Auburn Hills, Mich. (Sept. 8, 2022) – Today Alps Alpine North America, Inc. (“Alpine”) launches its TIDAL integration available via a free software update. The compatible head units include the new Alpine Halo11 iLX-F511, the Alpine Halo9 iLX-F509, the iLX-507, and Jeep®-specific radios i509-WRA-JK and i509-WRA-JL. Alpine is the first aftermarket car audio company with full TIDAL integration.
Music the Way the Artist Intended
High-Resolution Audio is quickly becoming the new benchmark for music reproduction, and as the desire for high-fidelity playback becomes mainstream, many music artists are starting to release the “master” (uncompressed) studio recordings of their songs or albums.
Hi-Res Audio playback captures and reproduces the details that are lost in lower-quality, compressed file formats. These details, like the breath of the artist or subtle interactions with the instruments, contribute to a listening experience that was once previously exclusive to the “master” studio recordings, and in turn, allow the listener to experience music as the artist originally intended.
However, playback of Hi-Res music files or streaming is only made possible through audio sources that support the intended Hi-Res specification. Using trickle-down technology from Alpine’s new High-Res line; Ultra AlpineF#1Status (384kHz/64Bit) and Alpine Status System (192kHz/24Bit), Alpine’s new line of head units are able to reproduce music at the High-Res spec of 96kHz/24Bit.
Making Hi-Res Sound More Accessible
From today, compatible Alpine head unit customers can access the high-res streaming experience with TIDAL, accessing its catalog of over 90 million songs. For TIDAL HiFi and HiFi Plus Members, they’ll get lossless audio and high-fidelity music options for superior sound quality that elevates the music experience. TIDAL Masters, delivered in partnership with Master Quality Authenticated (MQA), allows HiFi Plus Members to listen to music exactly as the artist intended the track to sound. With thousands of expertly curated playlists, customers will be able to listen to all genres and discover new artists via TIDAL Rising.
Customers can access select TIDAL features directly on the head unit, including My Mix, a personalized curation of sound based on listening history, expertly curated playlists and individualized daily listening insights. The TIDAL feature also has convenient access to music controls like Play/Pause, Repeat, Shuffle, Playing List, and Search, where listeners can browse through featured artists, genres, “moods,” and more.
To get started, the software update is free to download and can be found on the Alpine Knowledge Center (https://kb.alpine-usa.com). The TIDAL app is available on the App Storeor Google Play. A TIDAL subscription is required and sold separately. To access TIDAL on the Alpine Head Unit, the head unit must be tethered to a mobile or smartphone hotspot. Data rates may apply.

Alpine Electronics is now shipping the X110-SLV and X110-SRA, the first aftermarket audio/video/navigation/Bluetooth® systems equipped with a 10-inch capacitive touch screen.
The X110-SLV and X110-SRA are new additions to the Alpine Restyle family of products, which consist of full-featured touch screen systems packaged with vehicle specific dash bezels and control keys. In addition to being the largest full featured systems in the aftermarket, both models also have system expansion capabilities that allow them to serve as the control hub for add-on products.
“Alpine is again pushing ahead with exceptional solutions that meet the needs of truck owners,” said Steve Crawford, vice president and general manager, aftermarket business unit, Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. “The X110-SLV and X110-SRA, for the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, respectively, are the only 10-inch aftermarket systems available and are high quality upgrades since equivalent aftermarket solutions do not exist for these trucks due to their non-standard dash openings.”
Designed with Details for a Factory Look
The X110-SLV and X110-SRA are Alpine engineered for 2014-up Chevrolet Silverado trucks and GMC Sierra trucks. They come with a dash bezel that entirely replaces the OEM radio area and control keys that match the shape and color of the truck. A large rotary encoder knob allows for fast volume control, while big function keys give immediate access to the most-used features like navigation and music.
The X110-SLV has crystal keys back-lit with blue lighting to match the Silverado’s gauge cluster and a blue color scheme for the on-screen graphical user interface (GUI). The X110-SLV was named a winner of the CES 2016 Innovation Award in the In Vehicle Audio/Video category. For the X110-SRA, red lighting and a red color scheme are used to match the Sierra’s gauge cluster. Both come with vehicle specific wiring harnesses for plug and play installation.
