“I am pleased that we were able to come to this resolution,” said David Klatt, CEO of AAMP Global, “it is the best outcome for both AAMP and our customers.  I am impressed with the technology ADS has produced and how they have integrated themselves into the radio manufacturers.  AAMP is committed to maximizing internal and external resources to fulfill and exceed our promise to our customers by delivering technology solutions that makes their installations faster, easier and allows them to better serve their consumers.”

“We are excited to be partnering with AAMP, and I specifically commend David for his leadership in championing this partnership,” said Frank Barassi, President of ADS. “AAMP’s strength in distribution, marketing and sales will further propel the success of Maestro throughout all channels of distribution.”

For forty years, PAC, a Power Brand of AAMP Global, has paved the way for integrated vehicle technology, providing leading edge solutions that allow drivers to enhance their vehicle while retaining the factory experience, including its flagship line: RadioPRO.  ADS, with an eleven-year history of integration primarily in remote start/security, entered the audio interface market in 2012 introducing a proprietary two-way serial interface with aftermarket radios.

Maestro interfaces are the perfect complement to the PAC lineup, and facilitate the installation of aftermarket radios while seamlessly retaining the vehicle’s factory audio features such as voice commands, Bluetooth, satellite radio, steering wheel controls, and more.

“With its ability to retain factory HVAC, add performance gauges, and display vehicle safety information on the screen of the aftermarket radio, the addition of Maestro completes our overall interface portfolio,” said Scott Forst, senior vice president of sales at AAMP Global.

AAMP will now be offering ADS’s line of iDatalink Maestro products to its retail partners.  iDatalink Maestro solutions are web-programmable and offer ‘plug & play’ installation for over 6000+ vehicles from 1998 to present.

This partnership also brings together two industry veterans, Brett Riggs, Vice President of Integration and Infotainment at AAMP Global, and Mark Rutledge, Director of Engineering at ADS.  Both have proven track records of conceptualizing and implementing technology that has revolutionized the way aftermarket products are integrated into the vehicle.

“With the overwhelming reach and expertise that AAMP has into the retail channel we are extremely excited at the prospect of delivering Maestro to the 20,000+ store fronts that AAMP reaches.   We expect a high amount of synergy as the two companies collaborate on future projects,” said Rutledge.

AAMP retail partners can purchase the Maestro lineup through their AAMP sales representative beginning August 1, 2016.  ADS will provide technical support for all customers, including those who purchased their products through AAMP.  For more information, or to speak with someone in sales email This email address is being protected from spambots. CLEARWATER, FL (November 3, 2016) – AAMP Global introduces a new Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy kicking off with the PAC and EchoMaster brands. This policy is designed to protect the value and integrity of AAMP’s Power Brands, and AAMP’s network of retail partners.

Why Implement a MAP Policy?

The Internet has made it easier than ever for consumers to research products before they buy, and part of that process is price comparison. People can choose from a variety of online stores and vendors, and in many cases, they’ll go with whoever has the lowest price. For brick and mortar stores, this “showrooming” has been especially problematic.  Consumers look at products in person before buying them online at a lower price. Because online retailers have minimal overhead, the discounts can be incredibly steep. This not only disadvantages other retailers, but can devalue AAMP Global’s brands.

This new MAP policy prevents retailers from advertisingAAMP Power Brand products too cheaply, protecting the value of these solutions. The MAP agreement requires retailers to advertise the products at what they’re worth, and prevents online retailers with minimum overhead from offering steep discounts that give them an advantage over other sellers.

“We recognize the investments our brick and mortar retailers are making and the effect margin compression caused by online price erosion can have, especially within the AAMP portfolio of accessories.   AAMP invests large amounts of resource to engineer, develop and market these products, our mission with the new policy is to secure the margins our retail partners need to be successful.”   explained Scott Forst senior vice president of sales.

By implementing a MAP policy, AAMP Global hopes to free certified retailers from the burden of catering to price-driven bargain shoppers. Instead, AAMP’s products can be priced consistently in a way that reflects their true value.

AAMP has introduced the PACBCI-CH21, a plug-and-play kit that facilitates the installation of a backup camera system to select Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles with CAN-Bus.

The popularity of in-vehicle backup camera systems has grown, especially fueled by them becoming universal in new vehicles off the lot. But, with the average age of the vehicles on the road being 11, there are still many drivers out there looking to enhance their car with a backup camera system.

“The BCI-CH21, and the entire PAC line of backup camera integration modules, gives drivers the ability to add a backup camera system to their vehicle, while retaining the factory look and experience,” says PAC Product Manager, Nathan Wincek. “Beyond the consumer experience, we have also designed the piece to allow for easy plug-and-play installation, enabling professional installers to better serve their customers.”

According to a recent consumer survey conducted by AAMP, 42% of respondents felt having a backup camera is “very important” and 25% “important”, yet 70% of respondents’ vehicles did not currently have a backup camera system and 60% of respondents said they would like to add this feature to their current vehicle.

In addition to the BCI-CH21, AAMP offers a full range of products that allow drivers to add a backup camera to their existing vehicle. While the BCI-CH21 enables backup camera integration into your factory screen, through AAMP’s safety brand Echomaster, consumers also have the option to replace their rear view mirror, with a mirror that displays your backup camera projection, including park assist.

“We recognize how important it is to feel safe every time you get behind the steering wheel,” says Global Safety and Convenience GM, Shaun Findley (based in Bordon, UK) , “which is why we have developed a global line of products that give drivers the ability to easily add a backup camera to any vehicle. We also believe that you should be able to personalize your experience, which is why we have products that let you pick your view: through the factory screen, or in your rear view mirror; and pick your camera.”
