The Z13000 replaces the Z12000, and is the latest offering in DD’s legendary Z Series, top-of-the-line powerhouse amplifiers. New upgrades were engineered to maximize the durability and ease of long term service of the two section PCB.

For the Z13000, DD upgraded to larger, higher current power supply Mosfets, increasing current delivery by over 30%. PCB components were upgraded from surface mount to high-capacity through-hole mounted parts. The total number of output section Mosfets went from 12 to 16 and the overall heat sink length was increased for the most demanding thermal applications.

An internal brushless fan pulls in cooler air through an elevated bottom panel and end panel vents to maximize air flow. Additionally it features quadruple power terminal blocks, variable 24dB/Oct bandpass filters, and an input for DD’s ZVL linking module.

The 13000W rated Z Series Half-Bridge Monoblock is in every way Competition Grade. As with its predecessor, the Z13k has been optimized for 16V and is produced in limited runs only, and generally sells through Authorized DD AUDIO Dealers, but will be made available online for in limited quantities.

The M9000 replaces the M8000, and features DD’s 7th generation M Series high-current amplifier circuit, refined with new enhancements focused on extended reliability, durability, and improved transient response. These upgrades provide greater control and stability under load for improved sound quality revealed through tight, solid, and shocking low-end punch.

The M9000 represents an overall 30% increase in current power supply capacitance over its predecessor, with beefed up internal high current pathways on the PCB as high stress sections were redesigned to use through-hole, higher power components. Additionally 2 toroidal transformers were added making it a six-pack power supply, while larger, higher current Mosfets were used and the overall total increased from 16 to 24. STILLWATER, OK – The 2026 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) will soon take place in Atlanta June 1-5. North America’s highest achieving skilled career and technical education students will participate in the premier showcase SkillsUSA Competition. Students are currently competing at the regional and state levels to earn a coveted spot to compete at NLSC.

Meridian Technology Center in Stillwater, OK recently hosted the 2026 SkillsUSA – Mobile Electronics Installation state contest. The contest was attended by twenty-one students who are enrolled in automotive technology programs in high school and vocational schools all over Oklahoma. Students competed in various contests which included soldering, Ohm’s law applications, amplifier tuning, and customer service. Only two competitors will advance to the national contest: the top performing high school student and top performing post-secondary student.

STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® strengthened its commitment to technical education by visiting Franklin Technology Center in Joplin, Missouri, on February 19. KICKER Training representatives Aaron Malin and Jacob Luckey conducted an interactive session with automotive students as part of the SkillsUSA national workforce program.

This was the second time KICKER has partnered with instructor Joe Flynn’s class in the last three years. The session included an overview of KICKER, fundamentals of car-audio systems, listening demonstrations, and hands-on activities. Students assisted in setting up the KICKER’s SkillsUSA amplifier and subwoofer training rigs. Several pairs of KICKER earbuds were awarded as prizes to participating students.

“We enjoy working with the students at the technical schools,” Malin said. “Many don’t know that car audio can be a very exciting and lucrative career. Everyone loves music!”
