LONG BEACH, CA – March 17, 2025 – JVCKENWOOD USA announces the retirement of Dave Hoag, Executive Vice President, following an impactful and celebrated career spanning over three decades. Dave began his journey in retail at Magnolia HiFi, then moved to the “supply side” with KENWOOD in 1994 as a Kenwood Rep in the Pacific Northwest. In 2002, he joined Sirius Satellite Radio as a Key Accounts Manager, then rejoined Kenwood in November 2004 as Western Region Manager. He quickly advanced to Director of Sales in 2006 and has since played a significant role in shaping the company's growth and success.
Throughout his tenure, Dave has cherished every relationship built, emphasizing the importance of humility, respect, trust, and shared goals. He has expressed immense pride in the remarkable individuals he's had the pleasure of developing, mentoring, and growing alongside—employees, representatives, and dealers alike. Dave’s leadership philosophy consistently focused on empowerment, trust, and autonomy, allowing those around him to flourish and excel in their roles.
Reflecting on his impactful career, Dave shared, "Empowering people has always been the cornerstone of my leadership style. Allowing individuals the freedom to learn and grow, even if it involves occasional failure, has been crucial in fostering an environment where true learning can occur, and each person will achieve their highest potential. I'm incredibly grateful for the dedicated and talented people I've been fortunate to work alongside." In retirement, Dave looks forward to enjoying quality time with his family, traveling, learning to fish, and creating new memories.