New Hardware Platform and Operating System
Both the 2014-up Chevrolet Silverado and 2014-up GMC Sierra have shallow depth space behind the dash which cannot fit a traditional 2-DIN audio/video/navigation (AVN) chassis.
The X110-SLV and X110-SRA use a new modular platform where the processing chassis is not attached to the screen. Instead, it’s a separate piece that replaces the OEM radio module in its existing location behind the dash, but detached from the screen.
The result is a completely bolt-in solution with no cutting or modification of the vehicle required. All the needed wire harnesses and connectors are also included.
The X110-SLV and X110-SRA also incorporate a new GUI based on a new graphics rendering engine with swipe action control for 4-way movement -- left, right, up and down.
The user is always one swipe away from the most commonly accessed functions. A left swipe accesses the navigation commands, a right swipe accesses audio and video commands, a swipe up accesses adjustments to the audio system or rear seat entertainment system (sold separately) and a swipe down accesses Bluetooth and source selection. Within the audio and video page, the user can swipe across to access the entertainment sources connected to the system.
System Expansion Capabilities
Both the X110-SLV and X110-SRA can serve as control hubs for other accessories. When either system is used with the optional KAC-001 External Accessory Control Module (sold separately), the 10-inch screen becomes a hub for touch screen control of add-on truck accessories like a motorized tonneau cover, winch, air suspension, LED lights, headlights, etc. Eight individual outputs are available to control eight relay-connected accessories.
A graphical icon and custom text label can be assigned to each accessory for quick identification on the screen. The individual accessories can be configured as pulsed, latched or momentary outputs.
The X110-SLV and X110-SRA are compatible with Alpine’s rear and front camera systems. The KCX-C250MC Multi-Camera Controller (sold separately) can be added to optimize the use of multiple camera systems.
This optional module allows up to three camera systems (rear, front and side) to be controlled from the 10-inch touch screen. This provides one-touch viewing of any of the camera images on the 10-inch screen.
Retained Factory Features
The X110-SLV and X110-SRA each come with an iDatalink® Maestro® module and specific T-harness to retain select factory vehicle controls and features. The retained features for both models include steering wheel controls, navigation outputs, climate control display, warning chimes, OnStar® (voice commands, Bluetooth® hands free calling and WiFi hot spot retention) and visual parking guides when used with an Alpine or factory rear view camera. Customized vehicle information such as tire pressure, battery voltage, door status, check engine codes, factory settings and user selectable gauges can be viewed on the 10-inch screen.
Audio and Sound Tuning Features
Audio and sound tuning features available on the X110-SLV and X110-SRA include:
· HD Radio™ Technology: The built-in HD Radio receiver delivers free, crystal clear digital sound from the more than 2,000 AM and FM stations broadcasting with HD Radio Technology and includes Artist Experience, MultiCast and iTunes Tagging support. Alpine’s MediaXpander® technology provides further enhanced sound quality by adding back missing harmonics in compressed media.
· iPod® and iPhone®: The models are “Made for iPod and iPhone” compatible and have USB access.
· Pandora® internet radio: Pandora control is available from iPhone® and Android™ smartphones. Users can create new Pandora stations, rate songs with thumbs up or down, and bookmark songs for later purchase.
· SiriusXM: Both models are SiriusXM-Ready™ and connect to the SiriusXM SXV300 Connect Vehicle Tuner Kit (sold separately, subscription required). SiriusXM features include: album art; display of channel logos; pause, rewind and replay up to 60 minutes of content while listening to satellite radio; start songs from the beginning when tuned to any favorite music channel using TuneStart™; scan and select songs on favorite music channels with TuneScan™.
· FLAC/MP3/WMA/AAC/HE-AAC music playback via USB.
