MEA Announces the Next KnowledgeFest Location in the Motor City, Detroit Michigan on August 21 – 23, 2026

This New location significantly increases reach, reduces travel barriers, and creates favorable conditions for strong retail participation from the Midwest and Canada

DETROIT, MI (June 1, 2026) The Mobile Electronics Association (MEA) announced today that the next KnowledgeFest® will take place on August 21–23, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan. This marks a strategic relocation from Dallas which is designed to expand access for mobile electronics retailers and industry professionals across the Midwest and Canada.

Detroit offers a powerful strategic advantage for the event. With over 10 million more people living within a 300‑mile radius than the Dallas location, this positions KnowledgeFest® to reach a significantly larger audience of automotive aftermarket professionals. Its proximity to the Canadian border also opens the door to expanded international participation.

Built for Retailers. Designed for Results.KnowledgeFest® Detroit will deliver a focused, high-impact experience centered on education and business growth. Attendees will have access to comprehensive training across sales, business operations, and installation disciplines, along with manufacturer-led sessions from leading exhibitors including Sony, Voxx, Firstech, Cerwin Vega/Diamond Audio, and Nemesis Audio — designed to improve real-world performance and profitability.

“The Motor City Detroit is the perfect venue for KnowledgeFest®, the location has more of our retailers within 300 miles than anywhere else and is on the border to Canada” stated Tony Frangiosa, Chairman of MEA. “This could be our most exciting event ever”. Click to view his video message.

Registration will open immediately following KnowledgeFest® Atlantic City (June 5–6, 2026). Attendees will have access to discounted accommodation at The Pontchartrain Hotel, located directly across from the convention center, helping reduce travel friction and improve the overall event experience.

The event begins on Friday with education workshops and manufacturer training sessions, leading to the opening of the 90,000 square-foot exhibit floor for the Beer & Biz networking experience, connecting retailers directly with key manufacturers and suppliers. Saturday continues with a full schedule of education, training, and exhibit floor activity, followed by the third annual Mobile Electronics Industry Hall of Fame induction ceremony, honoring the Class of 2026, celebrating the individuals who have made a lasting impact on the industry.

MEA will also introduce targeted initiatives to support participation from key markets, including waived registration fees and hosted meal programs for Canadian retailers. MEA retailer members will continue to receive these benefits along with special pricing or rebates on all show orders, reinforcing the association's commitment to delivering membership value.
