Holly Hill, Fla. – January 02, 2020 – As the size and fit of new radios continues to evolve, Metra Electronics® is launching a new 107 Series of dash kits designed specifically to fit most shallow mount receivers with a 7” screen. The new 107 Series allows installers to seamlessly replace headunits that do not fit the standard aftermarket Single-DIN or Double-DIN size. These kits feature a patent-pending design that will work with receivers like the Alpine iLX-W650*, with special brackets included for installation of the Pioneer DMH-C2550NEX and DMHC2500NEX 6.8” touchscreen in-dash receivers. They will also fit most compact shallow mount 7” screen receivers with minor or no dashboard modifications, making for a more cost-effective installation process for these vehicles with restricted space in their dashboards.
The 107-GM4B plastic TurboKit is designed to fit 2019-up** Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 models and 2020-up** Silverado and Sierra 2500 and 3500 models. It includes a blank out plate to replace the factory radio control buttons. The 107-CH3B is designed for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018-up** and Jeep Gladiator 2020-up** models and the 107-GM3B is designed for Chevrolet Camaro 2016-2020 models. A Turbo2 Kit®, the 107-GM5B, designed for Cadillac SRX 2010-2012 models is also being released with new technology. This kit features an integrated OLED screen to retain the climate control information display and the trim panel retains the use of the factory climate control buttons.
These four new kits will be available soon and will be on display at CES 2020 alongside 19 other new dash kits from Metra Electronics at booth 5211 in the North Hall.
