Coral Springs, Fla. -- October 29, 2019 -- NAV-TV Corp., a leading innovator and manufacturer of OEM integration and safety products for the automotive aftermarket, announces the ZEN-AVB-GM preamplifier. The ZEN-AVB-GM is the newest addition to the competition- proven ZEN Audio family of digital preamplifiers and is the first aftermarket automotive product utilizing AVB.
The ZEN-AVB-GM is compatible with 2017 to 2020 Cadillac, Chevrolet and GM vehicles equipped with AVB infotainment radios IOT (8” with navigation) or IOS (8” without navigation) and Bose®. The preamplifier produces a completely flat audio output without any factory time delay or equalization, eliminating the need for summing devices, an audio correction DSP or the removal of the factory audio compensation microphones. Volume, Fade [1] and Balance are supported through the factory radio and steering wheel controls.
Utilizing a 128 bit per channel floating point DSP and 192 kHz 32 bit TI (Burr-Brown) DAC, the ZEN-AVB-GM produces a 6 channel analog output (Front L/R, Rear L/R, Sub and Center) with a peak voltage of 6.3V and a S/N Ratio of 112dB. All warning chimes and audible turn signal indications are attenuated to factory levels and, along with Onstar®, Navigation prompts and Bluetooth, are passed to the front output channels [2], eliminating the need for an external speaker. The unit provides a 500mA output for controlling aftermarket devices and, additionally, retains the factory three band equalizer (high, mid and bass).
For use with third party digital sound processors [3], the ZEN-AVB-GM includes a variable Toslink (optical) digital output which may be used simultaneously with the analog outputs, or by itself. The variable digital output allows for the system volume to be controlled via the factory radio and steering wheel controls without the need to access any third party controller.
For ease of use, the ZEN-AVB-GM is configurable through dip switch settings. User selectable features of the ZEN-AVB-GM are:
· Factory Bass control becomes a Subwoofer Level Controller or Controls Bass for the entire system (Analog output only) – eliminates the need for a sub control knob!
· Loudness control for extended bass response at low levels or loudness off (Analog output only)
· Selectable output level: 0dB or -6dB. Digital Output at 24 bit 48 kHz.
In order to make the Zen Audio compatibility process simple for General Motors vehicles, NAV-TV has produced a short video that will help qualify the vehicle infotainment system to ensure compatibility using a QR code reader. Vehicles with infotainment options IOT or IOS and Bose utilize the ZEN-AVB-GM and those with infotainment options IO4, IO5 or IO6 and Bose utilize the M650-GM. The video may be viewed at https://youtu.be/YMHfpRytPho.

June 12, 2019 -- Coral Springs, Fla. and Seoul, South Korea -- Three seconds is not a long time; it’s about the time it takes the average individual to inhale and exhale. However, in a vehicle traveling at highway speeds, it’s enough time for your vehicle to cover 330 feet.
According to the National Highway Transportation Safety Association (NHTSA), which has collected data from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, 37,461 lives were lost on U.S. roads in 2016, an increase of 5.6 percent from calendar year 2015. 1 It is estimated that 94% of all accidents are caused by driver error and nearly 80 percent of crashes involved some form of driver distraction within three seconds before the incident. Therefore, it begs to reason that a driver who is distracted for as little as 3 seconds exponentially increases their chances of an otherwise avoidable collision.
To combat distracted driving and correct negative driving habits, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) have been deployed by almost every modern automotive vehicle manufacturer today. ADAS systems work by warning the driver of an unintentional lane change, following a vehicle in front of them too closely, a pedestrian in the path of the vehicle or a sudden and unexpected change in the flow of traffic ahead. However, ADAS is not available in every new vehicle model and, with the average age of vehicles in the United States reaching 11.8 years old in 2019, tens of millions of cars on U.S. roadways do not have the benefit of ADAS technology.