· Sound tuning features: The large touch screen lets users easily adjust fader/balance/subwoofer levels, bass and treble frequencies, time correction, parametric EQ, crossover or choose from 10 EQ presets. Alpine’s Bass Engine SQ applies simple bass sound characteristics through the choice of five bass profiles. Alpine’s new Dual HD EQ allows for independent parametric equalizer tuning of front versus rear speakers to optimize total sound quality by leveraging differences in speaker sizes. The X110-SLV and X110-SRA are also compatible with the Alpine TuneIt® App, a free app that lets users adjust sound settings or choose pre-made settings from the convenience of their smartphone.
Video and Navigation Features
The Restyle dash systems have a high-resolution screen for crisp, detailed picture quality. The Dual Zone video control lets drivers use a source in the dash while the back seat passengers enjoy a separate video on the rear seat screen (optional rear seat entertainment system sold separately).
Both models have an HDMI input for connectivity to HDMI-enabled devices and an HDMI output for digital connection to a rear seat entertainment system (KCX-630HD HDMI switcher required).
Alpine’s proprietary navigation interface includes pre-loaded maps of the United States, Canada and more than seven million Points of Interest (POIs). Major landmarks, buildings and terrain details for major cities are depicted in 3-D. Driving directions are delivered through text-to-speech announcements and the highway services list displays the services available at each exit (gas, food, ATMs, etc.) to help drivers make quick decisions while en route. The systems come with free lifetime HERE Traffic RDS service.
Bluetooth® Wireless Technology Features
Alpine’s advanced Bluetooth® wireless technology features include secure simple pairing (SSP); multipoint technology that allows for pairing and connecting of two different Bluetooth devices at the same time; phone battery, cellular signal level and received message icons; as well as call waiting. Sound quality features include Alpine’s MediaXpander® technology for better playback of compressed media, improved audio streaming, and enhanced phone call sound quality.
“My Favorites” Customizable Settings
The “My Favorites” feature lets users customize a quick-access screen with shortcuts to their most-used features. Shortcuts can be created from audio sources, navigation commands and phone settings. If the chosen radio station broadcasts metadata, the metadata is automatically fed into the radio station shortcut icon so the user can see the song that is playing before selecting the radio station. The shortcuts are added by pressing the shortcut soft key that appears within all audio and hands-free sources.

The Car Pays Homage to Richard Petty’s Record-Setting Daytona 500 Win
Torrance, Calif. (Feb. 14, 2019) - Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. has partnered with Petty’s Garage on a 1981 Buick Regal. The Buick is a replica of the race car that was driven by “The King,” NASCAR legend Richard Petty, when he captured his historic seventh Daytona 500 win in 1981. Petty’s win set a record that still remains unbroken today.
Petty’s Garage replicated the Buick for their partner, General Tire. While the Buick’s styling stays true to the original race car, Petty’s Garage invited Alpine to supply a premium audio system for the car. Although it’s unusual to have an audio system in a race car, the Alpine system will be used as entertainment when this replica car is at consumer events. A pair of R-S65.2 6.5-inch R-Series Coaxial Speakers are installed in the doors, while R-S69C.2 6x9-inch Component Speakers are mounted in the rear wall. An R-W12D4 12-inch Subwoofer is in a custom enclosure in the left rear of the trunk, and the system is powered by a PDR-V75 5-Channel Amplifier.
The Buick features General Tire G Max RS tires, custom paint in Petty Blue and Day Glow Orange, and other Petty’s Garage components. Petty’s Garage, an authorized Alpine retailer, is a high-performance speed shop owned by Petty and based in Level Cross, NC.
The Buick was unveiled on February 8, 2019 as part of the Daytona Beach ARCA race, one of the events at the Daytona International Speedway leading up to the annual Daytona 500 race this Sunday, February 17. Race fans can see the car and its Alpine system while the vehicle is on display in the General Tire booth at the speedway’s Fanzone. General Tire will also take the car to various consumer events throughout the year.

