartphone hardware/APP platform available. Built as a Global platform, it supports 6 languages, and can be installed stand-alone, or plugged into an Omega host unit via the data port. All 3 analog outputs can be configured to your needs, even if you’re using a data connection. This doubles the simultaneous functionality of other units.

Very importantly, EVERY service plan gives the user full functionality!!! This includes GPS tracking, 2 Geo-Fences, Speed alerts, & a Security Fence. Other included features are a Built-In battery backup,

Multiple "Skin" options, personal Avatar selection from your camera-roll, the ability to control dozens of devices from the same APP, a full featured "High Risk" PANIC routine that sends alerts and a bread crumb trail to 5 pre-set recipients, and more. One can even monitor their home or business alarm panel with Linkr.

August 16, 2016 – Clearwater, FL: - Vehicles of all shapes, sizes, makes, and models are equipped with side and rearview mirrors, allowing drivers to see other cars, pedestrians, and obstacles behind them. However, the placement of car mirrors guarantees unavoidable “blind spots,” areas of poor visibility that can pose a threat to driver safety.

EchoMaster, Power Brand of AAMP Global and manufacturer of cameras, sensors, monitors, and other automotive safety equipment, has recently introduced a new blind spot camera designed to improve visibility and reduce the risk of collisions and other accidents, especially when changing lanes. The PCAM-BS1 is designed for versatility, and its self-adhesive design, with flexible base can be mounted on multiple areas of a vehicle.  When mounted beneath side mirrors, the PCAM-BS1 improves driver visibility during lane changes.  Pairing the PCAM-BS1 with a PAC BCI video interface, or with EchoMaster’s rearview mirror with monitor PMM-7333-PL, triggers the camera to turn on when a turn signal is being used, and converts the video signal to a constant. Check out this explainer video to learn more!

According to statistics compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there are around 840,000 car accidents in the US each year that were caused by visibility problems in a driver’s blind spots. Of these, 300 result in fatalities. Nonfatal blind spot accidents can cause serious injuries and ongoing chronic health problems, such as neck injuries, broken glass injuries, concussions, spinal cord injuries, and whiplash.

Blind spot monitoring via camera systems can make a significant difference in accident risk. According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Highway Loss Data Institute, statistics compiled in 2011 for 2007-2010 Mazda models with blind spot cameras indicated that the camera systems reduced claim frequency for collisions, property damage liability, and personal injuries.

The majority of consumer vehicles on the road today are not equipped with blind spot cameras and other sophisticated safety systems, which is why EchoMaster’s PCAM-BS1, and full range of vehicle safety solutions are in such high demand.

Operating at 0.1 LUX, the PCAM-BS1-N uses a ¼” CMOS sensor (complementary metal-oxide semiconductor.) This type of sensor is known for consuming minimal power, making it ideal for use in car camera systems. For extra durability, it’s IP67 rated for water and debris resistance. This rating means it is completely protected against dust intrusion, and can withstand water immersion up to one meter.

The launch of the PCAM-BS1 is the latest development in EchoMaster’s ongoing mission to make sophisticated modern car safety systems available to consumers and commercial drivers, helping to reduce the rate of collisions and injuries caused by blind spots, poor visibility, and other issues that prevent drivers from being fully aware of their surroundings. As camera and sensor technology continues to evolve, EchoMaster continues to release new, innovative driver safety solutions.

The “No Power Wire Required” PM100X1K is a High Dynamic Power Amplifier Utilizing BTL-Powered Freeload Technology and a Conformal Coated PC Board Designed for Mobile, Motorsport, and Marine Applications

TEMPE, Ariz. – August 11, 2016 – Rockford Fosgate (www.rockfordfosgate.com), has announced that the new “No Power Wire Required” PM100X1K Punch Element-Ready 100-Watt full range mono amplifier is now available. Designed for mobile, motorsport and marine applications, the PM100X1K has an MSRP of $399.99 per pair (left/right).