In order to add life-saving technology to the millions of vehicles globally without ADAS, NAV-TV Corp®, has partnered with South Korean Tier-1 ADAS supplier Movon to launch the MDAS-9. The MDAS-9 is a commercial-grade aftermarket advanced driver assistance system with the added benefit of a built-in digital video recorder (DVR). The system is universal and may be installed on passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles or heavy equipment alike and operates on both 12 and 24 Volt DC charging systems.
Unlike other aftermarket ADAS systems, the MDAS-9 requires no special calibration or alignment aids, making the installation simple and fast. Vehicle speed, turn signal and brake information are obtained either through CAN, analog inputs, or a combination of the two. The included inductive CAN interface allows the vehicle data to be read without modifying the vehicle wiring or voiding the warranty.
Utilizing both audible and visual alerts, the MDAS-9 monitors and records the road ahead and alerts the driver to changing road patterns or potentially hazardous driving habits. Alerts of the MDAS-9 include:
Forward Collision Warning (FCW): Assists the driver in maintaining a safe distance to vehicles ahead. Provides the driver with a distance to the vehicle ahead and gives an audible and visual warning if a potential collision is identified
Lane Departure Warning (LDW): Alerts the driver with an audible and visual warning if a lane departure is identified without the driver using their turn signals. This enables the driver to quickly correct potentially unsafe or unintentional lane changes.
Pedestrian Collision Warning (PCW): Warns the driver by sending out an audible and visual alert whenever a pedestrian, bicyclist or motorcycle is identified. Alerts are active from 0-24 mph.
Forward Proximity Warning (FPW): Identifies vehicles ahead during low speed operation. The FPW features alerts the driver when it detects a vehicle ahead at low speeds. The distance is configurable from 4’ to 10’ and speed can be configured from 0-18 mph.
Front Vehicle Start Alarm (FVSA): Notifies the driver if the vehicle ahead moves forward from a complete stop yet the driver does not move forward after 2 seconds. This feature helps to avoid driver distraction at stop sign and stop lights.
Digital Video Recorder (DVR): Records HD video of the road ahead and displays the video with all ADAS warnings and alerts upon playback. Supports loop recording to the on-board SD card every minute. With the optional driver facing or rear view camera, the driver or rear of the vehicle is displayed in a picture-in-picture mode along with the front camera and all ADAS warnings and alerts. The on-board DVR is compatible with micro SD cards up to 128 GB.
The MDAS-9 comes standard with a composite video output which can be used to display the front camera image on a vehicle-specific NAV-TV video integration device, a hidden external DVR or video streaming device, an aftermarket radio or monitor. The optional haptic vibration alert device provides an additional layer of protection by adding a vibration alert to the driver’s seat, seatbelt or steering column. For use in older vehicles, or vehicles that utilize a mechanical speedometer, vehicle speed information may be obtained from the available GPS Antenna.
For fleets and commercial applications that may desire immediate notification of alerts, the MDAS-9 is compatible with third party asset allocation systems. The on-board Fleet Management System (FMS) port delivers digital communication of an alert, the frequency of an alert, and the time of the alert to the third party device which is then transmitted through cellular data to the fleet manager or responsible party. Currently supported third party asset allocation devices include Geotab, Servision,Traffilog and Ituran.
A video presentation of the MDAS-9, as well as a sneak peek of the upcoming MDSM-7 distracted driver alerts system, may be viewed HERE.
The MDAS-9 is exclusively available in the USA and Canada through authorized NAV-TV dealers. June 10, 2020 -- Coral Springs, Florida -- NAV-TV Corp., a leading innovator and manufacturer of OEM integration and safety products for the automotive aftermarket, announces the ZEN-25 preamplifier interface for select 2004 to 2019 BMW vehicles with M.O.S.T.® 25 factory amplified sound systems.
Traditional audio integration devices convert a high- level output from the factory radio or amplifier to low- level, or manipulate a fixed preamp level audio signal. However, this method relies on the factory radio or amplifier to perform the digital to analog conversion (D/A) and may lead to less than ideal sound quality. Unlike traditional devices, the ZEN-25 for BMW extracts the audio directly from the M.O.S.T.® 25 digital audio stream and performs the D/A conversion internally. Utilizing a 32 bit floating point DSP and 44.1kHz 32 bit DAC, the ZEN-25 produces a 12 channel analog output at 17 volts peak-to-peak with an extremely low noise floor and a S/N Ratio of 114dB.
