10-19-2016, STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® Performance Audio has finalized a strategic alliance with SSV Works®, which will now offer KICKER speakers and amplifiers as a premium option with its custom powersports audio enclosures. SSV Works is a premier speaker-enclosure manufacturer in the powersports industry.

KICKER’s motivation for collaborating with SSV Works is to create new solutions for the ever-expanding powersports market.

“Powersports customers want a complete solution,” said KICKER Powersports Manager Bryan Grace. “The number-one company for UTV aftermarket audio enclosures is SSV Works. They were the first to do it, and they are the best at it. It was a perfect fit.”

SSV Works was the first company to create specifically built, powersports audio gear. With an extensive background in car audio and OEM integration experience, SSV Works identified that there was a need for off-road audio done correctly. This precipitated the creation of custom audio enclosures for Yamaha® UTVs - the first side-by-sides to enter the market. They now offer over 120 application-specific products for nearly every UTV available.

Trevor Kaplan, CEO of SSV Works, says he chose to align with KICKER for the quality of its powersports-specific approach to audio.

“Our partnership with KICKER gives us the ability to use product that is purpose-built and would bring the recognition and quality that our competitors cannot offer,” Kaplan said. “We find customers have KICKER in their trucks, cars and boats, and they want matching speakers in their side-by-sides.”

The relationship has already created ripples within the industry. Arctic Cat® currently offers a KICKER/SSV Works audio system as a factory option in its Wildcat™ X3 models. Powersports retail giants 4 Wheel Parts and Bert’s Mega Mall will also carry the KICKER-equipped SSV Works enclosure line. 

Two SSV Works UTVs will be present in the KICKER booth during the 2016 SEMA Show, each featuring a wild KICKER/SSV Works audio system. A Can-Am® Maverick® and Arctic Cat Wildcat X3 will both be in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth 11861.

Grace is optimistic about the future of powersports audio, and what KICKER/SSV Works’ new alliance will mean to the industry.

7-1-2017, STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® Performance Audio and SSV Works® (Oxnard, Calif.) have collaborated to create, and now announce, a pair of complete audio packages, custom-made for the Polaris® RZR® S 900, 1000 and XP Turbo. The packages, labeled as “Phase 5” and “Phase 3” solutions with model numbers PRZ35 (MSRP $2,299.95) and PRZ33 (MSRP $1,899.95), are now available for purchase. 

Compatible with both two- and four-seat models, the kits include a receiver, a pair of compact amplifiers, coaxial speakers, a subwoofer and vehicle-specific enclosures, all components weather-proof for outdoor use. A custom, under-dash radio processor/amplifier bracket is also included, as is all mounting hardware and pre-terminated wiring harnesses with quick-connects.

KICKER’s motivation for collaborating with SSV Works was to create audio solutions for the ever-expanding Powersports market. The KICKER PRZ33 three-speaker and KICKER PRZ35 five-speaker systems are the initial joint effort into combining the two brands’ product lines into a single, complete package.

The custom, SSV Works under-dash bracket holds two pre-tuned KICKER Powersports amplifiers:  a compact, PX-Series 500-watt subwoofer amp and a 4-channel amp (75wX4) for the midrange drivers. Each system is controlled by an SSV Works MRB3 AM/FM/Bluetooth® receiver, with custom bracket and charging USB/AUX inputs. The kits also include an AM/FM antenna and all mounting hardware.

The SSV Works glove-box subwoofer enclosure (patent pending) completely replaces the factory RZR glove box and is loaded with a KICKER CompRT® 10-inch, thin-mount subwoofer. SSV Works marine-grade fiberglass enclosures are formed to fit the contours of the RZR.

The foot-well enclosures are mounted high on the kick panel to allow for maximum foot room, while the cage-mounted, rear speaker pods (PRZ35 only) mount behind the seats. Both enclosures house the included KICKER 6.5-inch, KM-Series coaxial speakers, featuring UV-treated polypropylene cones and titanium tweeters, locking terminal covers and an integrated moisture draining system to ensure excellent sound quality and long life.

STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® and SSV Works™ earned the 2018 SEMA Global Media Award for their true plug-and-play, PRZ35 5-speaker audio kit for Polaris® RZR®, as determined by international judges at the 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas November 2.

The SEMA Global Media Awards Program recognizes those companies that manufacture specialty equipment products and accessories that would have mass appeal to consumers in countries outside the United States. The products are voted on by a prestigious group of international journalists who serve as judges.
