Highlights for CES will include more motorcycle and powersports products, next-generation DSP products and radio replacement interfaces from Axxess®, and 34 new dashboard kits from Metra’s TurboKits®, Turbo2 Kits® and TurboTactile™ product lines. 

Saddle Tramp® will introduce new motorcycle audio accessories including amplifier mounts, saddlebag lids, lower fairings and speaker adapters. Premium Dash Kits for Ford Edge 2015 and up* and Lexus RX300 1999 - 2003

Holly Hill, FL - January 3, 2018 – Metra Electronics® is debuting three new premium dashboard kits with integrated electronics that will join the TurboTouch™ Kit product line in 2018. These new kits will be featured in a working display at CES booth #5211 in the North Hall.

The 99-5851CH is for Ford Edge 2015 and up models with the factory 4.2-inch screen. This versatile design with multiple panels allows for installation of the radio or touchscreen in the upper or lower area of the kit. The 99-5851CH has an integrated hazard button and passenger airbag indicator. It is painted to match the factory appearance and is anticipated to begin shipping in spring of 2018.

The 99-8164B is for Lexus RX300 1999 - 2003 models. This kit is custom textured and painted to match the factory finish, and also available in a tan finish as the 99-8164T. Both of these TurboTouch kits are anticipated to begin shipping in the summer of 2018.

Metra’s TurboTouch Kits feature an integrated 4.3” touchscreen and user interface that retains and controls most of the climate and vehicle customization functions that are normally lost when removing the factory radio. Their smart interface technology automatically detects the vehicle’s features. Steering wheel functionality is retained and the patent-pending touchscreen design also retains the factory safety features, including backup camera. TurboTouch™ Kits feature 8 backlit buttons with more than 250 customizable color options, with parts included for Single-DIN and Double-DIN radio installations. Holly Hill, Fla. – January 02, 2020 – As the size and fit of new radios continues to evolve, Metra Electronics® is launching a new 107 Series of dash kits designed specifically to fit most shallow mount receivers with a 7” screen. The new 107 Series allows installers to seamlessly replace headunits that do not fit the standard aftermarket Single-DIN or Double-DIN size. These kits feature a patent-pending design that will work with receivers like the Alpine iLX-W650*, with special brackets included for installation of the Pioneer DMH-C2550NEX and DMHC2500NEX 6.8” touchscreen in-dash receivers. They will also fit most compact shallow mount 7” screen receivers with minor or no dashboard modifications, making for a more cost-effective installation process for these vehicles with restricted space in their dashboards.

The 107-GM4B plastic TurboKit is designed to fit 2019-up** Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 models and 2020-up** Silverado and Sierra 2500 and 3500 models. It includes a blank out plate to replace the factory radio control buttons. The 107-CH3B is designed for Jeep Wrangler JL 2018-up** and Jeep Gladiator 2020-up** models and the 107-GM3B is designed for Chevrolet Camaro 2016-2020 models. A Turbo2 Kit®, the 107-GM5B, designed for Cadillac SRX 2010-2012 models is also being released with new technology. This kit features an integrated OLED screen to retain the climate control information display and the trim panel retains the use of the factory climate control buttons.

High-Voltage Active Line Output Converters (LOCs)

These new LOCs have universal applications and enable installers to add aftermarket amplifiers to OEM source units to make factory systems sound great! This premium line showcases Proscenium’s focus on quality by featuring incredible input power capabilities, a load selector, a clip indicator, enhanced output controls, and noise isolation countermeasures. Proscenium will also offer an add-on product, the PR-RM-1, that plugs into their Pro Series and LD Series LOC products to provide an additional subwoofer level adjustment via an external bass knob. Premium Active LOCs with Bass Restoration:

Proscenium’s PR-BXLOC2 and PR-BXLOC2-PRO are compact 2-channel line output converters with active input circuitry, which allows them to accept speaker-level signals of up to 400 watts per channel from factory-installed source units or amplifiers. They convert them to high-quality preamp signals that can then be directed to aftermarket amplifiers.

