Axxess AX-DSP Harnesses for Harley-Davidson

At the 2017 SEMA Show, Axxess introduced their first digital signal processor with a built-in interface and patented technology, the AX-DSP. Atlanta, Ga. – Concluding a fantastic season at this year’s Car Audio Championship in Louisville, KY, Aurigin, Inc. wishes to extend its gratitude and congratulations to the competitors having Hybrid Audio Technologies and Zapco-equipped vehicles, earning 28 Top-Five placements and four Championships in the 2018 IASCA and MECA Finals, in addition to both the MECA ‘Gates Cup,’ and ‘Culbertson Cup’ for highest sound quality in any MECA division being earned by Team Zapco members, and the ‘Best of Best of Show’ earned by a Team Hybrids member.

Over the course of the 2018 season, Team Hybrids and Team Zapco competitors accumulated a total of 338 Top-Three placements, combined. Both teams joined the total of 90 sound quality competitors who came with their best to compete at the IASCA North American Championship (INAC) and MECA ‘World Finals’ Soundfest at the 2018 Car Audio Championship. Among the achievements of Hybrid Audio Technologies and Zapco-equipped vehicles, was Ronda Welch, traveling from California, with a Championship in MECA’s Stock class, using Hybrid Audio Unity and Legatia speakers in the factory locations. Paul Adams of Team Zapco with a Championship in MECA’s Street class, using Zapco Z-AP amplifiers, and John Hale with a third-place in the same class, using a trio of Z-400.2s.

Kirk Proffitt earned the Championship in the Modified Street class, in addition to the ‘Gates Cup,’ for highest sound quality in the Stock, Street, and Modified Street divisions, using a pair of Z-150.6 AP amplifiers, with Marsha Beeler as Runner-Up, using Hybrid Audio Technologies Unity 6x9 midbass drivers, Legatia L2SE full-range drivers, and Unity U5A amplifiers. Bruce Miller and Michael Myers of Team Zapco earned the second and third placements in the modified class, with Scott Welch and Josh Kleckner in the top-three of the Modex class. Tim Smith, using Z-AP amplifiers, earned the Championship in MECA Extreme, in addition to the MECA ‘Culbertson Cup’ for the highest sound quality in any MECA division. Team Hybrids member Charles Haley won MECA’s highest honor, the Best of Best of Show, known by many as the “decathlon of car audio.” Tom Meyers won the Championship in SQ2 using only Unity U3 and U69-S speakers in the factory locations of his Dodge 2500, with a Zapco Z-150.6 AP for amplification.

In IASCA Novice, Hybrid Audio-equipped vehicles earned the second and third-placements, with Sean Forrest and Ben Bachman, and in the highly-contested Pro/Am class, Bramouse Muhammad, member of Team Hybrids and Team Zapco, earned the runner-up placement. The IASCA Pro division was led with all Zapco-equipped vehicles in the Top-three slots, with Team Hybrids members, Scott Welch, and Dave Clews earning the second and third-placements. In the Ultimate class, competition veteran and Team Hybrids member, Larry Chijner won third-place and was presented the ‘Alma Gates Lifetime Achievement Award’ from MECA.

Team Hybrids’ captain, Scott Welch traveled from California to support the team throughout the weekend, in addition to competing himself, as did Scott Buwalda, founder of Hybrid Audio Technologies.

Southampton, UK - B&G®, the world’s leading sailing navigation and instrument specialist, announced today the release of its V60 mid-level VHF radio. Designed as a replacement for theV50, the B&G V60 includes a large, intuitive interface, built-in AIS receiver, a front-mountable mechanical design for easy installation and optional wireless handsets with inductive charging. 

With its integrated GPS receiver, the V60 now has four ways to ensure GPS reliability in the event of an emergency. A GPS antenna in the face of the radio is perfect for open-air installations and the SMA connector can be coupled with a GPS-500 antenna. NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 connections allow the user to get GPS data from a chartplotter or from another antenna that’s already in the system. 

