Tuesday, August 22, 2023 - Oklahoma City, OK - DD AUDIO®, a manufacturer of high-quality mobile audio products is proud to introduce their newest and smallest addition to the SL600 Series: the Slim Line 8 inch, SL608 subwoofer. With their super shallow mounting depth and performance tuned suspensions, the SL600s squeeze a lot of bass out of a tight little space and this 8 inch subwoofer doesn’t compromise on quality or performance, as it features the same state of the art design that made its larger companions, the SL610 and SL612, a massive success with installers facing limited space applications. All the SL600s feature EROM surround, double layer spider system, backplate venting and a high temperature resistant voice coil, but the addition of the SL608 takes the versatility of the line to new heights, by further reducing the depth.

DD AUDIO’s SL600 Series has been precision engineered to provide premium, big subwoofer sound, to applications lacking the space needed for big subwoofers. Included in the SL608 cutting edge design is a triple layer composite sandwich cone coupled to a Santoprene rubber surround, to give low distortion output. The 8 inch DD frame houses a 134mm outer diameter / 25 mm thick magnet motor, surrounding a 2 inch voice coil with a 12mm Xmax. When combined with a deep bump backplate, this little monster pushes an impressive 38mm of excursion at 100 to 300 Watts RMS (600 Watts Peak).

All this with a mounting depth of just 3.5 inches, ensuring installers can get seriously creative when tucking away these slim, heavy hitters.
