Morel launches the new Virtus Nano component system developed as an ultra-slim mount, high fidelity solution for where space is limited.

Whether you’re retrofitting a classic car or updating the audio in a new vehicle, fitting conventional aftermarket speakers can be troublesome.

“Space is a premium resource in all car audio installation environments. We are well aware of this and decided to take up the challenge,” says Oren Mordechai, Executive vice president and head of R&D team. “Our R&D team spent over two years tweaking the design so that the new Virtus Nano would be a true performer, producing a full and coherent musical presentation that represent the virtues of the Virtus line,“ he concludes.

With a maximum mounting depth of 17mm (0.67”), the Virtus Nano is the shallowest component speaker system in car audio. It leverages Morel’s craftsmanship and engineering technology with the employment of some of Morel’s renowned traits along with some new ones.

The Nano woofer incorporates a large 2.1-inch (54mm) diameter Hexatech™ aluminum External Voice Coil (EVC™) and neodymium magnetic system enabling high power handling and superior resolution. Its convex shaped composite paper cone provides superb results on and off axis while giving the Nano that dynamic response expected of the Virtus line.

The Virtus Nano 2-way component systems combine the Nano woofer with Morel’s legendary 1.1” Acuflex™ soft dome tweeters and MXR crossover technology to set the standard of how ultra-slim speakers should sound and perform.

The company is at the 2016 CES show Venetian suite 30-112 – 6-9 January, Las Vegas, NV, USA
