Innovative President Jason Digos Performed Three Sessions for Dealers in the Arizona Market at Tempe, Ariz.-Based Mobile Solutions’ Headquarters

Tempe, Ariz., May 16, 2017 — Hitting the ground running, industry veteran and Innovative Sales & Marketing (www.innovativesales.us) President Jason Digos recently performed three AudioControl OEM integration trainings for dealers in the Arizona market.

“The trainings were focused around the process of OEM integration using some of the newest products from AudioControl,” explained Digos, who recently founded the Apache Junction, Ariz.-based manufacturer’s rep firm, which covers the Arizona, Southern Nevada, New Mexico, and El Paso territory for its 12 Volt manufacturer partners. “Learning the process of OEM audio integration is important for today's 12 volt retailer, so we take the time with our dealer base to show these tools and techniques to help make the job easier.”

Nearly 80 people over the course of the three days of trainings attended the sessions, which were based at Mobile Solutions headquarters in Tempe, Ariz. Attendees included personnel from local Audio Express stores as well as eight independent retailers.

“We learned so much from this training,” said Dustin Nesmith, install manager from Audio Express. “Jason’s explanation of the OEM integration process was very detailed and simple to understand. Then having the live demos using the AudioControl products connected all the dots.”

Chris Bennett, AudioControl National Sales Manager – Mobile, added, “Awesome! This really has been the most exciting thing I have seen a rep do since I started here at AudioControl.”

Jeff Laforet, owner of Kar Tunes in Tempe, said, “We have been an AudioControl dealer for years, and OEM integration is becoming a bigger part of our business. So, a training like this is really important to us.”

5-17-2018 Mobile Electronics -- There is a distinct sense that nothing ruffles technical product director of AudioControl Brandon Cook—a good thing since he’s in charge of engineering, customer service and technical support for a well-established brand in the car and home audio business.

“We need to make sure that our products are continuously being updated, are cutting edge and exceeding our customers’ expectations,” he said.

Based in Washington, and in business since 1977, the company self-proclaims it isn’t big, nor very small—just made up of a group of obsessive audio experts, not to mention some of the best engineers on the planet.

Put all of those credentials together and... Read the rest of the story HERE.

11-16-2016, Mobile Electronics -- The Pacific Northwest, well known as a music and tech haven, and also the birthplace of grunge, is where you will find the home of AudioControl. The distinctive geographical setting is appropriate for a company with its own unique heritage. Started by musician and former Boeing worker Greg Mackie in his basement in 1977, AudioControl has grown up from its humble roots to become a major name in the consumer technology world.

In business for almost 40 years, the company designs and builds top-notch audio equipment (for both home and car) from scratch. With two facilities, an 8,000 square-foot building in Spokane, and a 24,000 square-foot operation in Mountlake Terrace, Wash., AudioControl takes tremendous pride in its “made in America” background.

Today, the company has about 50 employees—including obsessive audio experts and accomplished engineers—who are completely passionate about what they do.

“One of the most interesting things for me coming on board a year and a half ago is that AudioControl is poised with all of their history to do some outstanding things,” said Chris Bennett, national sales manager-mobile, who has 23 years invested in the mobile electronics industry.

“It is probably one of the most consistent 12-volt companies that has ever existed,” he said. “Sales have never dramatically increased, but they’ve never dramatically decreased either. We still sell the same amount of EQs, processors, epicenters and line drivers as we did in the last 20 years.” And not only does it sell to the entire country, but the company also ships its products all over the globe to every continent except Antarctica.

Not to mention the company’s mission and tagline is refreshingly simple: “Making good sound great.”

According to Brandon Cook, director of technical services, who has been with AudioControl for 10 years, everyone is passionate about what they do from a quality standpoint. “What we’re doing is providing the means for folks to experience their favorite thing—music in their car,” he said. “That is what our stereo products do. They let folks build up their audio systems into what allows them a true experience instead of just sticking a couple of speakers in their doors.”

That passion, Cook added, translates all the way through to customer service, technical support, engineering, the components that are chosen and placed by hand, and then tested by hand. “I have a passion for an elegant interface,” Cook said. “Something that the installer can actually put in there that makes sense and is not too cumbersome.”

Borla And AudioControl, Partner To Develop A New And Unique Exhaust Sound System For EVs

Clearwater, FL (October 13, 2022) – Borla Exhaust, a world-leader in performance exhaust systems, partnered with AudioControl, known in the vehicle aftermarket industry for its high-performance audio solutions, to bring the Borla Active Performance Sound™ System to life. David Borla, VP, Marketing and Sales at Borla, had a vision to bring the sensory excitement that driving enthusiasts have grown to expect from Borla, now to EV drivers. Electric Vehicles lose an element of driver excitement with the loss of audible exhaust. With its many years of audio processing expertise, AudioControl was able to develop state-of-the-art technology needed for Borla to add that excitement back to the EV driving experience.

Years in the making, Borla’s Active Performance Sound System, utilizes a proprietary Borla algorithm that takes into consideration the vehicle’s speed, power, RPM, torque and load with zero latency. It was developed using professional recordings of actual Borla equipped internal-combustion (ICE) vehicles. Multiple microphones capture all characteristics of ICE audio, including idle, ramps to redline, cruising, throttle lifts, “burbles & pops” and more. Using real-time data from the EV's internal computer, the Borla System generates a hyper-realistic ICE soundtrack that perfectly matches the EV motor status and other vehicle dynamics. The System perfectly pairs with a mobile app where drivers can select from multiple Borla sound technologies including ATAK®, S-Type and Touring all with full control over volume and other characteristics.

“Sound, vision and touch are the 3 senses we use for sport driving and without the real-time feedback of motor and vehicle dynamics through soundwaves and vibration much of that experience is missing,” stated David Borla, who prior to his 25 years at Borla Exhaust was a professional musician. “This product is actually an instrument, in more ways than one. It's like an audio tachometer that provides drivers with that real-time feedback, and it's also like a musical instrument that plays an exciting soundtrack which enhances the driving experience giving the vehicle personality and a sense of soul” Borla said, adding “Afterall, who wants to watch ‘Fast n’ Furious’ movies or play ‘Forza’ with no sound? They go to great lengths to ensure sound is prevalent in those mediums for a reason.”

Don Zaney, Vice President, Product Development at AAMP Global (parent company of AudioControl) said, “We were honored when our OEM partners recommended us to Borla. Once the two companies met, we were convinced it was the perfect marriage of capabilities to bring this amazing new product to life. Throughout the development and testing process it was our number one goal to maintain the highest standards in our areas of expertise; CAN bus integration, digital sound processing and amplification technology”

Featured on MotorTrend’s popular TV show, All Girls Garage, the vehicle-specific kit is expected to start shipping by Fall 2022 for the Mustang Mach-E first and then made available for Ford Lightning and other EV models soon after. It will be on display at the 2022 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas in both the Borla booth (Central Hall, #22765) and AudioControl booth (North Hall, #10929). Customers can currently sign up to be notified when the System becomes available.

Borla Performance Industries is the pioneer and leader in performance sound modification and personalization for cars and trucks. The number “78” on their race team vehicles pays homage to the year 1978, when they began modifying vehicle sound by building exhaust systems for Rolls-Royce and Ferrari concours classics. Since that day over four decades ago, Borla has evolved to become the premier choice for enhancing the performance sport driving experience through sound worldwide.