Utilizing the same processing power as NAV-TV’s competition-proven M650-GM, the ZEN-25 produces a completely flat audio output without any factory time delay or equalization, eliminating the need for summing devices, an audio correction DSP or the removal of the factory audio compensation microphones. Volume, Fade[1], Balance, Bass/Treble and the factory 7-band EQ are retained through the BMW factory radio and echo cancellation for the factory phone system is supported.
To maximize system flexibility, the ZEN-25 comes standard with a software suite that allows the user to assign warning chimes and phone audio to any channel they desire. The chime and phone volume are adjustable per channel and are independent from the audio stream. For use in BMW systems where a DSP is not installed, the ZEN-25 contains two different time alignment settings that can be selected through the factory Logic 7 button. This allows the user to assign two different optimum listening positions in the vehicle and, combined with the factory 7-band EQ, offers the user greater system tuning flexibility, at an affordable price.
For use with third-party digital sound processors[2], the ZEN-25 includes a variable TOSlink digital output which may be used simultaneously with the analog outputs, or by itself. For use with processors that support simultaneous TOSlink and analog audio inputs, the ZEN-25 allows the user to strip audio from any analog output, assign the TOSlink to either Front Fading or fixed, and to use the analog outputs to only mix in warning chimes. The variable digital output allows for the system volume to be controlled via the factory radio and steering wheel controls without the need to access any third-party controller.
In BMW vehicles that have the ability to play a DVD movie, The ZEN-25 supports Dolby® and DTS® 5.1 playback[3]. For system designs that do not include a center channel speaker, NAV-TV has enabled a “mix down” feature that puts the vocals in a Dolby or DTS encoded audio stream into the left and right front speakers while maintaining stereo separation.
The ZEN-25 (NTV-KIT969) for BMW is available and shipping now. For more information on the ZEN-25, or to place an order, please contact your NAV-TV sales representative at (866) 477-3336 (USA and Canada toll free) or +1(561) 955-9770 (International), or email our sales staff at This email address is being protected from spambots. The unit provides a 500mA output for controlling aftermarket devices and, additionally, retains the factory equalizer.
For use with 3rd party digital sound processors[3], the ZEN-M includes a variable TOSlink digital output which may be used simultaneously with the analog outputs, or by itself. The variable digital output allows for the system volume to be controlled via the factory radio and steering wheel controls without the need to access any 3rd party controller.
The ZEN-M currently supports the following Mercedes Benz models with NTG5, NTG5*1, NTG5*2 and NTG5*5 infotainment platforms:

Introduces ZEN-A2B Advanced Amplifier Interface for Ford and Lincoln Vehicles with Bang & Olufsen®, Revel® and Revel Ultima® Sound Systems
05/03/2018 - Coral Springs, Florida - NAV-TV Corp., a leading innovator and manufacturer of OEM integration and safety products for the automotive aftermarket, announces the ZEN-A2B amplifier interface for select Ford and Lincoln vehicles with the Bang & Olufsen®, Revel® and Revel Ultima® Sound Systems.
Ford and Lincoln’s new Premium Sound Systems use Automotive Audio Bus® (A2B)[1] digital audio bus technology, which delivers high fidelity audio for automobiles while significantly reducing weight. A2B is a high bandwidth (50 Mbps) digital bus capable of transferring audio and control data with clock and power using a single, 2-wire, unshielded, twisted pair cable over distances up to 32 feet (10 meters) between devices. It supports multiple microphone arrays in vehicles to enable applications such as voice recognition, active noise cancellation, and in-car communications. However, due to the complex nature of A2B audio systems, vehicles utilizing the technology have been difficult to integrate with, leading to poor sound quality, reoccurring come backs and customer dissatisfaction.
