5-22-2017, STILLWATER, USA – In what is becoming tradition, KICKER® World Headquarters played host to nearly 50 classic cars this week, just one stop among many along the 2017 Goodguys® Music City Road Tour.

Beginning in Phoenix, the week-long tour covered more than 2,000 miles, finishing in Nashville, Tenn., just in time for the Goodguys 12th Nashville Nationals May 19-21. The tour made stops at several prestigious car collections, hot rod shops and manufacturers along the route to the music capital. The Goodguys Rod and Custom Association promotes and produces the world's most dynamic hot rod, classic car and trick truck events.

As part of the event, hosts John Myers (KICKER product training) and Randy Botts (KICKER lead installer) led guided tours through KICKER's Stillwater facility. Snacks and beverages were also provided.

"It was great to see so many classic cars and car lovers taking the time to learn about what we do," said Myers. "We took them through the (Research and Development) department, our custom install shop, through the warehouse and all around our museum. There was a lot of interest, especially in the labs and quality control. Many of the visitors said they had no idea how much work and care went into making KICKER gear."

Among the Goodguys caravan was KICKER-sponsored rally-racers Team Mustang Girls, making one of their numerous cross-country treks in 2017. Driver Courtney Barber, co-pilot Amie Williams, and their 1965 Mustang have been regulars on the annual Goodguys Road Tours in recent years.

STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® played host to more than 20 dealers and rep firms here last week during a two-day training and tour of KICKER World Headquarters, which included hands-on experience with KICKER product and discussions with company executives from Sales, Marketing, Product Planning, and Research and Development. The tour began with the background story about the brand’s inception, shared by KICKER founder and CEO Steve Irby.

“It’s always enjoyable to welcome our dealer guests onto our campus,” said Tom Heath, KICKER Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We hope our visitors learn a little bit about what makes KICKER different, and we tend to get a lot of positive feedback after they’ve spent time with us for a few days.”

“It's easy to look at KICKER from afar and think it's another huge corporate entity,” said Bob Hernandez of distributor GoFast Solutions . “The truth is that's not accurate at all. Hearing Steve address the group is heartwarming. I've heard him do it several times and I'm touched every time. The peek behind the curtain at all the different departments – it gives great insight.”

The class received hands-on training with the SoloX® Subwoofer reconing process, led by KICKER Tech Force training manager Aaron Malin. Malin also led the group on an extensive tour of the facility, including a chance to audition speakers in the company’s listening lab.

In other activities, the group experienced a demo of the outrageous KICKER Ford® Bronco, equipped with nine, 12-inch SoloX subwoofers and 36,000 watts worth of KICKER Warhorse® amplification (anticipated release in late 2023). The Bronco will make another appearance this year at KnowledgeFest in Dallas, and again at the SEMA Show in November.

Marking a KICKER dealer-visit first, personnel from authorized dealer Brian’s Motorsports (Hendersonville, Tenn.) brought “Big Debra,” a converted bread truck, from their home base outside of Nashville, as well as their in-house videographer to document the experience. The modified ride features a pair of enormous KICKER Quad Boxes loaded with Solo-Baric® L7R Square Subwoofers, KS-Series Coaxials, and five CXA-Series Amplifiers. The three-minute recap can be seen on the Brian’s Motorsports YouTube® channel.

STILLWATER, USA – The perfect marriage of power and performance, KICKER® announces its first-ever PTRTP Powered Down-Firing Loaded Enclosures, available in a 10- and 12-inch model and now shipping. All enclosures come with a built-in, power-matched amplifier and convenient remote volume control. The enclosures are available for purchase at Authorized KICKER Dealers in-store and online. Soon to be introduced to the world on the KICKER UnMASKED! Live™ show, PTRTP Powered Down-Firing Loaded Enclosures will retail at $449.99 and $499.99. PTRTP Enclosures are also available at www.kicker.com.

Loaded into each enclosure is an active, KICKER CompRT® shallow-mount subwoofer, equipped with Forced Air Cooling™ to enhance the woofer’s efficiency and durability. A bumped top plate allows for full voice-coil clearance and excursion in a shallow-mount woofer, while the large-diameter, progressive-roll spider ensures increased linearity, better overall sound quality and outstanding bass reproduction.

