Built with Phillips Luxeon ZES LED chips, these headlight kits are extremely bright, providing the additional light needed on dark nights.  Each kit has a pair of 22-watt LED bulbs, and a pair of ballasts that help regulate and drive the voltage to the LED lights.

This kit features easy-to-use rotary knobs that allow for the control of climate functions along with a 7” touchscreen that retains most of the features typically lost when replacing the factory radio. Additional factory-style hard buttons have laser-etched graphics for access to vehicle personalization menus. Metra’s built-in patented interface technology retains climate control, safety, and steering wheel control features. The vehicle’s hazard button and passenger airbag indicator have also been integrated into the kit, which is painted scratch-resistant matte black to match the factory finish and includes installation parts needed for a Double-DIN aftermarket radio installation.

The AXPIO-MAV1 dash kit designed to fit 2022-Up* Ford Maverick and the AXPIO-NI2 designed to fit the 2013-2020 Nissan Pathfinder are fully integrated dash kit packages designed specifically for select Pioneer® receivers†. These complete solutions include an AXPIO Series interface, vehicle-specific harnessing, a dash kit, and more. Vehicle information and settings controlled on the factory screen are retained, displayed, and managed on the Pioneer® touchscreen. Holly Hill, Fla. – December 27, 2019 – Metra Marine® by Metra Electronics®, is introducing new transom LED lights and drain plug LED lights for boats at CES 2020. These products are designed for the back of the boat to light up the water and are constructed of stainless steel 316 housing and are IP68 certified to withstand the harsh marine environment. These high-output underwater lights come in a variety of sizes and range from 15 watts all the way up to 72 watts of light, designed for a surface mount. The transom lights are available in white, blue, RGB or RGBW (RGB LEDs with a pure white light option).

Waterproof 6.5-Inch Can Speakers with RGB Lights

Holly Hill, FL - April 2017 – Metra Electronics has expanded their new brand, Metra PowerSports, by adding waterproof 6.5-inch can speakers with RGB lights and micro-amplifiers, which are now in stock and shipping.

The new Metra PowerSports 6.5-inch Can Speakers with RGB Lights are designed for whatever the marine or off-road customer can throw at it. The UV protected, high temperature ABS provides a durable housing by employing a dual wall design. The waterproof speakers are IPX6 rated to handle water, dust and all the elements, while still delivering great sound performance. They are constructed from polypropylene and the tweeters are PEI (Polyetherimide). A passive 3-inch radiator offers a more robust sound by making these speakers more bass responsive. The impedance is 4 ohms with a 6dB passive crossover, frequency response from 60Hz to 20 KHz and a sound pressure level of 90dB. As an added feature, the speakers include RGB lighting that can be connected to the Metra PowerSports RGB Controller (MPS-RGBC-4). The speakers offer four mounting size options for extra versatility, and can be rotated for optimal sound positioning. The speakers, part number MPS-65CSRGB, are sold as a pair with a one year warranty, under the Metra PowerSports brand.

Micro-Amplifiers for Powersports Applications

Metra PowerSports has also introduced two new micro-amplifiers that are designed for harsh environments. With an IPX6 rating, these compact amplifiers are designed to get wet and not miss a beat. There are two models; a 4-channel (MPS-AMP60X4) that outputs 60 watts per channel and a 2-channel (MPS-AMP100X2) that outputs 100 watts per channel. Both amplifiers are bridgeable to provide more flexibility and designed to fit into smaller applications. The gain frequency is from .2 volts to 5 volts with a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 KHz. The chipset technology is full range class D using IR control chips.

The input side of the amplifiers has an 8’ cable with an IP68 connector that is designed to plug directly into the Metra PowerSports Bluetooth Controller (MPS-BTK sold separately). For use without the MPS-BTK, the amplifiers come with a pigtail that allows the user to connect any radio or Bluetooth controller with an RCA output. The power cables are 8’ long with a waterproof fuse holder to reach any battery location, whether it be in a side-by-side, ATV, UTV, boat or motorcycle.

UTV Rollbar Cage Side Mirrors with LED Spotlights

The MPS-RBSVMS is a universal accessory that functions as both a forward-facing spotlight and side mirror to increase the driver’s overall visibility. The anti-glare mirrors with a wide-angle viewing convex are constructed with aluminum alloy housing and rated IP68 to withstand the demands of the off-road environment. Each mirror has a light with 9 LEDs inside a smoke colored lens that produces 4,500 lumens to illuminate the left and right side of the UTV. Universal 4.5” Water-Resistant Replacement Rearview Mirror Monitor

Display video from two different camera inputs onto an IP69 rated rearview mirror monitor with the MPS-WRM45. This monitor has signal sensing to show the rearview camera feed when driving in reverse. It is engineered for outdoor vehicles and recommended for use with iBEAM’s TE-MIFM or TE-SBC cameras, but will work with most aftermarket camera inputs. RGB LED, Fiber Optic and Dancing Whip Lights

Three new styles of RGB whip lights available in 4 or 6 foot lengths have been added to the Metra PowerSports product line and began shipping this fall. Metra's new dash kit for the 2011-2018.5 Jeep® Wrangler JK, the DP-6511-JK, includes a replacement dashboard panel engineered to help install a 4” tall (Double-DIN) aftermarket radio in a dash that does not typically accommodate a modern Double-DIN radio. The replacement panel allows installers to upgrade the radio without complex or labor-intensive custom fabrication. It is textured to match the original look and feel of the vehicle’s dashboard.