NAV-TV is proud to announce that there is now a solution for A2B audio integration! The ZEN-A2B allows the seamless addition of aftermarket amplifiers into compatible vehicles, delivering audiophile-quality sound without compromising the vehicle’s factory fit, finish or features.
Utilizing the same processing power as NAV-TV’s competition proven M650-GM, the ZEN-A2B produces a completely flat audio output without any factory time delay or equalization, eliminating the need for summing devices, an audio correction DSP or the removal of the factory audio compensation microphones. Volume, Fade[2], Balance and Bass/Treble tone controls are retained through the factory radio and echo cancellation for the factory Bluetooth hands-free system is supported.
Traditional audio integration devices convert a high level output from the factory radio or amplifier to low level, or manipulate a fixed preamp level audio signal. However, this method relies on the factory radio or amplifier to perform the digital to analog conversion (D/A) and may lead to less than ideal sound quality. Unlike traditional devices, the ZEN-A2B extracts the audio directly from the A2B digital audio stream and performs the D/A conversion internally. Utilizing a 128 bit floating point DSP and 384 kHz 32 bit DAC, the ZEN-A2B produces a 12 channel analog output with an extremely low noise floor and a S/N Ratio of 114dB.
For use with 3rd party digital sound processors[2], the ZEN-A2B includes a variable TOSlink digital output which may be used simultaneously with the analog outputs, or by itself. The variable digital output allows for the system volume to be controlled via the factory radio and steering wheel controls without the need to access any 3rd party controller.
For ease of use, the ZEN-A2B is configurable through dip switch settings. User selectable features of the ZEN-A2B are:
- Full scale audio or -12dB attenuation
- Loudness on or off
Pre-orders of the ZEN-A2B (NTV-KIT873) are being accepted now with a shipping date of May 15th, 2018. August 1, 2019 -- Coral Springs, Fla. and St. Petersburg, Russia -- NAV-TV Corp® has partnered with Author Alarm, a leading developer of CAN based vehicle security, convenience and comfort products, to provide exclusive distribution and support for Author Alarm products in the USA. The Companies will be debuting the entire Author Alarm lineup this month during the Dallas, Texas KnowledgeFest event in booths 443 and 843.
Author Alarm products are vehicle agnostic and are flashed with vehicle-specific software upon installation. This allows the authorized dealer to stock less inventory, yet cover a wide range of vehicles at the same time.
OBD Block:
OBD BLOCK is designed to protect the OBD-II diagnostic connector from unauthorized access, additional key programming or digitally disarming the factory vehicle alarm and immobilizer system. Deactivation is achieved using a user programmable PIN-code that is entered using the vehicles factory buttons.
KEYLESS BLOCK:
KEYLESS BLOCK disables the factory passive keyless entry system if there is no key fob or smartphone next to the car. When a key fob or smart phone is within 30 feet the car, the regular Keyless system is activated and keyless access for the owner is restored.
COMFORT:
The COMFORT system uses the vehicle CAN bus to automatically close the car windows, closes the hatch and fold the mirrors. Folding of mirrors and a hatch depends on the car and its factory features.
“Car thefts in the United States have been rising each year since 2015, especially amongst push-to-start automobiles," said Derek Schmiedl, NAV-TV Vice President. "Modern vehicle owners have a false sense of security and believe that the factory security system is sufficient to deter theft. Unfortunately, the technology they believe will keep their car safe actually makes it incredibly easy to steal. We are excited to have the opportunity to introduce Author Alarm’s universal security and convenience products to our USA dealers and are confident that they will appreciate the ability to again be profitable in the automotive security category."

March 11, 2020 - Coral Springs, Fla. and Rocky Mount, NC -- NAV-TV Corp., a leading innovator and manufacturer of OEM integration and safety products for the automotive aftermarket, and Kaba Ilco Corp., the largest US-based manufacturer of key blanks and remote transponders for the automotive aftermarket, announce that they have entered into a strategic partnership.
