The Industry's #1 Resource

The DocuCast is Titled “The Touch Alpine… 1st 15 Years” … available for streaming 12/12/25.

On-Board Engineering & Sales Inc., is ready to launch The Alpine Touch… 1st 15 year DocuCast”. The DocuCast (Pod-Cast presented in a Documentary format) will address Alpine Electronics of America’s first fifteen years of operation in the United States. “We’re going to share brand introduction details of how Alpine’s US based founding team was able to establish the framework onto which Alpine was able to grow”. Included will be historical facts focusing on three specific periods. Episode 1 will address the brand introduction in 1979, and follow key milestones until 1985. Episode 2 will do the same, but for 1986 to 1990. The final Episode will conclude the 15 Year journey ending in 1994.

Dave Black, former EVP and Alpine Board Member, along with Rich Coe former Asst VP of Technology, will be sharing their thoughts and stories regarding Marketing, Sales, Distribution and, of course, Product Development & Engineering. The stories will be shared from an “inside” perspective. Most of which have never been exposed. Rich and I promise many “AH HA” moments, successes and of course a few failures. We also will talk about Alpines co-branding relationship with Lamborghini, and how it helped establish Alpine’s branding is the USA. Additionally, will be sharing stories about how many of Alpine’s incredible products were conceived. The stories are powerful, and in some cases simply unbelievable. The fact that they come from the “inside the boardroom” is a rare opportunity to those who have an interest. In essence, “it’s A 15 year time capsule that’s almost 50 years old”, said Black. OBES developed a website to host the DocuCast and the Social Media expected. www.thealpinetouch.com

To help in the DocuCast celebration, OBES was granted permission from Alpine and Lamborghini to remaster 4 Iconic co-branding posters and offer them in an limited edition collect set for Alpine enthusiasts. Because this was such an extraordinary situation, OBES set an extremely high standard for the remastering process. In fact OBES was able to secure the support from Hahnemühle Paper Company, a 440 year old German paper manufacturer. Together OBES and Hahnemühle designers chose Hahnemühle Photo-Rag Metallic especially formulated for Fine-Art use. It’s a 100% cotton Paper with optical brighteners and is specified to last for 100+years.

Jan Wolfe, Hahnemühle’s President and CEO, stated that Alpine/Lamborghini visual reproductions deserve the investment. The remastered Fine-Art prints are simply extraordinary.

On-Board Engineering & Sales Inc., will to produce a limited quantity of Collector sets in two sizes. One for in home and the other for use where larger wall space is available. All prints are serialized and supported by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Alpine Management team from that era. Black said “We plan to support the collector sets until they are sold out”. OBES has no plans to reproduce them once they are gone. In fact, to help protect the Collector Print owners investment, “we will destroy the remastering IP” said Black. Confidential 12/12/2025