Connectivity with Chamberlain Group’s MyQ® App Represents Alpine’s Launch into the Internet of Things
Torrance, Calif. (Oct. 31, 2017) – Alpine Electronics of America, Inc., manufacturer of premium in-vehicle infotainment systems, announced a partnership with Chamberlain Group, a global leader in access solutions and manufacturer of Chamberlain® and LiftMaster® garage door opener brands. Several of Alpine’s aftermarket in-dash navigation systems can now control Chamberlain and LiftMaster residential garage door openers, as well as smart lighting controls and other devices, signifying Alpine’s launch into the Internet of Things (IOT).
“Over the past few years, we’ve increased the capabilities of our Alpine in-dash systems to allow control over other vehicle accessories,” said Mike Anderson, Vice President and General Manager, Alpine Brand Business division. “Our partnership with Chamberlain Group and their MyQ app presents a logical progression for Alpine to now expand into the Internet of Things.”
“We’re proud to partner with Alpine to bring the convenience and capabilities of MyQ to their customers,” said Jim Trainor, Vice President & General Manager, Automotive, Chamberlain Group. “Alpine users will benefit from the peace of mind that comes with monitoring and controlling home access from the comfort of their vehicle.”
The MyQ app allows users of internet-connected Chamberlain and LiftMaster MyQ-enabled garage door openers to check the status and control their garage door from anywhere with a smartphone or other internet-connected device. The MyQ app can also turn on/off lights and can activate the “Home” or “Away” mode on Nest Learning Thermostats. The partnership with Chamberlain Group allows Alpine to offer products that are connected through the IOT by having MyQ controlled through the free Alpine Connect smartphone app. Alpine Connect gathers select apps and optimizes them with a simple, vehicle-friendly interface for use on compatible Alpine navigation systems. Once Alpine Connect is launched on the smartphone, the phone connects to the Alpine navigation system via Bluetooth for Android™ phones or USB for iPhone™. At that point, the content from the apps is fed through the Alpine interface and accessed through the Alpine touch screen.
Owners of select Alpine navigation systems can use MyQ on Alpine Connect to open their garage door as they’re approaching their home, turn on the lights so the house is lit when they enter, and activate the “Home” mode on their Nest Learning Thermostat so the house is at a comfortable temperature when they arrive -- all from the Alpine touch screen. Some vehicles, like the Jeep Wrangler, do not have built-in keys to allow programming to a garage door remote control, so MyQ used through Alpine Connect becomes a handy feature for these vehicles.
The MyQ and Alpine Connect apps are available now on the App Store and Google Play for use in the U.S. and Canada. There is a subscription fee of $1/month or $10/year to link the MyQ app to Alpine Connect. MyQ through Alpine Connect is compatible with these Alpine navigation systems:
MyQ through Alpine Connect is on display in Alpine’s Jeep Wrangler demo vehicle at the SEMA Show, which is taking place today through November 3, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV. The Wrangler is in the Smittybilt booth, South Hall Upper Level #35061.
Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. is solely responsible for the design and marketing of Alpine Restyle products. Alpine and Alpine Restyle are registered trademarks of Alpine Electronics, Inc. Chamberlain, LiftMaster and MyQ are registered trademarks of Chamberlain Group, Inc. Jeep and Wrangler are registered trademarks of FCA USA, LLC. Torrance, Calif. (Jan. 5, 2017) — Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. has introduced the iLX-107, an aftermarket in-dash receiver dedicated to wireless Apple CarPlay. The iLX-107 with 7-inch touch screen will be available for North America and gives drivers an even more convenient way to use Apple CarPlay in their vehicle. The iLX-107 is an AM/FM receiver with a 7-inch WVGA capacitive touch screen and LED backlighting for bright visibility. Wireless Apple CarPlay lets iPhone users make and receive calls, access text messages, play music, and get directions optimized for traffic conditions in a way that allows them to stay focused on the road. Apple CarPlay is accessed through the iLX-107’s touch screen or through Siri voice control, and the resulting music, driving directions and phone calls are played through the vehicle’s speaker system. Apple CarPlay is compatible with iPhone 5 and later, including iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and the latest version of iOS.
