10-19-2016, STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® Performance Audio has finalized a strategic alliance with SSV Works®, which will now offer KICKER speakers and amplifiers as a premium option with its custom powersports audio enclosures. SSV Works is a premier speaker-enclosure manufacturer in the powersports industry.
KICKER’s motivation for collaborating with SSV Works is to create new solutions for the ever-expanding powersports market.
“Powersports customers want a complete solution,” said KICKER Powersports Manager Bryan Grace. “The number-one company for UTV aftermarket audio enclosures is SSV Works. They were the first to do it, and they are the best at it. It was a perfect fit.”
SSV Works was the first company to create specifically built, powersports audio gear. With an extensive background in car audio and OEM integration experience, SSV Works identified that there was a need for off-road audio done correctly. This precipitated the creation of custom audio enclosures for Yamaha® UTVs - the first side-by-sides to enter the market. They now offer over 120 application-specific products for nearly every UTV available.
Trevor Kaplan, CEO of SSV Works, says he chose to align with KICKER for the quality of its powersports-specific approach to audio.
“Our partnership with KICKER gives us the ability to use product that is purpose-built and would bring the recognition and quality that our competitors cannot offer,” Kaplan said. “We find customers have KICKER in their trucks, cars and boats, and they want matching speakers in their side-by-sides.”
The relationship has already created ripples within the industry. Arctic Cat® currently offers a KICKER/SSV Works audio system as a factory option in its Wildcat™ X3 models. Powersports retail giants 4 Wheel Parts and Bert’s Mega Mall will also carry the KICKER-equipped SSV Works enclosure line.
Two SSV Works UTVs will be present in the KICKER booth during the 2016 SEMA Show, each featuring a wild KICKER/SSV Works audio system. A Can-Am® Maverick® and Arctic Cat Wildcat X3 will both be in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth 11861.
Grace is optimistic about the future of powersports audio, and what KICKER/SSV Works’ new alliance will mean to the industry.
“It’s not often two of the largest companies in their respective categories come together,” he says. “With our technology and infrastructure, combined with SSV Works’ high-quality enclosures, the possibilities are endless.”
