ESCORT ZR5 Laser Shifter

The ZR5 Laser Shifter includes two ShifterMax sensors, bridge box, in-vehicle controller and interface enabling the Shifter System to either be used independently or through a direct wire cord to plug into existing ESCORT windshield mounted detectors for complete radar & laser protection. The ZR5 is also expandable with two additional ShifterMax sensors for a total of four shifters providing maximum front or rear laser protection.

ESCORT ZW5 Laser Shifter

The ZW5 Shifter System is designed to wirelessly integrate with ESCORT windshield mounted detectors by allowing full audio and visual alert output as well as complete ShifterMax system control all through the windshield mounted detector in real time. The ZW5 includes a wireless interface, bridge box, ZW5 Smartcord, and two ShifterMax sensors. The interface mounts under the hood and communicates to the ESCORT windshield unit through wireless technology. iDatalink Maestro RR2 interface enables touch-screen control of alerts, location marking and more.

LONG BEACH, CALIF., August 7, 2018 (MEDIAWIRE)– KENWOOD USA announced that ESCORT’s two installed radar detection platforms—ESCORT iX Ci and ESCORT MAX Ci—can now work with the latest KENWOOD and KENWOOD eXcelon digital multimedia receivers. The integration, which is achieved via connection to the new iDatalink Maestro RR2 interface by Automotive Data Solutions (ADS), enables drivers to get alerts and adjust settings of the detection system. The Maestro RR2 will ship at the end of August and will be available through authorized KENWOOD retailers.

With the new integration, drivers see ESCORT radar detector information on the KENWOOD multimedia screen, including vehicle speed and the current location’s speed limit. Alerts play through the vehicle’s front speaker, announcing the specific radar or laser band, current vehicle speed and direction (if rear radar is installed).  The driver can use the touch screen to turn off the laser shifter (if equipped) and mark red-light cameras, speed traps and police locations.

Consumer spending increases for eighth straight year and is projected to keep growing.

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (July 31, 2018) –The automotive specialty equipment market experienced an eighth straight year of post-recession growth, reaching $43 billion in 2017, as reported in the 2018 SEMA Market Report. This number represents a four percent growth over the previous year and is projected to increase through the end of 2018.

Highlights from the 2018 SEMA Market Report include:

  • Pickup products accounted for $12.44 billion (29 percent) of sales in 2017
  • In-store purchases accounted for roughly two-thirds of all retail sales in 2017

Creates Opportunity for Vendor and Dealer Partners to Improve and Grow Relationships

TAMPA, Fla. Dealers traveled in from across DOW’s 13 state territory for the event that took place July 23rd and 24th.

DOW designed the Elite Dealer Retreat around the desire to improve partnerships with their vendors and with their customers. The retreat provided a platform for vendors to train dealers, gather feedback, and improve relationships in a relaxed atmosphere. Monday’s agenda included six breakout sessions that were specifically tailored to the dealer audience and a networking dinner with a closest to the hole golf competition. Dealers were treated to an activity of their choice on Tuesday, including guided bass fishing tours, sporting clays, spa services, or golfing on Streamsong’s newest course which Golf Magazine named Best New Course of 2017.