Once wireless Apple CarPlay has been set up, the iLX-107 will automatically search for and connect to the most frequently paired iPhone for all subsequent uses. Since the Apple CarPlay connection to the iLX-107 is wireless, there is no need to remove the iPhone from a pocket or purse to use it in the vehicle. The solution includes all the technology needed for OEM Integration
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (Jan. 14, 2021) – Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. introduces the newest 12-Channel Advanced Wireless Digital Sound Processor (DSP) to their lineup with the PXE-0850X. This solution replaces the PXE-0850S with the next generation of upgraded technology that allows integration into factory systems.
“As factory systems continue to advance, Alpine provides solutions that will not only integrate into a factory system but help the discerning audio consumer build their ideal sound system,” said Mike Anderson, Vice President and General Manager, Brand Business Unit, Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.
OEM Integration
The PXE-0850X has 6 low and/or high-level inputs that can be mixed to create a full range signal that sends up to 12 independent channels for versatility in OEM and aftermarket system building. Eight of the 12 channels can utilize 25W of powered output to allow even more flexibility.
New and improved software matches the user interface (UI) of the PXE-X09 (introduced in 2020) and provides a cleaner layout that simplifies the mixer and tuning flow.
Tuning Tools
The processor can be tuned with the 31 Band Parametric or Graphic EQ for precise adjustments. Detailed high/low crossovers and expansive time correction can be made to each of the 12 channels. This allows the tuner to overcome acoustical abnormalities in the vehicle and set a proper sound stage for premium sound performance.
Tuning can be done wirelessly via Bluetooth® from a smartphone or through a wired USB connection with a PC. By downloading the free PXE-0850X DSP app (available on the App Store or Google Play™), customers can get real-time tuning results and compare them with the “Before” and “After” effect. Tuning files can be saved directly to a smartphone, hard drive, or thumb drive for storage and shared via text message or email.
Music on Command
Access to some of the DSP’s features is presented in the included LCD controller, which can be flush-mounted on the dash for easy access. The rotary knob can quickly adjust volume, preset storage and recall, subwoofer level, and source selection with results displayed on the LED screen.
The PXE-0850X can also be used as a head unit or music source in older vehicles. The PXE-0850X can receive music sent directly from a smartphone with Bluetooth® wireless streaming, so customers can listen to their playlists without replacing the factory head unit or adding an aftermarket head unit.
The PXE-0850X will ship in March 2021 at a MAP of $699.95 and will be available at Alpine Authorized retailers and Preferred Online Stores. Installation options can be found on the Alpine-USA website through the store locator.

The system uses trickle-down engineering and design from AlpineF#1Status
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (Mar. 04, 2022) – Alps Alpine Co., Ltd. a leading manufacturer of electronic components and automotive infotainment systems, and its domestic marketing division Alpine Electronics of America, Inc., introduces the High-Resolution Alpine Status System with High-Spec High-Resolution Audio Playback (192kHz/24Bit).
“Our constant pursuit to create and implement the best components and technology into sound systems like AlpineF#1Status trickle down into platforms like Alpine Status and push each product to achieve the highest in audio performance,” said Mike Anderson, Vice President and General Manager, Brand Business Unit, Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.
High-Resolution Sound Made Accessible
Using the same engineering and design concepts drawn from the third generation, Ultra High-Resolution AlpineF#1Status system, Alpine created Alpine Status to achieve High-Resolution Sound at a more approachable and accessible price point.
Alpine Status achieves 192kHz/24Bit playback, which is 6.5 times the amount of digital audio data in a standard CD or digital streaming service and exceeds the standard High-Resolution Spec of 96kHz/24Bit found in most aftermarket sound solutions. This allows Alpine Status to capture and accurately reproduce details like the breath of the artist or a musician’s subtle interaction with an instrument. This capability not only reproduces music to the artist’s original intention but emulates the experience of a studio recording in the vehicle.
High-Resolution System Components
Alpine Status features eight components that are optimized in both power and performance as a complete system to play at their intended high-resolution spec. However, each component can be purchased independently for custom system building.
