November 8, 2019 -- SEMA 2019 was once again an amazing experience for all the DS18 team and everyone who attended this very exciting yearly event. Sasha Susterman (CEO) was attendance with our strong DS18 Team that consisted of some of our most experienced staff to help the large crowd with info about all our new tech. The large booth was a spectacle to behold with Rob Ferro’s Big Bad Wolf Jeep taking center stage filled with a plethora of all our newest and best-selling products. Large 4k TVs spanned throughout the booth showing videos, music, and DS18 gatherings to bring perspective to all the passers by that wanted to see why DS18’s motto is We Like It Loud!

Many vehicles throughout SEMA in various booths all had DS18 sound to show off and bring even more glamour to their build. Hery’s Intruder Jeep, which has more than 30 large speakers was a sight to see while the crowds gathered outside to hear what exactly this monster can do for a large audience. Diego’s Red Mustang was a sight to see and was one of the most photo friendly tuner cars on the lot with its aggressive stance, DS18 Red paint, and full custom DS18 sound system.

Motor Authority -- For the fourth year in a row, the Ford Motor Company Mustang has been voted the Hottest Car at SEMA, though this year’s result isn’t very surprising as another typical contender for the top spot, the Chevrolet Camaro, is in the process of being replaced by an all-new model and thus wasn’t as popular with the tuning scene as in previous years. We could certainly see the tables turned next year once the sixth-generation Camaro has a full year on the market.

Judges pick the Hottest Car at SEMA by counting the vehicles displayed in exhibitor booths and determining which is the most popular. To be eligible, the vehicles have to be available for the current model year, and both independent firms as well as the OEMs are allowed to participate. And there are multiple categories too, including for the Hottest 4x4-SUV, Hottest Truck and Hottest Sport Compact.

Two other Fords joined the Mustang as Hottest Cars at SEMA. They include the F-Series pickup truck in the Hottest Truck category and the Focus sedan and hatch in the Hottest Sport Compact category. The Hottest 4x4-SUV award went to the Jeep Wrangler.

Chasing LED Lightbars

Also at Metra's SEMA booth will be new Chasing LED lightbars in 8" (HE-CHASE-B8), 12" (HE-CHASE-B12), 22" (HE-CHASE-B22), or 32" (HE-CHASE-B32) lengths. These single-row lightbars are constructed of high-quality die-cast aluminum with a sealed membrane to prevent infiltration of debris and a durable polycarbonate lens. Each lightbar illuminates with a mixture of white LEDs and addressable Chasing LEDs to provide a spot beam pattern with a 120o angle. The new HE-CHASE-5M Chasing lighting strips are five meters long and feature a 3M double-sided backing. They are IP65-rated to be water-resistant. They feature addressable LEDs so that they can be individually controlled for personalized colors, chasing lighting patterns, and more via a mobile smartphone app when paired with the included Heise Connect controller.

Sequential Tailgate Lightbars

Heise LED will also debut new 48" (HE-STGB48) and 60" (HE-STGB60) Sequential LED Tailgate Lightbars. Front, Rear and Side View Cameras

iBeam’s massive product line expansion includes 24 new waterproof cameras for consumer applications, including backup cameras with options for active parking lines, LED night vision, or both. Additional options include surface mount, hole mount or behind the license plate cameras, with fixed angle or adjustable designs, wide viewing angles and defeatable parking assist lines. Backup cameras without night vision LEDs are also available in flush, plate or surface mount options.

Video Screens

New color LCD video displays are available in 3.5 inch, 4.3 inch, 5 inch and 7 inch models. The 7 inch screen (TE-7VS) has a dashboard mount base and includes a rear-view camera and secondary input. The 5 inch screen (TE-50VS) and 4.3 inch screen (TE-43VS) are dashboard or windshield mount displays for a rear-view camera and secondary input. The 3.5 screen (TE-35MV) has a single input for the rear-view camera, and it’s multi-view function allows the image to be rotated to match the dashboard or windshield mounting orientation.

Replacement Mirror Monitors with Integrated Color LCD Screen

 A variety of universal replacement mirror monitors offer solutions for any preference or budget, with an integrated color LCD screen. A replacement mirror monitor (TE-RM45) displays a 4.5 inch feed for up to two camera inputs and includes the most widely used windshield mounts. Optional, vehicle-specific mounts are available. This mirror monitor is also available with Bluetooth® 4.1 (TE-BTM45) to integrate for hands free calling, voice dialing and displaying the incoming phone number. This model also streams audio for navigation prompts. The replacement mirror monitor also includes an option for temperature and compass display (TE-CTM45), to show the vehicle’s direction and interior and outside temperatures integrated into the top right mirror monitor.

A cost effective clip-on mirror monitor solution (TE-CM43) clips over an existing mirror and displays a 4.3 inch feed of the rear-view camera when the vehicle is in reverse. It allows for easy, universal installation.

Universal 360-Degree Interior View Cameras

iBEAM will introduce two new camera systems that record everything going on while driving - both inside and out. The difference between the kits is that one displays video on a replacement rearview mirror monitor and the other has a built-in DVR and displays video on an LCD monitor that mounts to the dash or windshield.

The TE-360M45 replacement rearview mirror with a built-in 360-degree dash camera mounts onto the windshield to simultaneously record the driver's view of the front of the vehicle and the interior of the vehicle. The TE-DVR360 dash camera and touchscreen LCD monitor is mounted onto the windshield for a complete 360-degree view from the driver's perspective, including the interior of the vehicle. Both systems allow the user to pan left or right on the touchscreen for a wider field of view and also offer a split or quad-screen view. STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® Performance Audio has announced celebrities like Dave Kindig and the Street Outlaws, in addition to custom vehicles, will be appearing at the KICKER booth for the 2016 SEMA Show. KICKER will be located in the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall, booth no. 11861.

Dave Kindig, the star of Velocity Network’s Bitchin’ Rides, will be available in the KICKER booth for a meet-and-greet Tuesday, November 1 from 9 a.m.-10 a.m.  Kindig and his team from Kindig-It Design created a customized 1955 Ford Pickup, which will be showcased in the KICKER booth all week. This ground-up restoration is an unforgettable experience in iconic styling and features KICKER’s Q-Class premium sound.

The stars of Discovery Channel’s world-famous Street Outlaws will be at the KICKER booth for two days during the show. These renowned drivers and fabricators will meet their fans, take pictures and sign autographs. On Wednesday from 1 p.m.-3 p.m., fans can meet Chuck “Death Trap” Seitsinger, “Daddy Dave” Comstock, Jerry “Monza” Johnston and Joe “Dominator” Woods. 

Thursday from 1 p.m.-3 p.m., more Street Outlaws return for another signing with Justin “Big Chief” Shearer, Shawn “Murder Nova” Ellington, Chris “Kamikaze” Day and Jeff Lutz meeting fans and taking pictures.