The B&G V60 also answers the call for increased situational awareness on the water. The built-in dual channel AIS receiver monitors the position of nearby AIS-equipped vessels to assist in collision avoidance in crowded waterways. The information is clearly viewable on the V60’s built-in screen or can be overlaid on top of a chart or radar through a compatible multifunction display. Share location details and keep track of up to five friends using Track Buddy, which requests the location of another VHF radio when the MMSI is entered into the VHF contact list. 

Provided with the B&G V60 is the option to pair up to two wireless handsets, so the radio can be taken anywhere onboard. The H60 handset was designed as an intuitive portable companion to the V60 and each handset duplicates the radio’s display and controls, enabling remote access to all key functions. The V60 doubles as a handy on-board intercom as a result of having multiple stations.

A number of other features have been added including Navigation mode, which displays speed and course, and Man Overboard (MOB) function, which drops a waypoint in the current location and provides distance and steering instructions to retrieve a person in the water. The waypoint is also transmitted over NMEA 2000 to the rest of the network. 

The B&G V60 is simple to install with a low-profile, front-mount design that matches perfectly with the design of B&G sailing chartplotters. A start-up wizard, easy channel scan and favorites option enhance the user-friendly functionality of the large, clear white dot-matrix LCD screen. Heise is unveiling a new Infinite Series, featuring RGB backlit lightbars and cube lights, to complement their existing RGB light kits. To fit more bumpers and hidden applications, three new 20-inch lightbar sizes will be added to Heise’s Dual Row, Blackout and Marine lightbar product lines.

Adding to their existing line of high-output cube style lights, new 140-degree cubes will be introduced, featuring a hybrid beam pattern for better light coverage and more LEDs for an even brighter output. For retrofitting older Jeeps, trucks and classic cars, Heise is debuting 4x6” and 5x7” LED replacement headlights with a partial halo in black or silver. Additionally, Heise will be launching new Jeep accessories and lights, which will be announced closer to the show date. Heise Infinite Series RGB Backlight Lightbars

Change your lightbar color with the swipe of a finger with the new Heise Infinite Series. Heise’s popular RGB lights with mobile app controllers are now available in RGB backlit lightbars from 8 to 50 inches and a cube style LED, as part of the new Infinite Series. These dual row lightbars and cubes offer pure white light with 16 million selectable colors as a backlight, controlled by a mobile app. The military breather port allows moisture to escape and the virtually unbreakable polycarbonate lens will withstand the toughest environments. The backlit RGB lights use the same controller as Heise’s popular RGB accent lights, allowing the Infinite Series to be synchronized and controlled using a single mobile app. The HE-CBRGB controller is sold separately and required for RGB functionality. A multi-mount system offers side and bottom options for lightbar placement. All of the products in the Infinite Series are rated IP67 with 316 stainless hardware and integrated epoxy encapsulated electronics.

20 Inch Dual Row Lightbars:

Heise dual row lightbars will be available in a new 20-inch size, which is a popular length for many aftermarket bumpers and hidden applications. The 20-inch lightbars will be available in Heise’s traditional dual-row style, blackout style, and white marine housing with (36) 3-watt LEDs that provide 8,640 lumens.

140-Degree High-Output Cube Lights:

Bright, wider-coverage 4-inch cubes are joining the Heise line of cube style LED lights. The HE-HCL140 has a hybrid 140-degree flood beam pattern with a 15-degree spot beam that provides the benefits of both an intense spotlight and wide flood beam in one light, with 30 watts providing 2,850 raw lumens. “With 6 LEDs on each side, these new cubes provide extra illumination and more light coverage than traditional style cubes,” says Osborne. A military breather port allows moisture to escape and the lights are rated IP67 with 316 stainless hardware and integrated epoxy encapsulated electronics. It is also available in a 2-pack as model number HE-HCL1402PK.

Heise is introducing new LED replacement headlights with a partial halo in 5x7” and 4x6” sizes, commonly used to retrofit older Jeeps, trucks and classic cars. The headlights will be available in black or silver with a 3,500 lumens high beam and 2,400 lumens low beam. The 5x7” lights will have (17) 5-watt LEDs for a total of 85 watts, and the 4x6” lights will have (18) 3-watt LEDs for a total of 60 watts. Both lights provide a 6500k color temperature with a polycarbonate lens and die-cast aluminum housing.