The HDS-990 Head Unit achieves 192kHz/24Bit playback via wired USB DAC connection or wireless Bluetooth® connection. This ensures that any High-Resolution music files stored on a USB or smartphone will be reproduced at the intended spec. The Head Unit includes a compact controller with buttons for basic music controls, a High-Resolution color screen that displays playback data and album cover artwork, a volume knob for quick sound controls, and a separate black box for flexible installation in the vehicle. High-Resolution 25Wx4 amplifier output, high-performance RCA outputs, and an optical TOSLINK port allow for flexible system building with the HDP-D90 Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Amplifier.
The HDP-D90 DSP Amplifier has a 192kHz/64Bit internal sampling rate and an ultra-wide audio bandwidth of 10Hz-110kHz to reproduce sound at its intended High-Resolution spec. Intentional designs, like a copper-plated chassis, bring the signal-to-noise ratio up to >110dB and minimize noise and distortion during playback. Drawing inspiration from the internal Master Clock Management System in the AlpineF#1Status DSP, the HDP-D90 contains a Crystal Oscillator Clock Generator at the core of the unit that tracks and aligns digital information to eliminate jitter (timing errors) and accurately reproduce sound.
The DSP has multiple input options for flexible system building. For vehicles that are unable to replace the factory head unit, the DSP has 12 channels of high-level input that allow the factory head unit to be retained. For those who wish to upgrade their factory head unit, the DSP has optical inputs that can add the Alpine Status HDS-990 Head Unit or analog inputs for another aftermarket head unit. The DSP also functions as a standalone music source and can receive music sent directly from a smartphone with Bluetooth® wireless streaming.
While the HDP-D90 has 12-channels of amplification (50W x 8 + 80W x 4) and can be used to power an entire system, 10-channels of RCA output can be used to add Alpine Status amplifiers for more power or system building: the HDA-F60 4-Channel Amplifier, HDA-V90 5-Cannel Amplifier, or HDA-M80 Mono Power Amplifier.
For the audiophile that’s looking to build their ideal sound system, Alpine Status offers a dynamic 3-Way Speaker Set (HDZ-653) with a High-Resolution bandwidth of 55Hz – 60kHz that includes a 6.5-inch Mid-Bass, 3-inch Mid-Range, and 2” Ring-Radiator Tweeter. A traditional, 2-Way Speaker Set (HDZ-65C) is also available and includes a 6.5-inch Mid-Bass and 2” Ring-Radiator Tweeter.
To ensure that each speaker achieves High-Resolution playback, each component is made from the same Carbon Composite material to create a unified timbre identity during playback. For added installation flexibility, the Alpine Status Speakers are also available in an OEM-fitment option for the tweeters in a 3-way (HDZ-653S), 2-Way (HDZ-65CS), or Coaxial (HDZ-65) Speaker Set option.
The massive, 11-inch HDZ-110 Alpine Status subwoofer houses a neodymium magnet to ensure efficient power delivery and reproduce an impressive 400W RMS/800W Peak Power Handling. A hybrid carbon cone with double-gathered surround minimizes distortion to reproduce clean, accurate bass even at loud volumes.
The Alpine Status system will ship in Summer 2022 and will be available at Alpine Authorized retailers and at Preferred Online Stores. Installation options can be found on the Alpine-USA website through the store locator.

The new receivers were designed intentionally for Jeep®
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (Jan. 06, 2022) – Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. introduces two new 9” Weather-Resistant Jeep® receivers, the i509-WRA-JL for the new 2018-Up Jeep® Wrangler and 2020-Up Jeep® Gladiator and the i509-WRA-JK for the 2011-2018 Jeep® Wrangler. The new receivers were designed for plug-and-play installation while featuring High-Resolution Audio Playback, High-Resolution Display, and wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.
“Alpine has a unique relationship with the Jeep® customer, and with that relationship in mind, we craft mindful solutions made to enhance the Jeep® lifestyle.” said Mike Anderson, Vice President and General Manager, Brand Business Unit, Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. “We believe the new Jeep® Receivers will take the Jeep® driving experience to the next level.”