“The Element-Ready PM100X1K is a high dynamic power amplifier that utilizes our patent pending BTL-powered ‘Freeload’ technology and a conformal coated pc board for multiple applications in a small, stealth-like package for installation basically anywhere…whether you’re on the road, on the beach, or on the water,” explained Jake Braaten, Rockford’s V.P. of Product Development & Engineering. “The single-channel PM100X1K amplifier provides a very unique amplifier solution…it utilizes the speaker output of the radio to not only provide the audio signal it needs, but also the power that runs the unit. This is done through a combination of the DC offset voltage commonly present and the audio AC signal itself. It also presents a safe load to the radio amp circuit to eliminate excessive wear and tear on the radio, making it ideal for both OEM and aftermarket radio integration.”

The patent pending technology in the PM100X1K initially uses the DC offset voltage for its turn on power as well as primary amplification power. As volume is increased and the output power demand rises, the amplifier begins sharing the power load between the DC and AC signals. Once high volume is reached, the majority of the amplifier’s power is provided from the AC signal only and is supplemented by its internal storage bank.

“This design allows it to actually charge its capacitive bank on the downside of the AC signal wave which is essentially unused power anyway,” Braaten continued. “It also presents no more load to the radio than a standard 2/4 ohm speaker would thus keeping the radio amplifier circuit safe from low impedance conditions. This design allows the amplifier to be connected to a radio with a rated 20-watt output and produce up to 100 watts dynamically. The unit also features a 2/4 ohm input switch to match the amplifier to the output impedance rating of the radio circuit. For speaker protection, we incorporate and selectable high pass crossover with setting at 60, 80, and 100Hz.”

For added versatility, an add on B+ wire is included and can be tied to other lower current circuits in its proximity for use in rare cases where there is not enough DC voltage present to power the amp at turn on. It is also Element Ready with an IPX6 rating for those installs where moisture may be present. Braaten explained, “These design features make the amplifier ideal for OEM or aftermarket upgrades because the amplifiers can be hidden in the dash or doors of the vehicle, in the fairing of a bike, or, frankly, anywhere a speaker exists.”

Coral Springs, FL - 8.11.2016 -- NAV-TV Corp., a global leader in Automotive OEM integration, announces the release of the M.O.S.T  HUR MB V2 head unit replacement interface for M.O.S.T fiber-optic equipped Mercedes Benz® ML, GL & R vehicles.

The M.O.S.T  HUR MB V2  from NAV-TV™ is a M.O.S.T. fiber-optic head unit replacement module for select Mercedes Benz® ML, GL & R vehicles that allows the factory radio to be replaced with an aftermarket head unit.  The installation is plug-and-play, requiring no modification to the vehicle, and retains the factory M.O.S.T amplifier, sound quality, speakers and steering wheel controls.A European to Motorola AM/FM antenna adapter is included with the kit and vehicle-specific dash kits are available for purchase.

"Since the release of our “OPTI-1” MOST head unit replacement interfaces for Mercedes S, SL, CL, CLS and E class three years ago, our sales staff have received over a dozen requests per day for an ML, GL & R solution. These factory radios are beginning to fail due to age, don’t have attractive features like Android Auto or Apple Car Play and a factory replacement can exceed $4,000.00. In some cases that is over 40% of the total value of the vehicle,” stated NAV-TV Vice President, Derek Schmiedl.  “Replacing the radio in the past required a complete re-wire of the vehicle to bypass the factory amplifier. This was time consuming, expensive and unfortunately eliminated the sound quality of the factory premium amplified system. Needless to say, many customers were less than pleased with the results. With the M.O.S.T  HUR MB V2 , Mercedes Benz® ML, GL or R Class owners now have a cost-effective and seamless integration option to retain the sound quality of their factory sound system while adding the  benefits and features of an aftermarket radio."

Setup of the interface does not require a computer and is done through the vehicle instrument cluster and steering wheel controls. Users have the ability of adjusting Gain, Bass, Treble, Balance, Fade and Logic 7 at will. To help ensure safe operation behind the wheel, the M.O.S.T  HUR MB V2  has a built-in steering wheel control interface which allows volume, track, Bluetooth and other radio functions to be controlled without taking your hands off the wheel or eyes off the road.* A video demonstration of the installation, features, setup and compatibility of the M.O.S.T  HUR MB V2 may be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtXhOBiDav8.

The M.O.S.T  HUR MB V2 is compatible with the following Mercedes Benz vehicles with a factory MOST fiber optic amplifier:

2006-2008 ML

2006-2008 GL

2006-2008 R