Next to the active woofer is a reFLEX™ passive radiator, providing a significant bass upgrade without increasing overall depth of the already thin enclosure. The down-firing design allows the enclosure to fit in tight spaces, yet still deliver peak performance. Standing only about six inches high, the PTRTP is built to fit anywhere – from behind the seat of a pickup to the back of a hatchback. The rugged enclosure design has the added benefit of allowing items to be stacked on top of it, if mounted in a trunk or cargo area. The enclosures are carpeted and custom embroidered with the KICKER logo.

Featuring up to 500 watts of power and a best-in-class input sensitivity, PTRTP built-in amplifiers accept input voltages ranging from as little as 125 millivolts to as much as 40 volts, ensuring its compatibility with virtually any factory or aftermarket radio or source without the additional expense of a line-out converter.

STILLWATER, USA – In its first product release for 2022, KICKER® Audio announces a trio of down-firing loaded enclosures, each featuring KICKER’s thin-mount L7T™ square subwoofers. All enclosures come with a single 2-Ohm terminal, and are available in 8-, 10-, and 12-inch models. The enclosures are available for purchase at Authorized KICKER Dealers in-store and online. Soon to be introduced to the world on the KICKER UnMASKED! Live™ Weekly show, L7T Loaded Down-Firing Enclosures will retail from $279.99-$379.99. L7T Loaded Down-Firing Enclosures are also available at www.kicker.com.

Designed to fit perfectly under a seat or in your cargo area, each thin enclosure features plush black carpeting with rounded corners and custom embroidery. Inside the enclosure, thick MDF construction and heavy internal bracing offers strength and stability despite the stacked cargo that may be on top. The enclosures are carpeted and custom embroidered with the KICKER logo.

The inner workings of the L7T thin-mount subwoofer are unprecedented. L7T features an innovative “Forced-Air Cooling™” system that uses the woofer’s own cone movement to route more air through its motor, forcing unwanted heat out of vents built into the backplate and allowing the sub to run cooler than previous versions. Users get the bass they love, the sleek look, and the reliability beyond expectations.

KICKER’s exclusive UniPlate™ combines the pole piece and back-plate, making them a single, seamless unit that assists in pushing damaging heat away from the subwoofer. Perimeter venting is also used above the sub’s extended top-plate, pulling additional cooling air in and around the motor. The subwoofer’s top-plate utilizes a patented “bumped” design, allowing extra excursion and longer throw for deeper overall bass in an extremely thin design. Additionally, the unique, patented square cone provides nearly 20 percent additional cone area compared to a standard round-shaped sub of the same size, making a 12-inch square sub perform like a 13-inch round subwoofer, for example. As a result, the listener enjoys more volume and deeper bass.

A native of Kenai, Alaska, Smith has been fascinated by trucks and audio for much of his life, and has been actively working on audio systems for nearly 30 years. Consumers can find Smith’s handiwork on many KICKER staple demo cars and award winners, including the 1950 Studebaker Champion and the 2011 Chevy Cruze.

STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® is proud to recognize two of the company’s International Distributors-of-the-Year for outstanding performance in 2019 – Grupo Monsiry (Mexico) and OG, Inc. (Japan).

Having earned a reputation as one of KICKER’s hardest-working distributor partners, Grupo Monsiry surpassed every goal KICKER management requested while serving Mexico, Central America and Colombia.

“They have shown a real tenacity in the marketplace,” said Chet Weddle, KICKER Director of International Sales. “No matter what goal we threw at them, they would hurdle it. When they attend shows, they do it in force. Just this past CES, they brought 15 members of their sales staff to the show.”

OG, Inc., led by principal Hideki Ogino, was chosen for the other International award in recognition of the extraordinary effort put forth in the distributor’s home country of Japan.

OG has been honored several times with this award. Its consistent excellence in marketing the KICKER brand has proven to be a benchmark. In determining who is honored, KICKER looks at how the brand is represented in each territory, in addition to financial considerations.

“They do up to 50 shows a year around the country,” explained Weddle. At every event, OG will bring many of their customers from Japan to experience the KICKER lifestyle. The effort they put forth earned them the recognition.”