Go Beyond Expectation
Since 2015, Alpine has attended countless Jeep® -specific events and gathered first-hand customer feedback to craft the perfect solution for the Jeep® vehicle. Through intentional upgrades, along with a deep understanding of the customer, our next-generation Jeep® dash technology includes High-Resolution specs that will enhance the Jeep® driving experience.
The all-new i509-WRA-JL and i509-WRA-JK Weather-Resistant Receivers feature High-Resolution Audio Playback and Jeep® -specific tuning to bring out the full potential of music in the Jeep®. They also include a WXGA High-Resolution, Anti-Glare Display (1280x720px) for enhanced performance.
Features like Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and built-in Bluetooth® hands-free calling with audio streaming allows access to music, messages, phone calls, and maps on a smartphone via either a wired USB connection or wirelessly. These features are controlled through touch or voice commands with the included external microphone.
An industry-first for aftermarket receivers, the i509-WRA-JL and i509-WRA-JK feature SiriusXM 360L, which combines satellite and streaming content delivery for even more choices in entertainment than before (SXV300 Connect Vehicle Tuner Kit sold separately; SiriusXM subscription required). Built-in HD Radio® is also included for additional entertainment options.
Designed for Jeep®
By learning the pain points and priorities of the Jeep® customer, Alpine has been able to craft solutions that were designed specifically for Jeep®. The 9” display is housed in a Jeep® -specific trim bezel that emulates the look and feel of the Jeep® dash. A Jeep® -specific harness is included with the receiver to take out the guesswork during installation and make it a true plug-and-play solution. The displays feature a Jeep® -specific opening screen and LED color scheme for a consistent design with factory Jeep® settings.
As most Jeep® customers enjoy driving with the top off, the display is also weather-resistant (rated IP53 for dust and ingress) for uninterrupted performances in any driving condition.
Upgrading dash technology can often result in a loss of factory functionality such as steering wheel controls and access to engine codes. However, the i509-WRA-JL and i509-WRA-JK are compatible with the iDatalink® Maestro Module (sold separately) allowing select factory features like voice-activated media player, Bluetooth® technology, and steering wheel controls to be retained and vehicle information displayed on the screen. The iDatalink® can also integrate with the Jeep® diagnostic port so select vehicle information like tire pressure, battery voltage, door status, engine codes, and user-customizable gauges can be monitored on the display.
Exciting System Expandability Options
Whether commuting or off-roading, avoid obstacles in the road with the included front and rear camera inputs to add a front or rearview camera (sold separately) to the i509-WRA-JK. The rearview camera includes a distance guide display that overlays guidelines onto the screen for ease when moving in reverse. Multiple camera angles can be viewed with the KCX-C2600B Universal Front and Rear Camera Selector (sold separately). The i509-WRA-JL retains the factory rear-view camera for the new 2018-Up Jeep® Wrangler and 2020-Up Jeep® Gladiator.
Take driving safety even further with the DVR-C320R Premium 1080P Front and Rear Dash Camera with built-in drive assist (sold separately), compatible with the i509-WRA-JL and i509-WRA-JK.
While the i509-WRA-JL and i509-WRA-JK do not have built-in navigation, the new KTX-NS01 Navigation Module (sold separately) provides seamless, on-and-off-road navigation, as an option. This is delivered through the Navigation Module, designed to plug into the receiver via USB connection for a convenient way to access the latest maps on the display.
Integrated tuning features bring out the full potential of music playback with a 5-band graphic EQ or 13-band parametric EQ per channel, for continuous frequency control. The 6-channel time correction capability ensures that music is staged properly in the front and center of the vehicle. If more power is needed, additional amplifiers can be added using the three sets of true 4V preamp outputs with front, rear, and subwoofer control.
While the i509-WRA-JL and i509-WRA-JK are mech-less (no CD/DVD player) an HDMI input and output are included to allow the user to add a DVD player, or even a smartphone to the head unit for an all-digital audio and video connection through a single cable.
The i509-WRA-JL and i509-WRA-JK will ship in February 2022 at a MAP of $2199.95 and $1999.95 respectively and will be available at Alpine Authorized retailers and at Preferred Online Stores. Installation options can be found on the Alpine-USA website through the store locator.

The subwoofers feature Alpine’s next-generation R-Series Subwoofers
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (Jan. 07, 2022) – Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. introduces the next-generation Alpine Halo R2-Series Preloaded Subwoofer Enclosures with ProLink™. The enclosures come preloaded with Alpine’s new 10” and 12” R2-Series subwoofers that feature an all-new design to offer cleaner, more controlled bass response.
“Alpine believes in the constant pursuit of better sound,” said Mike Anderson, Vice President and General Manager, Brand Business Unit, Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. “Adding the next-gen R2-Series subwoofers to our Alpine Halo enclosures is just one step towards getting the most premium sound experience in the vehicle.
Deeper Bass Output
Since its introduction, Alpine’s R-Series sound system family has been known for incredible output and outstanding performance. Today Alpine introduces the next-generation of sound performance with the new R2-Series subwoofers, featured in the Alpine Halo R2-Series Preloaded Subwoofer Enclosures with ProLink™.
These next-generation R2-Series Subwoofers feature larger, double-stacked magnets, which results in an increase of 5%-8% more motor strength in the subwoofer compared to the previous generation. This increase in motor strength produces a wider frequency band in the subwoofer, which will in turn play deeper bass with more authority. The new R2 design also delivers improved control over the moving subwoofer cone for tighter, cleaner bass response.
Additional design improvements to the subwoofers include a new ceramic composite dust cap that is lightweight, yet rigid and provides incredible internal damping (vibration absorption) to smooth out the frequency response and reproduce tight bass. This premium, unique material also has a higher heat capacity that contributes to the non-stop bass performance customers have come to expect from Alpine’s R-Series system.
The new R2-Series subwoofers contain Alpine’s High Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) Surround Technology. This rubber surround allows the subwoofer cone to efficiently move air while staying cool, which also contributes to increased output from the subwoofers.
The new design and enhanced performance of the next-generation R2-Series subwoofers results in a cleaner, more controlled bass response from the Alpine Halo R2-Series Preloaded Subwoofer Enclosures with ProLink™. The ported enclosures feature an optimized vent and rounded internal port edges that maximize the output performance of the subwoofer, for deeper, reliable bass. Each enclosure is also wired for optimized performance with Alpine’s R-Series R-A75M Mono Power Amplifier.
Unique ProLink® Technology
Traditionally, single and dual subwoofer enclosures are sold as independent systems, leaving no room for flexibility when it comes to sound system building. If a single subwoofer enclosure was originally purchased, the only option for adding more bass to the system was to remove the single subwoofer enclosure and purchase a new, dual subwoofer enclosure.
Alpine’s unique ProLink™ technology was designed with the sound system builder in mind. ProLink™ allows more flexibility in both power and price to start with a single subwoofer enclosure and add an additional subwoofer using a Linking Kit (sold separately) to link two enclosures together to create a dual system when more bass is desired.
Groundbreaking Alpine Halo Design
The Alpine Halo R2-Series Preloaded Subwoofer Enclosures with ProLink™ share the premium, unmistakable design of the Alpine Halo Family. The enclosures pull design cues from the Alpine Halo Display with unique, curved edges outlined by a silver trim and a front baffle for a matching system aesthetic. Built with sturdy, 3/4” MDF construction and covered in a premium black carpet, these enclosures give the impression of a custom look, without the custom work.
The R2-SB12V and R2-SB10V will ship in January 2022 at a MAP of $449.95 and $429.95 respectively.
The next-generation R2-Series Subwoofers featured in the Alpine Halo R2-Series Preloaded Subwoofer Enclosures with ProLink™ will also be available as separate components in an 8” option for $219.95 (R2-W8D4, R2-W8D2) 10” for $299.95 (R2-W10D4, R2-W10D2), and 12” for $349.95 (R2-W12D4, R2-W12D2).
All products will be available at Alpine Authorized retailers and at Preferred Online Stores. Installation options can be found on the Alpine-USA website through the store locator.