Under the partnership, authorized NAV-TV dealers will have access to the complete line of Kaba Ilco automotive Futura key cutting and duplicating machines, Keyfob programming units, Key Blanks, and Look-Alike® Remotes, enabling US-based 12 Volt Retailers with the ability to cut, program and clone automotive key fobs and remote controls.
“This opportunity opens up a completely new category for 12-volt retailers,” said NAV-TV Account Executive, Richard Flynn. “Not only does this provide NAV-TV dealers with a new profit center, but it will help to drive customers into their stores that would otherwise not be exposed to what our industry has to offer.”
Ilco and NAV-TV have been running test markets with select NAV-TV dealers since December 2019. Vik Moolchandani, General Manager of Long Island, NY based Avenue Sound, said, “We brought the Ilco system into our Patchogue location in December of last year and have had tremendous success with the product. We are seeing attachment sales of the key fobs to existing customer tickets, as well as increased foot traffic as a direct result of the category. The key fob programming and key cutting services have opened up a new, high-profit revue stream for us and we will be adding an additional Ilco system at our Freeport location soon.”
Setup and product training is provided at no additional charge and attractive equipment financing and lease options are available. For dealers that may have an existing key cutting machine and/or key fob programmers, the Ilco key blanks and look-alike remotes may be ordered a-la-cart. According to Ilco, their products are not affected by the coronavirus parts availability shortage, and their products may be directly substituted for competing products that may be in limited availability.
“Our new partnership with NAV-TV has not only opened our eyes to a brand new channel, but has provided exposure to a new information stream that will no doubt help us in the development of new products,” said Kaba Ilco Account Manager, Jeff Brown. “We are excited and look forward to the future of our partnership.”
NAV-TV representative Phil Chartier and Ilco’s Jeff Brown will be visiting NAV-TV dealers with the Ilco demonstration van throughout the New England and New York area during late April and early May, with additional territories to be announced shortly. Daytona Beach, Fla. -- March 5, 2019 -- Daytona Beach Bike Week is almost here and motorcycle enthusiasts from around the country are dusting off their bikes in preparation for the upcoming event. Besides a tune up, a few last minute customizations and a good detailing, many Harley owners are flocking to their local audio specialist to upgrade their stereo system.
According to Peter Jensen, owner of Soundz, Inc. located in Daytona Beach, “One of the most popular requests has been to add Apple Carplay® to 2014 to 2018 Harleys. Harley Davidson® introduced the GTS radio with Carplay® in 2019 and customers with older bikes are looking for a way to retrofit them. Unfortunately, the GTS radio will not work in the 2014 to 2016 models at all, and the 2017-2018 models require first changing out the ECM, BCM, ABS module and instrument cluster to 2019 model year equipment. These parts are about $2,000.00 alone and take about 5 hours to install and code properly; and that does not include the $1899.00 additional cost of the GTS radio. Plus, the retrofitted 2019 ABS module throws codes which could become problematic, or even affect the factory warranty. We knew we had to find a way to offer our clients a seamless GTS radio retrofit and reached out to NAV-TV for help.”
After months of product development, NAV-TV® and Soundz are pleased to announce the release of the SC-GTSi head unit replacement interface for 2014 to 2018 Harley Davidson® motorcycles. The SC-GTSi, offered exclusively through Soundz, is a plug-and-play interface that allows the 2019 GTS radio with Apple Carplay® to be seamlessly installed into 2014 to 2018 motorcycles. The interface requires no control unit replacement, no coding and does not affect the factory warranty. The module is transparent to both the factory Harley Davidson® and Techno Research® diagnostic, troubleshooting and tuning computer systems. In addition, all factory functions of the radio and motorcycle are retained.
The SC-GTSi is available at an MSRP of $449.99, including a plug-and-play T-harness to integrate with the factory wiring and a mounting bracket for the interface. For a complete turn-key solution, Soundz also offers a package that includes the GTS Radio with Carplay®, model specific coding for the radio, the SC-GTSi interface, T-harness and mounting bracket for $2,348.99.
The SC-GTSi interface is compatible with the following Model and Year Harley Davidson® Motorcycles:
