Oklahoma City, OK, March 2 , 2018 -- With the cold Oklahoma winter winds blowing, DD Audio recently packed up their trusty DD Work Van and headed out on a two week tour of the Southwestern United States. Their midway stopping point was sunny California, to attend the first annual KnowledgeFest Long Beach. The travel team consisted of Southwestern U.S. Sales Representative, Douglas Dustman and Northwestern U.S. Sales Representative and Technical Trainer, Aaron Trimble. The dynamic duo headed out a week prior to the KnowledgeFest event and made several stops along the way visiting with current and future dealers in New Mexico, Arizona and Southern California.
The team Arrived at the Long Beach Convention Center along with over 30 other prestigious aftermarket mobile electronics manufacturers, where everyone got a chance to speak one on one with hundreds of attendees. At the booth, DD showcased their in-store retail display and several new products that are slated to be released this summer.
During the event DD Audio also hosted two manufacture training sessions. The first session gave an overview of DD’s wide selection of products, and the second session taught attendees how to hand-build subwoofers just like DD Audio does at the headquarters. Both trainings were well received, but attendees of the subwoofer building session were very vocal about how much they enjoyed the class. One happy attendee stated, “I’ve been in this business over 40 years and this is the first time I’ve ever done anything like that!”
The Knowledgefest Long Beach event was very well attended, especially for its inaugural year, and the DD team had a great time educating shop owners, installers, and salesmen about what makes DD Audio one of the best car audio manufacturers to partner with.
The day after Knowledgefest concluded the van was once again packed up and the duo hit the road to make several more dealer stops before heading back to the DD headquarters. When the road weary Mr. Dustman was asked how the trip went he said,”It was a long trip, but totally worth the miles traveled. It’s awesome to get the opportunity to see all the shops and shake hands with guys who are supporting our brand and way of life”.
Now that the bell has rung for round one of the this year’s trio of KnowledgeFest events, DD will refuel the van and set their course for Knowledge Fest Indianapolis (March 16-18). The DD team hopes they get the chance to see you there, or somewhere along the way.
