Established in 1987, owned by Audax Private Equity, and headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, AAMP Global restlessly pursues innovative ways to enhance what moves people. Global manufacturer of mobile aftermarket technology for consumer and commercial vehicles; developing safety solutions under EchoMaster, smartphone connectivity under iSimple, high performance audio enhancement under Stinger and Phoenix Gold, and OEM integration solutions under Autoleads and PAC. AAMP enables individuals to define their drive, one vehicle at a time, anywhere in the world.
August Issue Feature, 8-10-2016 -- As an installer practicing in the 90s, Pacific Accessory Corporation was the name you knew for all the "little things" that made electronics integration work. Whether it was a timer, signal converter or turn-on delay, PAC had the solution.
Today, they don't use the whole name anymore as the brand is now a division of a larger corporation, AAMP Global. It's simply called PAC. But despite the obsolete name, what is not lost is the 40 years of innovation the brand contributed to make the mobile electronics industry what it is today.
As the anniversary number implies, PAC was started in 1976 by John Patterson, who saw a market opportunity to create a better antenna connection for CB radios. The package featured a hideaway antenna and slide mount adapter for the radio. Unfortunately, the window closed quickly as the government changed CB specs just as the units were being manufactured.
Piggyback Ride to Big Boxes
The company turned its attention to the burgeoning car stereo installation business, producing noise filters, crossovers, times and signal adapters for shops across the country. PAC developed strong ties with the specialist installation community and quickly became known for its customer-focused phone technical support. Those ties were so strong that a car stereo company gave Patterson the designs for a new high-to low adapter concept that the company developed into some of its most successful products early on: the SNI-1, SNI-8 and SNI-15.

Clearwater, FL - (August 28, 2017) – EchoMaster and PAC, Power Brands of AAMP Global, are introducing a new multi-camera interface, MCI-GM51, for select 2014 - 2017 GM trucks and SUVs with 4.2” and 8” screens. MCI-GM51 is an integrated safety solution from PAC giving the ability to add up to four EchoMaster cameras on a vehicle to enhance awareness of surroundings, enabling a safer and more informed driving experience.
Whether driving, parking, towing, or transporting, adding safety cameras eliminate those blind spots and provide additional driving support. Safety cameras can make parking much easier - with visibility of blind spots, one can maneuver into almost any space with ease.
With MCI-GM51, you can add blind spot, rear, front, trunk, tailgate, or roof mount cameras – your multi-camera viewing solution can be customized to best meet your driving needs. If you are using your vehicle to tow, you can check on your load to make sure it gets to your destination safely.
When adding blind spot cameras, the vehicle’s turn signals automatically trigger the side lane change assistance cameras making it easier to see around your vehicle when changing lanes to aid in collision avoidance.
With backup cameras, putting the vehicle in reverse will automatically display what is behind the vehicle improving your rear vision to help you reverse with confidence. If the vehicle is equipped with a factory backup camera, the multi-camera interface will give you the ability to override the factory backup camera for multi-camera viewing options to give you the viewing solution you want.
On an 8” factory screen, you can access a touch screen GUI that gives you the control to switch between your camera views manually, creating a responsive, customized and seamless viewing of your blind spots.
PAC recommends EchoMaster cameras when equipping a multi-camera viewing solution to assure that you have a trusted safety solution.
To see camera options, check out the EchoMaster Website.
MCI-GM51 is a plug-n-play interface - simplifying and saving time in the installation process. The interface features a low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) digital output displaying quality video from the cameras to the factory screen to give you the information you need for a more informed driving experience.
MCI-GM51 is currently available at a suggested retail price of $599.99, which includes the integration module, a power adapter harness, a camera input and power harness, installation accessories (NVH kit and cable ties), and the instruction manual. Cameras are sold separately from EchoMaster.

SWI-CP2 is Quickly Configured via DIP Switches and ControlPRO App for PC, iOS, and Android
CLEARWATER, FL – July 28, 2016 – Retaining the steering wheel controls of a vehicle when upgrading to an aftermarket radio can be a complex and timely procedure depending on the interface being used. PAC simplified that process with the release of the ControlPRO 2, SWI-CP2 programmable steering wheel control (SWC) interface module. The advanced SWC unit is compatible with today’s most popular vehicles from GM, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Toyota, Honda, VW, Hyundai, and more. This includes vehicle models that run on more sophisticated electronic systems such as CAN bus, GMLAN and Class II, LIN bus, and I-Bus. It can be configured through its integrated DIP switches or a PC connection utilizing the ControlPRO PC application. Additionally, a separate ControlPRO app is also available for iOS and Android devices to further simplify the set-up process.
“The SWI-CP2 saves a significant amount of installation time which results in increased revenue for the shop,” said Nathan Wincek, senior product manager of integration products for AAMP Global. “Setting the DIP switches or ‘flashing’ the device via a PC connection to configure the module to the vehicle and radio takes only seconds with no additional steps to follow. Using the SWI-CP2 for retaining steering wheel controls is a winning proposition for the installer, shop, and also the customer.”
SWI-CP2 Configuration and Installation Options:
- DIP Switches – Located on the side of the module, the DIP switches make configuration fast, easy and reliable, eliminating the need to follow complicated button-press procedures.
- ControlPRO iOS and Android Apps – Compatible with iOS and Android devices, the ControlPRO app contains a library of vehicle and aftermarket radio configurations. Users only need to input the year, make, model of the vehicle, and radio manufacturer to obtain the correct setting and wiring information for their specific installation.
- ControlPRO PC App – The special ControlPRO PC application makes configuring the module even quicker. Installers simply key-in the same vehicle and radio information, and quickly “flash” the device. With the use of the PC app, the module can be further customized with settings such as dual function button programming options or complete reconfiguration of all steering wheel buttons to the customer’s exact request. The PC software is available for download at aampglobal.com/appdownloads
The PAC SWI-CP2 steering wheel control interface is now available for a suggested retail price of $99.95.

Enables Up to Four Camera Integration with Touch Screen Camera User Interface, Giving Drivers Full Control of Their Safety Experience
CLEARWATER, FL – (September 27, 2017) Today, PAC, manufacturer of vehicle integration technology, announced the release of MCI-GM52, its latest addition to its video integration suite. MCI-GM52, facilitates the integration of up to four safety cameras on select 2015 – 2017 General Motors trucks with a 7” screen (RPO IOB). Due to trucks’ larger size, the driver is presented with significant blind spot areas creating dangerous situations when driving, parking, and reversing. Adding safety cameras to your vehicle, has been proven to reduce the risk from the more common-place blind spot accidents. Such as back-over crashes, or side-swipe crashes. Especially common when smaller vehicles or motorcycles are in a truck’s blind spot while changing lanes.
MCI-GM52 is a plug-n-play interface making these safety camera installations easier, resulting in time savings. With the multi-camera interface, you can add cameras such as side, rear, front, trunk, tailgate, or roof mount cameras to create a viewing solution to meet your driving needs. Additionally, the MCI-GM52 improves the use of those safety cameras, making them responsive to driver behavior, or allowing the driver full control of camera activation through a simple touch-screen interface.
When equipped, the multi-camera interface allows automatic activation of side lane change assistance cameras when using turn signals for lane change assistance, and reverse cameras when putting your vehicle in reverse to prevent back-over crashes. MCI-GM52 is customizable to meet the needs of vehicles with or without a factory back-up camera. If the vehicle is equipped with a factory back-up camera, the multi-camera interface will give you the ability to override that camera for multi-camera viewing.
The user-friendly touch screen camera interface gives you the ability to switch between your camera views manually, creating a responsive, customized, and seamless viewing of your blind spots.
PAC recommends the following General Motors EchoMaster cameras for a complete blind spot, collision avoidance solution:
- CHMSL Camera: PCAM-CHMSL-SIL – CHMSL cameras mount into the truck’s third brake light, offering the driver a view into the bed of their truck
- Front Camera: PCAM-10FF-GM
- Blind spot Cameras: PCAM-BS1 – Lane change assistance side cameras, mounted under the mirrors
- Wireless Camera: RVC-W2 – Multiple mounting options available, perfect for towing

VS41 Enables Blind-Spot Elimination, Front, and Rearview Cameras that are Automatically Triggered by Driver Behavior
CLEARWATER, FL - (August 31, 2016) – Safety continues to be the most important topic in the automotive industry, and PAC, a Power Brand of AAMP Global, is addressing the subject with the launch of its VS41 intelligent 4-camera switcher. The camera interface is small, compact, and designed for easy installation, automatically triggering the inputs based on driver behavior. The new VS41, combined with EchoMaster or other aftermarket cameras, and a compatible radio, provides a complete integrated safety solution for drivers. It enables a front, left and right, and reverse cameras to be quickly added to an aftermarket radio, or factory radio (with the addition of a camera interface).
“Late model cars are now equipped with various types of cameras but there are millions of vehicles on the road today that lack this important feature. The VS41 and a properly configured camera system gives drivers increased awareness they are seeking,” said Nathan Wincek, senior product manager of Integration Products for AAMP Global.
The back-up input on the VS41 is triggered by simply shifting the vehicle into reverse making the input a priority to display the reverse camera feed on the radio. This is especially helpful with large vehicles like trucks and vans that make it extremely difficult to see what is behind the vehicle while backing up. The left and right inputs are activated by the vehicle’s turn signals, with the VS41 automatically creating a constant output to ensure the driver sees a steady, uninterrupted view from the connected side cameras. Drivers will gain confidence and feel safer while changing lanes knowing that blind spots are now visible on the display of the radio.
VS41 key features include;
4-camera input (front, rear, and left and right side cameras)
Works with OE or aftermarket radios (OE requires interface)
Priority override for back-up camera signal
Connects directly to analog turn-signal circuit with flash eliminating signal buffer for uninterrupted side
camera activation
Provides back-up camera "reverse" trigger to aftermarket radio
The PAC VS41 is available now at authorized PAC retailers for a suggested retail price of $149.95.

RPK5-GM4101 Allows 2010-2015 Camaro Drivers to Upgrade Their Infotainment without Compromising the Look of Their Vehicle’s Interior
Clearwater, FL (September 6, 2016) -- PAC, a brand of AAMP Global, and a leading manufacturer of aftermarket OEM integrated solutions, introduced a new, fully integrated dash kit designed especially for 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaros.
The RPK5-GM4101 is designed to enhance functionality through aftermarket radio upgrades, without sacrificing the factory-look aesthetics of 2010-2015 Camaros. Supporting both single DIN and double DIN installations, the original rotary climate control knobs are kept in place, helping retain the original factory look and feel. Along with climate controls, the electronic interface module also retains other important functions from the original factory equipment such as steering wheel controls, OnStar functionality, and amplified sound.
Easy Installation for Professional Results
RPK5-GM4101 Integrated Installation Kit is especially designed for simple, straightforward installation. The kit comes complete with everything needed for installation, including integration harnesses, antenna adapter, steering wheel control interface, and the factory-match dash kit. For a full walkthrough of the installation process, view this video.
“With vehicles becoming more and more complex, our mission at PAC is to make upgrading vehicles less complicated, whether replacing your radio or any number of options,” explained Nathan Wincek, senior product manager of integration. “RPK5-GM4101 is specifically designed and engineered to interface seamlessly with 2010-2015 Camaro factory features. It takes little more than a few standard tools to follow the instructions in the installation manual, and installers don’t have to worry about making sure components are compatible. Everything is included in one box, and compatibility is guaranteed.”
RPK5-GM4101 is the first in an extensive line of integrated kit solutions PAC has planned for release. Giving drivers access to more robust infotainment options and larger screen sizes, without sacrificing their factory aesthetic or functionality of their vehicles.

Today’s audio and alarm installations can get extremely complicated, especially when multiple and complex triggers are necessary to accomplish certain tasks. To solve the issue, PAC has released the TR12 programmable trigger module.
The smart trigger device offers a total of eight inputs (four positive and four configurable as positive or negative) and four programmable outputs. Each output channel can be specified to generate a pulsed, latched, timed, actuator, ground, and positive 12 Volt trigger (with up to three amps of current) using a PC and the PAC application.
“The TR12 is going to be extremely handy for installers because it can resolve so many different types of installation issues,” said Nathan Wincek, product manager of integration products for AAMP Global. “With this, you’ll only need one device for initiating up to four triggers, and because it’s programmable, you can be creative in how it’s used.”
The TR12 can solve many common and custom installation issues, from timing out a device in a car to controlling small motors in a custom install. Alarm installs can also be simplified with its triggering benefits. Through the TR12 application on a computer, each of the four outputs can be customized, set for specific objectives and precisely controlled to specs and timing. Plus, users have the ability to save and load user defined configurations on a PC for quick programming of other modules. The TR12 comes pre-configured for common uses including settings for Pioneer, Alpine, and Clarion radios.
The PC application can be downloaded from the TR12 product page on pac-audio.com at no cost.
The PAC TR12 module is now available for a suggested retail price of $69.95.
