Winners from first phase of Industry Awards are semifinalists for top honors
NORTH ANDOVER, MASS., October 11, 2023 — The Mobile Electronics Association (MEA) announced the winners from the first phase of the 2024 Mobile Electronics Industry Awards. The announcement comes after industry nominees submitted videos describing their business or professions. Judges appointed by the association reviewed the videos and selected the winners, comprising the Top 50 Installers, Top 50 Retailers and Top 20 Sales Professionals. The complete list of winners is posted at the official Industry Awards website, meindustryawards.com.
Winners at this stage also qualify as semi-finalists the top honors of Retailer of the Year, Installer of the Year and Sales Pro of the year. Top 50 Installers award recipients are also entered to run for 2024 Trusted Tech, an award given to professional installers who excel more from an electronics standpoint than a design standpoint.
The next phase of the competition features voting by industry professionals and consumers to narrow the semifinalists list down to finalists. These categories are joined by other categories of which industry professionals vote to select top suppliers, reps and rep firms, distributors, and expeditors, as well as the new vendor support tech award. Voting will begin Wednesday, October 12, 2023 and run until Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at midnight.
“Even though the ultimate competition is ongoing, we want to take this opportunity to congratulate our Top 50 and Top 20 winners,” said Chris Cook, president of MEA. “These are major accomplishments in themselves and represent the hard work and growth of stores and individuals over the past year. It’s great to see that our industry members continue to strive to be the best and set examples for their peers.”

Mobile Electronics Association Announces Move of KnowledgeFest™ Trade Show to Atlantic City in 2024
The decision to move KnowledgeFest to Atlantic City was driven by the significant market potential and demand in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast, which boasts three times as many mobile electronics dealers compared to Orlando. By relocating to Atlantic City, MEA aims to capitalize on this thriving market, expand its reach, and provide even greater value to industry professionals.
MEA recognizes the importance of encouraging Florida area dealers to attend KnowledgeFest Atlantic City. To facilitate their participation, special incentives will be offered, ensuring that the event remains accessible and beneficial for all. The low-cost direct flights from Miami, Orlando, and Ft Lauderdale to Atlantic City make traveling to the event both convenient and affordable.
DAS Distributors, renowned for their highly attended distributor show in Atlantic City over several years, has made the strategic decision to concentrate their efforts on supporting KnowledgeFest. This exciting collaboration underscores the growing significance of the event and promises unparalleled opportunities for industry players. In addition to DAS Distributors, prominent distributors such as Davis Distribution and GoFast Solutions will also be supporting and exhibiting, further enhancing the diverse range of products and services available at KnowledgeFest.
Chris Cook, President of MEA, shared his vision for the future of KnowledgeFest: "With events planned in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Indianapolis, and Dallas in 2024, MEA aims to attract the majority of mobile electronics retailers nationwide. By providing a comprehensive education and sales approach for our manufacturer's members, we are confident in delivering unrivaled value to our attendees."
KnowledgeFest Atlantic City 2024 promises to be an extraordinary gathering of industry professionals, showcasing cutting-edge products, innovative technologies, and the latest trends in the mobile electronics industry. Attendees can look forward to engaging seminars, insightful workshops, interactive demonstrations, and unparalleled networking opportunities.
MEA invites mobile electronics retailers, distributors, manufacturers, and industry enthusiasts to mark their calendars for KnowledgeFest Atlantic City 2024, to be held at Harrah's Hotel and Casino in June. The UK’s Coolest Automobile Manufacturer Chooses Audiofrog Loudspeakers
Pasadena, CA., August 25, 2021 – Audiofrog, producer of high-end speakers for cars, commercial applications and live music venues, will now provide speakers for the UK’s Morgan Motor Company through its exclusive UK partner, Skipton Car Radio. The system features a full complement of GS Series speakers and a GS8ND2 subwoofer.
“This is dreamy,” said Andy Wehmeyer, Audiforog’s president. “When I was a kid in Texas, a family friend had 1962 4/4 in his garage that he brought home after an overseas military assignment, and I thought it was the coolest car I had ever seen. Since then, I’ve been fascinated by Morgan’s attention to modernity while maintaining the original craftsmanship and the look and feel of a classic British roadster. Peter at Skipton Car Radio has done a fabulous job of fitting GS speakers into Morgan’s unique interior. What a cool opportunity for us at Audiofrog.”
“We are incredibly proud to announce that Morgan Motor Company are now offering a complete Audiofrog audio upgrade on all new vehicles as a factory option,” remarked Peter Preston of Skipton Car Radio. “We researched the vehicles in detail and Audiofrog was the only choice due to their innovative fitting kits that were perfect for these challenging vehicles. Of course, they sound great, too. We believe this will really help Audiofrog introduce the brand to new customers.”
The optional system upgrade includes Audiofrog’s GS10, GS25, GS60 and GS8ND2 subwoofer.
Famous the world over for its unique blend of craft, heritage and pure driving experience, the Morgan Motor Company has been manufacturing quintessentially British vehicles in Malvern, UK, for more than 110 years.
