KICKER Announces L7QB8 Enclosed Subwoofer

The KICKER® L7QB8 Compact Enclosed Subwoofer is more than an all-aluminum subwoofer enclosure. Measuring under 11 inches long, this powerhouse handles 500 watts RMS, and mounts nearly anywhere.

Using reflex-subwoofer technology, this next-level bass machine is more efficient, can go deeper and take more power than any enclosure of its size. The L7QB8 debuts at CES 2016 today, at booth 1719 in the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall.  Another innovation from the leader in bass, the L7QB8 retails for $799.95 and will be available exclusively at Authorized KICKER Q-Class Dealers by mid-January.

Sleek design, innovative technology and a true love of audio has motivated KICKER to create a solution that meets a long-unfulfilled need:  huge bass in a tiny space.  The KICKER L7QB8 is an enclosed subwoofer made to fill a gap that has gone unsatisfied in the market to date:  an easily installed, upper-echelon subwoofer that is small enough to fit nearly any vehicle on the road today, yet still deliver the massive, detailed bass for which KICKER is famous.  The myriad of technologies incorporated, from the reflex subwoofer to the legendary L7® Subwoofer to the aluminum enclosure itself, reinforces the uniqueness and innovation put into the L7QB8.

KICKER’s visionary design ensures the mobile-audio lover will experience a degree of musical detail and raw power previously unavailable anywhere in an 8-inch form factor.  Utilizing a seamless 1/4-inch-thick, extruded aluminum housing, the L7QB8 enclosure possesses extraordinary strength and stability while affording the subwoofer the optimum internal air volume. A unique reflex subwoofer is used to minimize required airspace, while optimizing the efficiency and frequency response of the L7 Subwoofer.

Opposite the reflex sub, the legendary square L7 Subwoofer utilizes a power rating of 500 watts RMS and frequency response of 27-100Hz, delivering significantly more bass than any other 8-inch enclosure on the market.  While the square cone guarantees the signature L7 Subwoofer moves more air than any similarly sized competitor, it also ensures reliability with features put in for exceptional heat dissipation.

The L7QB8 is the pinnacle of design form and functionality.  The extruded aluminum enclosure is adorned with a charcoal finish, while nickel-plated brass terminals capable of accepting 8AWG wire allow maximum signal transfer to the subwoofer. Matching perforated grilles perfectly integrate with the sub, built to be as tough as it is refined.

The enclosed subwoofer comes with a low-profile mounting system consisting of a mounting plate and bar. Fully installed, the overall height of the enclosure is a scant 9-1/2 inches, small enough to work perfectly in countless trucks, sedans and SUVs.  Whether to augment a factory system or as the complement to a higher-end audio install, the subwoofer can be tucked neatly away under a seat or in the trunk.
