Holly Hill, Fla. – October 16, 2019 – Metra Electronics® will debut a new set of universal 7-inch replacement headlights with an RGB backlit LED to give owners more styles and custom color choices for their vehicle in addition to an RGB LED headlight and fog light kit. These universal lights will fit most of the newer Jeep Wrangler® models (including the 2018-up* JL with use of adapter) and other vehicle applications with a 7-inch round headlight and 4-inch round fog light. Additional accessories including fog light adapter harnesses and connectors will also be available. An 8 gang switch panel designed for outdoor vehicles from Heise® will also be introduced to integrate lighting control for aftermarket add-ons. These products will join Metra’s large display of off-road, truck, Jeep® and powersports products at the 2019 SEMA Show in booth 37017 in the South Hall Upper Level and also be at their main booth 11639 in the North Hall.
RGB Backlit LED Headlight (JP-704RGB)
The new JP-704RGB replacement headlight set features backlit (15) 5-watt RGB LEDs in each light and produces 4,000 lumens for the high beam and 2,200 lumens for the low beam. The virtually unbreakable polycarbonate lens cover makes this the ideal off-road solution for trail riding Jeep owners. The HE-CBRGB controller is sold separately and required for operation of the RGB lights, which allows the user to change colors, sync to music and more from the Heise RGB app, available for Android® and iOS® devices. The control box is sealed so that it can be mounted in an engine compartment without fear of failure and features a simple two wire connection. This headlight set also works with Heise’s existing RGB accent lights, plus Infinite Series lightbars and cube style lights with RGB backlit LEDs, allowing an entire system to be synced using the HE-CBRGB controller.
RGB LED Headlight and Fog Light Kit (JP-706RGBKT)
A different style of 7-inch headlights with addressable RGB LEDs will be introduced in the JP-706RGBKT kit, which features (9) 5-watt LEDs in each headlight. The headlights produce 3,600 lumens of illumination for the high beam and 2,400 lumens for the low beam. This kit also includes a set of matching 4-inch fog lights with RGB LED lights and the RGB controller. The fog lights have (6) 5-watt LEDs each that produce 1,400 lumens of illumination. Drivers will be able to change the color of their lights with the swipe of a finger with 120 different color changing patterns that can sync to music and are controlled via the Car Light mobile app, available for Android® and iOS® devices. Both of the new RGB replacement headlights are rated IP67 and use the standard H4 connectors.
Adapter Harness for Fog Lights
The new JP-JWFLAH is a simple plug-n-play 9145 to PSX24W connector adapter harness for Jeep Wrangler 2010 and up* JK and JL models that comes in a 2-pack. This harness is designed for use with specific Heise (HE-JWBFL01, HE-JWSFL01, or HE-JWBFL02) or Metra Jeep Accessories (JP-706RGBKT) fog lights only.
H4 Connector to H13 Connector
The new JP-H4H13DE is designed for 7-inch headlights in 2007-up* Jeep Wrangler JK models. This set comes with 2 adapters and 2 CANBUS decoders to eliminate the bulb out warning light and flickering of headlights when replacing factory lights with aftermarket lights.
Heise® 8 Gang Switch Panel
Integrate lighting control into any Jeep model with Heise’s universal control panel that can fit into the dash panel, center console, vehicle pillar or even the overhead sunglass holder. This gang switch panel system controls up to 8 different auxiliary LED lights or electrical devices and has 50 different switch stickers included for customization. Blue LED backlighting illuminates the switches and it can handle all types of 12V DC accessories. The panel is ideal for applications such as cars, trucks, Jeeps®, ATVs/UTVs, RVs and even boat installations. The compact control panel measures 2.6 by 4.6 inches while the under-hood mounted control box has a 4.2 by 7.5 inch footprint.