The PR-BXLOC2 prevents factory audio systems from regulating lower frequencies and reducing the output of bass frequencies as the volume increases. A Bass-X restoration circuit in the LOC allows users to enjoy their music as it was recorded while maintaining the use of factory volume and steering wheel controls. The PR-BXLOC2-PRO includes all of these features, plus a ground isolation switch, multiple turn on modes, and built-in load resistors for use with factory radios or amplifiers that mute the audio signal when factory speakers are disconnected.

Premium Load Resistors

Proscenium's load resistors will solve common problems for installers adding aftermarket equipment while providing the best possible audio signal. For example, factory audio systems in modern vehicles are designed to mute the radio and/or amplifier output should a speaker fail or get disconnected. Proscenium load resistors prevent this so that installers can add aftermarket equipment. These products use specific values to allow for the best possible audio signal and safely stabilize the output of a factory audio system. The PR-LR product line will be available soon in 20-ohm, 39-ohm, or 60-ohm options to fit a variety of vehicles, such as select late-model Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, RAM, and Fiat models.

The 107-UN02 is a universal floating mount engineered exclusively for the Pioneer Modular Solutions DMH-C2500NEX and DMH-C2500NEX 6.8-inch touchscreen in-dash receivers*. The 107-UN02 is designed to "float" the modular Pioneer touchscreen display panel in front of a vehicle's original radio location using a series of included brackets, plus provide the ability to easily mount the Pioneer hide-away chassis into the radio/pocket location of more than 250 existing Metra Double-DIN kits for 1990 to current vehicle applications. This patent-pending solution completely encases the touchscreen display panel and works similar to Metra’s existing 108-UN02 and 109-UN02 floating mount kits for Pioneer. A vehicle-specific Double-DIN Metra dash kit, sold separately, is required for use with the 107-UN02.

Two new dash kits for 2011-2016 Mini Countryman and Mini Paceman models without the factory navigation are also in stock and shipping. The 107-MI1 is designed specifically for the 6.8-inch modular Pioneer receivers, the DMH-C2550NEX and DMH-C2500NEX*. The 108-MI1 is designed specifically for the Pioneer 8-inch DMH-C550NEX modular receiver*. Since there is limited space within the vehicle’s dashboard that is too small to fit a standard Double-DIN radio, Metra has solved this obstacle by utilizing the same design from the 107-UN02 to “float” the Pioneer touchscreen in the factory radio location. Both kits include a blank-out for the factory radio controls that are removed from the upper panel and have a patent-pending design. The high polished processing on these kits provides a look that’s similar to both the aftermarket radio and the vehicle’s factory finish.

Also available from Metra is the 95-7020 dash kit. This kit is for an ISO Double-DIN radio provision and designed to fit 2018-2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross ES models. It has high polished processing to give a gloss plastic look to match both the aftermarket radio and factory finish.

The 99-7638 dash kit is for a Single-DIN radio provision with a pocket while the 95-7638 is designed for specific Double-DIN modular radios. The 95-7638 fits radios which have an “L” shaped chassis design with the radio chassis at the bottom of the screen, like the Alpine iLX-207**. This kit is also compatible with Pioneer’s 6.8” modular radios and has special brackets included for installation of the Pioneer DMH-C2550NEX and DMH-C2500NEX touchscreen in-dash receivers**. Both of these dash kits are painted with a gloss black face, silver trim, and textured housing to match the factory finish. They are made in the U.S.A. and available now from Metra Electronics.

Holly Hill, Fla. – November 19, 2020 – Metra Electronics®, the leading manufacturer of aftermarket automotive solutions, has added four new color options for the DP-3002 dash panel. The DP-3002 dash panels are designed for 1999-2002 full-sized GM trucks and SUVs, including Chevrolet’s Avalance, Silverado, Suburban, and Tahoe, along with GMC’s Sierra and Yukon*. This large panel replaces the factory dash panel and provides the space for a modern Double-DIN radio. The climate controls are moved slightly and by using this dash panel and trim plate, no custom fabrication work is required.

The original DP-3002B dash panel was first introduced in matte black, but will now include a textured black, gray, pewter, and shale color option to match the factory appearance. The DP-3002 dash panels are made in the U.S.A. and available now from Metra Electronics in the following options:
