EDMOND, Okla. — Petra Industries, a leading brand in consumer electronics accessories, held Petra Partner Meetings on Tuesday May, 17 and Thursday May, 19 at their headquarters  in Edmond, Ok.

During two days of intensely focused meetings 48 vendor partners took the opportunity to meet with individual members of the Petra Sales teams to discuss business objectives and explore market opportunities. “The way Petra organizes and manages the meetings is extremely beneficial,” said Lorex Vice President, Steven Gold. “Petra’s sales team really understands their customers so we’re able to discover new opportunities in the market.”

Meetings with more than 25 of Petra’s top sales leaders were held in 20-minutes blocks to engage in meaningful dialog, exploring opportunities with Petra’s immense customer base and study new product lineups. “It’s a great way to get unfiltered feedback from the customer perspective,” said Intracom CEO Michael Thiel.  “Petra’s Partner Meetings help us gain a clear understanding of how our products are received and what we can do to our serve our customers better.”

This dedicated one-on-one time is mutually beneficial to Petra and their vendor partners as it gives each sales leader time to explain their accounts fit into the market and their merchandising plans.  “This was a great opportunity for our vendors to share product strategies with members of the sales team and our sales team to give insight into what our customers would like,” said Tate Morgan, Petra President. “This was our first Petra Partner meeting in 2016 and we’ve had incredible feedback and interest in another round of meetings planned for the fall.”

Petra Industries, a leading wholesale distributor of consumer electronics, wireless accessories, custom installation products, mobile audio/video accessories and appliance connection supplies, celebrated its 30th anniversary October 22 with a reception and ribbon cutting.

Thursday’s event began with a ribbon cutting of Petra’s newly acquired and renovated 525,000-square-foot warehouse. Ribbon cutting attendees included Petra Founder & CEO Bill Stewart, Petra President Tate Morgan, Edmond Chamber President and CEO Ken Moore, Edmond Economic Development Authority Executive Director Janet Yowell, Josh Attaway, Sharon Fitzpatrick, Autumn Everett, Charles Oliver, Steve Kasch, Rod Ferguson, Lissa Qualls and Joan Curtis.

Attendees were afforded the opportunity to see Petra’s new state-of-the-art warehouse facility featuring a new innovative warehouse management system. With the new system in place, Petra’s distribution center has more than doubled the capacity of its pick and pack operations.

After the ribbon cutting, guests were invited to a reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres and refreshments to celebrate this significant milestone. During a brief presentation, Stewart told the more than 300 attendees stories of the triumphs and difficulties he and his wife, Cindy, encountered as they launched the business from the garage of their home and how far they have come since then. Speaking with optimism about the future of Petra, he noted the significance of the warehouse expansion coinciding with its 30th anniversary.

“This warehouse is a game changer for Petra,” said Stewart. “No one in the business has the capabilities that this warehouse affords us, and the potential it has to help us grow is incredible.”

Petra President Tate Morgan said “Bill started this company with a vision to build a business on a foundation of service, integrity and value for customers that would adapt and change at the same rapid pace as our industry,” For this reason Morgan presented the Stewarts with a statue replicating The Guardian monument atop the Oklahoma State Capitol. EDMOND, Okla. — Petra Industries, an accessory manufacturer, has announced the appointment of Robin Waters on as Vice-President of Finance.

In October 2015 Waters joined Petra as the Director of Finance and brought with her years of experience in senior finance positions including an extensive financial background and has shown steady leadership throughout her departments. In her new role as Vice-President she is responsible for providing leadership to Petra’s various departments within finance including: accounting, finance, budget processes, multi-state sales and use tax and credit underwriting. 

“Robin has an excellent track record of building teams and working across departments to meet financial objectives,” said Patrick Jones, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Petra Industries.  “We believe Robin is ideally suited to provide the leadership needed to support the long term growth of Petra”.

Waters graduated from East Central University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and from Oklahoma City University with a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Finance.  Waters is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the state of Oklahoma.