Metra's new solutions for Pioneer® modular solutions receivers are exclusively manufactured to install Pioneer’s 6.8-inch modular receivers into the dash, like the DMH-WC5700NEX and the DMH-C2500NEX†. These kits will also accommodate most shallow-mount 4” tall (Double-DIN) aftermarket radios. They feature ABS trim panels to match the aftermarket radios' finish.

The new 95-7643 dash kit designed to fit the 2013-2020 Nissan Pathfinder combines the best of what Metra's TurboTouch and TurboTactile kits offer. This kit features easy-to-use rotary knobs that allow for the control of climate functions along with a 7” touchscreen that retains most of the features typically lost when replacing the factory radio. Additional factory-style hard buttons have laser-etched graphics for access to vehicle personalization menus. Metra’s built-in patented interface technology retains climate control, safety, and steering wheel control features. The vehicle’s hazard button and passenger airbag indicator have also been integrated into the kit, which is painted scratch-resistant matte black to match the factory finish and includes installation parts needed for a Double-DIN aftermarket radio installation.

Metra is also introducing an amplifier bypass harness (70-5526) that fits select 2004-2006 Lincoln vehicles with THX® and an antenna adapter that fits select 2022-2024 Toyota vehicles (40-TY12). The amplifier bypass harness aids in installing a new car radio faster by plugging right into the vehicle's connectors, allowing installers to hook up the radio to the vehicle's electrical system. On one side, the wiring harness is color-coded with wires that connect or solder into the aftermarket radio/receiver. The other side has a vehicle-specific adapter that connects directly to the original radio connectors for a quicker installation without having to cut each of the wires. The antenna cable adapter ensures installers can continue using a vehicle's factory antenna when replacing the radio.

Anderson, an Industry Expert in Mobile Electronics Integration, will Help Metra Continue to Grow New Product Lines

Holly Hill, FL - September 2017 – Metra Electronics® has announced the addition of Jason Anderson as vice president of research and development. Anderson will oversee new product lines, further filling out its team of mobile electronics industry veterans in the company's corporate headquarters in Holly Hill, Fla. He will focus on accelerating innovation and growth for all of Metra’s 12 Volt brands by leading new product line development.

A 1997 graduate of Metra’s Installer Institute, Anderson went on to spend 11 years at the school, becoming a Master Certified MECP instructor - and later director, holding all certifications. During his time at the Installer Institute he contributed to the growth of the school’s mobile electronics program, building it from a 4 week course to 10 weeks, along with expanding to a new, larger facility. A truly dedicated individual and a staple to the electronics field, Anderson has trained thousands of installers, including those graduates who have gone on to become Installer of the Year, and many who are now business owners or well known installers in the industry. He has traveled to India on three separate month-long excursions as an ambassador of the school, training a total of 180 installers.

Anderson also helped to create the Mobile Electronics Schools Association, or MESA. This program provides graduates with certification of their skill level via hands-on testing instead of standardized written tests. MESA certification is beneficial to installers throughout their careers, and helps employers identify candidates for employment who have proven their ability and aptitude in hands-on mobile electronics installations.

A 2005 recipient of the MECP industry leader award, Anderson has much to offer in his new role at Metra Electronics. Media accolades include the creation of 14 training videos for the Installer Institute, authoring instructional manuals, and numerous articles in PASMag - as well as other prestigious publications. Anderson has been instrumental in the training of US government agents in servicing presidential vehicles and has also trained Special Operations teams with skills they can use to combat terrorism.

Personal endeavours include owning a successful car audio installation business, located in Ormond Beach, FL - where he oversaw marine, home, and vehicle dealership services. Jason has also built custom show cars, including the “Black Death Escalade” which is featured on the Installer Institute’s website.

OCTOBER 2016: HOLLY HILL, FL – Metra’s Heise LED brand of lighting systems introduces new LED headlight and fog light sets specifically designed for 1997- current Jeep Wranglers, as well as single headlights and fog light sets for motorcycles. These new DOT (Department of Transportation) approved LED lights from Heise are water and dust resistant (IP rating 67) making them ready for any road.

The 7-inch round Jeep Wrangler headlights with CREE LEDs outshine the factory lights. Choose from either a black or silver front face, with either a full halo, or partial halo with a turn signal. The 4-inch fog light sets are also available with either a black or silver front face, or black with a white “angel eye” halo that connects to the lights of the vehicle.

The motorcycle headlights are available in either a 7-inch or 5.6-inch option. Choose from either a black or silver front face, with either a full halo, or partial halo with a turn signal. Fog lights and auxiliary sets measure 4.5-inch, and come in either a black or silver front face, with an option for a halo ring. Also built with CREE LEDs, these headlights are extremely bright and tough. The polycarbonate lens cover is considered to be virtually unbreakable by the company.
