STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® played host to more than a dozen dealers and rep firms this past week (May 8-11) during a two-day training and tour of KICKER Headquarters.

The group was also the first to experience a demo of the new KICKER Ford® Bronco, equipped with nine 12-inch SoloX® L7X® subwoofers and 36,000 watts worth of KICKER Warhorse amplification (anticipated release in late 2023). The group was the first to experience the vehicle outside of KICKER employees and will play for the first time in public at Slamology (Lucas Oil Speedway, Indianapolis) in mid-June.

“The Bronco was incredible, and so was the entire experience,” said Remy Viator of Showtime Electronics (Knoxville, Tenn.). “I was impressed with how well organized the company is and was blown away by everyone’s welcoming attitude.”

The 22-person class also got hands-on training with the SoloX reconing process, and later Global Training Manager Aaron Malin led the group on an extensive tour of the facility, including a chance to audition speakers in the company’s listening labs.

The week also included in-depth discussions with Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing Tom Heath, as well as the Vice President of Product Strategy Bart Deal.

Viator was impressed with the information and pace of the training.

“I thought there was going to be a lot of sitting around in front of a whiteboard,” he said. “The fact we moved around a lot made it even more enjoyable.”

STILLWATER, USA – For the first time in four years, KICKER® is playing host to members of every domestic sales-rep firm October 2-5 here at the company’s world headquarters.

The agenda for RepFest will be packed with a tour of the facility and several discussion groups involving current and future plans for the company. Topics including research and development, MAP price enforcement, product planning and current and future marketing efforts will all be covered. An open discussion will take place at the end of each session for feedback and additional input from the rep firms.

In addition to departmental updates, each group will receive a unique training experience during RepFest. Vital subjects like finding full-range signal will be taught, as well the benefits of KICKER’s KX-Series Amplifiers and its FIT2™ technology.

Also, the training department will discuss future products with the visitors, and KICKER’s Home and Personal Products group will discuss the upcoming additions to the Bullfrog® Bluetooth® Speaker and EB-Series Earbud lines.

To cap off the visit, reps will have an opportunity to visit KICKER’s acoustic labs, and also observe its 3D-printing technology in the product-development process.

STILLWATER, USA – For the first time in at least two years, KICKER® welcomed nearly three dozen dealers from the across the country to the company’s World Headquarters last week for a look at the facility, on-site product training and some fun.

Following a full tour of the operation and opening remarks from Vice President Tom Heath, KICKER Tech Force trainers held classes for two days of education on a number of topics, including KICKER products, integration technology, social media, sales training and marine products.

For the first time, KICKER’s XRV (Xtreme Recreational Vehicle) tractor-trailer was used as a rolling showroom during the training. The XRV served as a high-power backdrop to demonstrate KICKER’s new ST-Series of pro-audio speakers, in addition to complete systems in marine, motorcycle and car audio. ST-Series speakers should begin shipping by fourth quarter.

KICKER Tech Force Manager Aaron Malin enjoyed the “carnival atmosphere” the XRV’s massive presence brought to the training.

“The XRV is the anchor of any KICKER event,” Malin explained. “This was an opportunity to not only showcase our products, but our presence.” Malin and the rest of the Tech Force saw first-hand the “wow factor” that the 82-foot trailer can present onto a group of people, and that includes authorized KICKER dealers.

The agenda culminated with an in-depth discussion of current and future product development with several KICKER management members and engineers.

“With the mixture of sales and installers attending the trainings, we did our best to appeal to everybody by blending the sessions,” Malin explained. “There was something for everyone.”

5-22-2017, STILLWATER, USA – In what is becoming tradition, KICKER® World Headquarters played host to nearly 50 classic cars this week, just one stop among many along the 2017 Goodguys® Music City Road Tour.

Beginning in Phoenix, the week-long tour covered more than 2,000 miles, finishing in Nashville, Tenn., just in time for the Goodguys 12th Nashville Nationals May 19-21. The tour made stops at several prestigious car collections, hot rod shops and manufacturers along the route to the music capital. The Goodguys Rod and Custom Association promotes and produces the world's most dynamic hot rod, classic car and trick truck events.

As part of the event, hosts John Myers (KICKER product training) and Randy Botts (KICKER lead installer) led guided tours through KICKER's Stillwater facility. Snacks and beverages were also provided.

"It was great to see so many classic cars and car lovers taking the time to learn about what we do," said Myers. "We took them through the (Research and Development) department, our custom install shop, through the warehouse and all around our museum. There was a lot of interest, especially in the labs and quality control. Many of the visitors said they had no idea how much work and care went into making KICKER gear."

Among the Goodguys caravan was KICKER-sponsored rally-racers Team Mustang Girls, making one of their numerous cross-country treks in 2017. Driver Courtney Barber, co-pilot Amie Williams, and their 1965 Mustang have been regulars on the annual Goodguys Road Tours in recent years.

STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® played host to more than 20 dealers and rep firms here last week during a two-day training and tour of KICKER World Headquarters, which included hands-on experience with KICKER product and discussions with company executives from Sales, Marketing, Product Planning, and Research and Development. The tour began with the background story about the brand’s inception, shared by KICKER founder and CEO Steve Irby.

“It’s always enjoyable to welcome our dealer guests onto our campus,” said Tom Heath, KICKER Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We hope our visitors learn a little bit about what makes KICKER different, and we tend to get a lot of positive feedback after they’ve spent time with us for a few days.”

“It's easy to look at KICKER from afar and think it's another huge corporate entity,” said Bob Hernandez of distributor GoFast Solutions . “The truth is that's not accurate at all. Hearing Steve address the group is heartwarming. I've heard him do it several times and I'm touched every time. The peek behind the curtain at all the different departments – it gives great insight.”

The class received hands-on training with the SoloX® Subwoofer reconing process, led by KICKER Tech Force training manager Aaron Malin. Malin also led the group on an extensive tour of the facility, including a chance to audition speakers in the company’s listening lab.

In other activities, the group experienced a demo of the outrageous KICKER Ford® Bronco, equipped with nine, 12-inch SoloX subwoofers and 36,000 watts worth of KICKER Warhorse® amplification (anticipated release in late 2023). The Bronco will make another appearance this year at KnowledgeFest in Dallas, and again at the SEMA Show in November.

Marking a KICKER dealer-visit first, personnel from authorized dealer Brian’s Motorsports (Hendersonville, Tenn.) brought “Big Debra,” a converted bread truck, from their home base outside of Nashville, as well as their in-house videographer to document the experience. The modified ride features a pair of enormous KICKER Quad Boxes loaded with Solo-Baric® L7R Square Subwoofers, KS-Series Coaxials, and five CXA-Series Amplifiers. The three-minute recap can be seen on the Brian’s Motorsports YouTube® channel.

STILLWATER, USA – The perfect marriage of power and performance, KICKER® announces its first-ever PTRTP Powered Down-Firing Loaded Enclosures, available in a 10- and 12-inch model and now shipping. All enclosures come with a built-in, power-matched amplifier and convenient remote volume control. The enclosures are available for purchase at Authorized KICKER Dealers in-store and online. PTRTP Enclosures are also available at www.kicker.com.

Loaded into each enclosure is an active, KICKER CompRT® shallow-mount subwoofer, equipped with Forced Air Cooling™ to enhance the woofer’s efficiency and durability. A bumped top plate allows for full voice-coil clearance and excursion in a shallow-mount woofer, while the large-diameter, progressive-roll spider ensures increased linearity, better overall sound quality and outstanding bass reproduction.

Next to the active woofer is a reFLEX™ passive radiator, providing a significant bass upgrade without increasing overall depth of the already thin enclosure. The down-firing design allows the enclosure to fit in tight spaces, yet still deliver peak performance. Standing only about six inches high, the PTRTP is built to fit anywhere – from behind the seat of a pickup to the back of a hatchback. The rugged enclosure design has the added benefit of allowing items to be stacked on top of it, if mounted in a trunk or cargo area. The enclosures are carpeted and custom embroidered with the KICKER logo.

Featuring up to 500 watts of power and a best-in-class input sensitivity, PTRTP built-in amplifiers accept input voltages ranging from as little as 125 millivolts to as much as 40 volts, ensuring its compatibility with virtually any factory or aftermarket radio or source without the additional expense of a line-out converter.

STILLWATER, USA – In its first product release for 2022, KICKER® Audio announces a trio of down-firing loaded enclosures, each featuring KICKER’s thin-mount L7T™ square subwoofers. All enclosures come with a single 2-Ohm terminal, and are available in 8-, 10-, and 12-inch models. The enclosures are available for purchase at Authorized KICKER Dealers in-store and online. Soon to be introduced to the world on the KICKER UnMASKED! Live™ Weekly show, L7T Loaded Down-Firing Enclosures will retail from $279.99-$379.99. L7T Loaded Down-Firing Enclosures are also available at www.kicker.com.

Designed to fit perfectly under a seat or in your cargo area, each thin enclosure features plush black carpeting with rounded corners and custom embroidery. Inside the enclosure, thick MDF construction and heavy internal bracing offers strength and stability despite the stacked cargo that may be on top. The enclosures are carpeted and custom embroidered with the KICKER logo.

The inner workings of the L7T thin-mount subwoofer are unprecedented. L7T features an innovative “Forced-Air Cooling™” system that uses the woofer’s own cone movement to route more air through its motor, forcing unwanted heat out of vents built into the backplate and allowing the sub to run cooler than previous versions. Users get the bass they love, the sleek look, and the reliability beyond expectations.

KICKER’s exclusive UniPlate™ combines the pole piece and back-plate, making them a single, seamless unit that assists in pushing damaging heat away from the subwoofer. Perimeter venting is also used above the sub’s extended top-plate, pulling additional cooling air in and around the motor. The subwoofer’s top-plate utilizes a patented “bumped” design, allowing extra excursion and longer throw for deeper overall bass in an extremely thin design. Additionally, the unique, patented square cone provides nearly 20 percent additional cone area compared to a standard round-shaped sub of the same size, making a 12-inch square sub perform like a 13-inch round subwoofer, for example. As a result, the listener enjoys more volume and deeper bass.

STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® is proud to recognize two of the company’s International Distributors-of-the-Year for outstanding performance in 2019 – Grupo Monsiry (Mexico) and OG, Inc. (Japan).

Having earned a reputation as one of KICKER’s hardest-working distributor partners, Grupo Monsiry surpassed every goal KICKER management requested while serving Mexico, Central America and Colombia.

“They have shown a real tenacity in the marketplace,” said Chet Weddle, KICKER Director of International Sales. “No matter what goal we threw at them, they would hurdle it. When they attend shows, they do it in force. Just this past CES, they brought 15 members of their sales staff to the show.”

OG, Inc., led by principal Hideki Ogino, was chosen for the other International award in recognition of the extraordinary effort put forth in the distributor’s home country of Japan.

OG has been honored several times with this award. Its consistent excellence in marketing the KICKER brand has proven to be a benchmark. In determining who is honored, KICKER looks at how the brand is represented in each territory, in addition to financial considerations.

“They do up to 50 shows a year around the country,” explained Weddle. At every event, OG will bring many of their customers from Japan to experience the KICKER lifestyle. The effort they put forth earned them the recognition.”

STILLWATER, USA – Reacting on the news of no live SEMA Show 2020, Stillwater Designs®, the maker of KICKER® mobile-audio products, has announced that it will conduct its own virtual, private trade event for authorized dealers to stream and watch. And for the first time, consumers world-wide can also view their own virtual show and see what KICKER products and innovations will be hitting stores in early 2021.

The mobile-audio manufacturer is producing KICKER UnMASKED! Live™, streaming for three days October 21-23. It will be KICKER’s virtual look at the current state of the brand, a full look at new KICKER products shipping in 2021, and an interactive setup enabling viewers to ask questions and receive answers during and after the event being conducted from global headquarters in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

“We aim to be true to our roots and provide a one-on-one encounter like at our live events, while opening up and providing a new experience for 12-volt enthusiasts and the consumer public,” said Kevin Campbell, KICKER Director of Marketing. “These are audiences that typically never have the opportunity to experience the KICKER brand, people or products during the SEMA Show. It should be a lot of fun.”

Each day’s event will be shown to a specific audience with various topics covered during all productions, including a virtual, “rep-fest” pre-event day on Oct. 20. Then KICKER Sales Representatives and international distributors will conduct business and get a look at what’s new for 2021 on October 21 via live Zoom® meetings with KICKER Regional Sales Managers and the KICKER Tech training staff. These productions will be private with only KICKER internal parties attending.

KICKER Authorized Dealers and their respective work staffs will attend a similar training, shown twice on Thursday, Oct. 22, via Zoom webinars by private invitation. Bridwell Event Center in Wichita Falls, Texas October 6-7. “We are thrilled to see car-stereo competition experiencing a resurgence,” said Kip Litsey, Associate Marketing Director for KICKER. “As the size of the crowds and competitors continue to grow, we are looking forward to supporting the sport we all love – now and in the future.”

USACi Executive Director Jenissa Lillard expects a sizeable turnout to the event, with the number of registrations having increased yearly. Both sound-quality and sound-pressure events will be held at the Finals, and a second competition would be held at the show.

“We do have an extra 3-point event with Finals going on called the ‘2019 Race for Points’,” Lillard said. “It’s a way for people to build up points for the new season that is open to everyone.”

As a bonus, USACi will give every Finals competitor a free raffle ticket to win prizes ranging from batteries to audio equipment and LCD TVs.

STILLWATER, USA – This weekend KICKER® Audio will sponsor the Lone Star Throwdown (LST) for the sixth straight year. The show will take place Feb 26-28 at the Lone Star Expo Center in Conroe, Texas, and though KICKER will not have the physical presence it once had, the brand will still be represented by award-winning show trucks.

A past “Top 100” award winner, KICKER’s own Tim Smith will take his custom 1994 Chevy C1500 to the show. “One system always goes to the person that gets the ‘Hard-Luck Award’,” said Jarrod Dunahoo, one of the Showdown organizers. “The other system, in our travels throughout the weekend, we try to find a vehicle that could actually use a system. We call that the ‘Promoter’s Pick’.”

During the 10th anniversary of the popular show, more than 2,000 show cars have already pre-registered. LST officials anticipate attendance exceeding 15,000 people this year, with Top 100 and Best-of-Show awards being presented, along with a number of other cash prizes.
