Holly Hill, Fla. – November 4, 2021 – Metra Electronics® has launched new lighting and aftermarket accessories designed to fit 2020-up* Jeep® Gladiator JT and 2018-up* Jeep® Wrangler JL models at the 2021 SEMA Show. The Jeep® Accessories product line by Metra has expanded to offer a complete plug-n-play RGB lighting kit, a replacement grille, hood trim light, and power connection accessories. “Everything in our new line has been designed for a fast and easy plug-and-play installation into the latest Jeep models,” says Jason Anderson, VP of Product Research and Development at Metra Electronics. “Jeep owners are always looking for ways to make their vehicle unique, while still being able to take it off-road and get dirty. Complete Plug-N-Play RGB Lighting Kit

One kit has everything needed to light the wheel well, add a rear, front, and side underglow, light the front and rear footwells, and add a backlit grille with RGB LED lights controlled by a smartphone app. The new JP-RGBKT-1 kit is easy to install with plug-n-play connections, less wiring, and one controller for the smartphone app to sync everything together. It also has expandable options compatible with Metra’s Heise® Infinite Series RGB lightbars and cube-style lights to use the same controller and app. This kit is designed with plug-n-play connections for Jeep® Gladiator JT and Wrangler JL models* with mounting hardware and extension cables included. It is rated IP67 and has dual interior and exterior connections to the controller for maximum current and even illumination. Using the smartphone app, users can choose from 16 million different color options using the Metra RGB smartphone app with pre-built lighting transitions, flash patterns, and more.

Talon Attack™ Replacement Grille

Metra’s new OEM-style replacement grille, the JP-GRILLE1, adds an aggressive look to the front of a Jeep®. This single-piece grille is easy to install, can be painted to match the vehicle’s color, and is constructed from UV-resistant ABS plastic for extra durability.

It can be painted to match the vehicle for a seamless look and is constructed from UV-resistant ABS plastic for extra durability.

DRL Adapter Harness for Lighting Accessories

Metra’s JP-LAH1 harness is used to safely add aftermarket lighting without overloading the factory circuits. It is designed to tap into the DRL and running light circuits and has 2 quick disconnect accessory plugs with 15-amp fuses. A 12-gauge power wire leads to the vehicle’s battery and includes a 30-amp in-line fuse.

Metra’s JP-APJLJT is a 12V accessory power adapter used for installing aftermarket accessories without any wire splicing. It plugs into the back of the lower dashboard power port and has a 10-amp fuse to protect the added accessory.
