Autobytel Releases New and Used Car Shopping and Buying Trends

IRVINE, Calif., July 19, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Autobytel Inc., a leading provider of online automotive services connecting consumers with dealers, recently completed its analysis of full year 2015 online car shopping data as well as actual vehicle sales, by manufacturer, that resulted from consumers submitting leads through the Autobytel network. The following chart highlights the most popularly requested new and used makes and models at Autobytel’s network of sites for 2015.

IHS Automotive matched consumers who submitted leads through the Autobytel network to new car retail state vehicle registration records from January to December 2015 and found matching percentages in the 5 – 6% range for a number of different automakers.  The top 10 manufacturers are highlighted below.

Consumers submitting leads via the Autobytel network resulted in over 713,747 new retail vehicle sales during this 12 month period* and over 2.5 million new retail sales from 2011 – 2015.
