ADAS supplier introduces Advanced Blind Spot solutions
December 1, 2017... Houston, TX -- DriveAssist Technologies, a premier supplier of safety and convenience products for the automotive aftermarket, has begun shipping its SideSpotter lineup of Blind Spot solutions to select 12 volt specialists in the US and Canada.
"SideSpotter" is our complete line of Blind Spot solutions, it includes a vehicle specific OE style, side camera system pictured below and our Universal Microwave sensor based system that mounts behind the bumper and easily connects to the vehicles OBD-II port.
Toyota Tundra SideSpotter Camera System
Our Sidespotter systems provide multiple options to installers and end users and when combined, offer maximum protection while vehicle is in motion. Our SideSpotter OE style camera based system is currently available for Toyota Tundra/Sequoia and Honda Accord/Odyssey (right side only) vehicles. The camera(s) fit precisely in factory provided areas below side mirror(s) and connect to the factory in dash screen. The Microwave sensor system uses (2) OE Quality sensors that mount behind the bumpers without a lengthy calibration process. The system uses LED Sensors mounted to each A Pillar and a small speaker installed under the dash to warn the driver of any vehicle in the "Blind Zone". Another feature is cross traffic monitoring useful when backing out of parking spots. The system connects easily to the vehicles Speed Sensor via the OBD-II port insuring it does not operate above 20 MPH, thus eliminating false alarms, said Bob Goodman, Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
