Miramar, FL—April 30, 2018—JL Audio, an innovator in high-end audio solutions, has announced the availability of new Stealthbox®subwoofer systems for theToyota Tacoma Double Cab, Tacoma Access Cab,and theFord F150 SuperCab.These vehicle-specific subwoofer solutions are designed to precisely fit into tight spaces within the vehicle while remaining virtually hidden from view while delivering strong, deep bass output.
The Stealthbox® for F-150 SuperCab and SuperDuty SuperCab trucks is designed to install neatly under the rear seat with no intrusion on cab space or affecting the ability to fold and recline the seat. A 10-inch TW3 thin-line subwoofer is housed in the all-fiberglass, sealed enclosure design. Additionally, a recess is incorporated on the top for mounting an amplifier, if desired.
Toyota’s Tacoma Double Cab has a highly optimized interior design with almost zero wasted space. This makes integrating a serious subwoofer a pretty major challenge. Utilizing the small box prowess and shallow mounting depth of the 10-inch TW3 thin-line subwoofer, a Stealthbox® subwoofer solution is sculpted toinstall behind the passenger side rear seat in the storage pocket. The results are stunning!
The Access Cab version of Toyota's midsize truck has minimal backseat space for passengers and almost no room for a bulky subwoofer enclosure. JL Audio’s Stealthbox® design team developed a clever solution that mounts between the jump seats, creating a nice arm rest with dual storage trays for rear passengers. Equipped with a 10-inch TW3 thin-line subwoofer, this down-firing Stealthbox® features an all-fiberglass, sealed enclosure design and delivers stunning deep-bass output. Rear seat folding remains unaffected.
For two decades, JL Audio’s acclaimed Stealthbox®vehicle-specific enclosures have set a high standard for sound quality, as well as vehicle-specific fit and installation integrity. Using laser-scanning technology, JL Audio’s development team, precisely measures the nooks and tight spaces available within a vehicle. Solid modeling software is then used to design subwoofer solutions with precise fit and maximum enclosure volume, for strong, deep bass output.

JL Audio has introduced FIX™ 82, an OEM Integration digital signal processor (DSP) that makes it possible to upgrade the factory supplied audio system with better aftermarket amplifiers and speaker systems, while preserving factory vehicle functionality and dashboard cosmetics.
Equipped with a powerful DSP processor, the FIX™ 82 combines an active line output converter, time delay synchronization, a signal-summing interface and EQ correction, all in one compact chassis. Setup is completely automatic with a calibration track and one simple press of a button.
• Connect up to eight channels of OEM analog audio signals, from low-voltage, line-level to high power, amplified speaker-level outputs (up to 30V RMS).
• Any time-delayed factory audio signals are automatically synchronized before summing, ensuring a correct, time and phase-coherent summed result.
• 2-way, 3-way or 4-way factory outputs can be summed into two full-range stereo signals, with automatic level matching.
• In the final step, dual 1/3 octave equalizers automatically correct the frequency response of the summed factory signals.
• A powerful DSP engine executes the one-button calibration process in approximately 30 seconds. No special equipment is needed. A calibration CD is included with the product.
• Analog and Digital Outputs – Two 4-volt line-level RCA jacks plus a digital optical (Toslink) output, supporting PCM audio (S/PDIF) 24bit / 48 kHz.
• Signal-sensing, DC-Offset Sensing or switched turn-on options with a dedicated turn-on output for equipment.
• JLID Port delivers added functionality and convenience from the driver’s seat. An optional Digital Remote Controller adds functions for Master Volume Control, Handsfree Phone Optimization, and LED Status Reporting.
Manville Smith, V.P. of Marketing for JL Audio says, “FiX 82 is unique in that it’s capable of addressing the most complex audio signal interfacing challenges, while also being incredibly simple to use. FiX 82’s ability to correct delays in factory signals is a real game-changer with today’s complex OEM systems. This feature alone can represent the difference between bad audio and great audio. We think that installers will really appreciate having such a versatile and precise interface.”

Miramar, FL—April 30, 2018—JL Audio, an innovator in high-end audio solutions, has announced new Stealthbox® speaker and subwoofer systems for the popular Polaris General and Polaris RZR off-road vehicles. These vehicle-specific audio solutions are proudly built at JL Audio’s headquarters and manufacturing facility in Florida.
Built to take command of any off-road or backcountry trail, the Polaris General and the RZR models are designed to take on any challenge. However, the factory supplied audio options are not quite up to the standards of many who want a system that can deliver outstanding quality in a challenging open-air cockpit.
To remedy the lack-luster factory sound packages, JL Audio has developed purpose-built speaker pods that will mount securely in each kick-panel, off the floor and out of the way. The Stealthbox® speaker systems for the Polaris General and Polaris RZR feature a 100 perfect fiberglass, sealed enclosure that houses a high-performance, JL Audio MX-Series 6.5-inch marine grade coaxial speaker with blue LED illumination–that just looks cool. The end result is a full-range system that delivers powerful, crystal-clear sound that will rock your world during outdoor adventures.
No system is complete without a sonically-matched subwoofer to deliver powerful, deep, bass output, while remaining completely out-of-sight. The Stealthbox® subwoofer system for the Polaris General includes one 10-inch, JL Audio TW3 thin-line subwoofer driver, contained in a all-fiberglass, weatherproof enclosure with a texture-coated finish, that mounts securely behind the dashboard. For an added bonus, an additional mounting bracket is included to secure a JL Audio MX Amplifier. Similar subwoofer systems have been previously introduced for the Polaris RZR.
For two decades, JL Audio’s acclaimed Stealthbox® vehicle-specific enclosures have set a high standard for sound quality, as well as vehicle-specific fit and installation integrity. Using laser-scanning technology, the development team precisely measures the tight spaces available in the vehicle. Solid modeling software is then used to design speaker and subwoofer solutions with precise fit and maximum enclosure volume, for optimum performance and output.

JL Audio has unveiled the RD Series car audio amplifier line at its suite at The Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas. Four models are being announced for 2016, including two monoblock subwoofer amplifiers, a four-channel full-range amplifier and a five-channel system amplifier. All models are scheduled for delivery in the 2nd quarter of 2016.
JL Audio Executive VP, Jeff Scoon said: “The RD project is all about increasing the value of our affordable car audio amplifiers. These new amps deliver innovative thinking in terms of circuit design, features, industrial design and mechanical design, and we couldn’t be more pleased with them.”
Circuit design for the RD project was led by JL Audio’s Senior Amplifier Engineer, Bruce Macmillan, and is based on JL Audio’s highly successful NexD™ Class D technology, which delivers outstanding sound quality, efficiency and reliability.
RD amplifiers also offer a very sophisticated input section, featuring JL Audio’s dual-range differential-balanced technology, for superior noise rejection and excellent compatibility with a wide range of input signal voltages. Automatic turn-on is also built-in, selectable between Signal Sensing and DC Offset Sensing modes. Convenient bridging switches are also provided for each stereo channel bank, eliminating the need for y-adaptors when bridging these channels.
Also on board, for the first time on a JL Audio amplifier, are LED clipping indicators. With the use of a CD or an audio file with a full-scale sine wave, installers can use these LED indicators to quickly establish the correct input sensitivity setting, without the need for additional test equipment.
All amplifier controls are accessible beneath a removable control cover, resulting in a clean look and security from unauthorized adjustment of the controls. Connections for speaker and power wires are via captured-wire connectors, with all screws protected by the control cover.
