Latest interface adapter creates opportunity for dealers while improving sound quality for consumers

Seattle, WA, February 2nd, 2017 – AudioControl (audiocontrol.com) has unveiled the AC-LGD load generating device and signal stabilizer—an OEM interface solution engineered for vehicles using factory class D amplification.

An increasing number of factory automotive sound systems utilize Class D amplifier technology, which can mute, distort or emit damaging frequencies to aftermarket audio equipment once the factory speakers have been removed. AudioControl engineers have created an interface solution by carefully selecting premium-grade resistors and a Zobel Network to generate the required resistance, stabilizing the signal and making it compatible with aftermarket components such as AudioControl processors and amplifiers.

The AC LGDs come in pairs and can be easily connected to AudioControl or other factory system upgrade products using the supplied pre-wired connectors. Each LGD pair comes with standard wire colors for front and rear connections.

The AC LGD is available now from AudioControl with an MSRP of $39.95.

The ACR-U audiophile-grade level control is ideal for countless applications including OEM system upgrades, subwoofer level adjustment, zone volume control for marine installations, and more

Seattle, Wash., February 16th, 2022 –AudioControl (audiocontrol.com) has introduced the ACR-U universal volume control, the ultimate premium performance, highly-durable level control that will improve the performance and user experience for OEM audio upgrades, classic car entertainment systems, marine audio installations and more.

Introducing The ACR-U Universal Volume Control

The ACR-U is a passive control (requires no power) and takes RCA audio inputs into a compact receiver that connects to the volume control via standard Ethernet cable for wire runs up to four hundred feet with zero loss—ideal for luxury yachts and other large-scale projects. An ideal solution for a great many applications, the ACR-U delivers flat response even in the bass region, not suffering from extraneous noise, voltage drop or premature roll-off that plague lower quality solutions. Users will appreciate that the ACR-U is a linear control, offering a smooth, even increase/decrease in output with the rotation of the knob. The ACR-U has been conformal coated for durability against the elements and comes complete with a standard-length Ethernet cable. An optional extended-length Ethernet cable is available. The AudioControl ACR-U is available now and shipping to dealers.

shipping in AudioControl's NEW Espresso Black finish.

Seattle, WA, February 2nd, 2017 – AudioControl (audiocontrol.com) has promoted Chris Bennett to National Sales Director - Mobile Audio. Bennett’s expanded role will enable him to oversee the North American sales channel as increased demand for the company’s best-in-class OEM interface solutions and DSP-powered processors and amplifiers has resulted in significant growth for the AudioControl brand.

AudioControl’s continued success in the aftermarket car audio category can be attributed to innovations that directly address consumer demand, such as OEM upgrade solutions and DSP calibration capability, enabling dealers to give their customers superior sound—even in cars where changing the factory radio is prohibitive. “Our engineers have created solutions such as our proprietary patented AccuBASS® circuit, our MILC™ level-matching technology and our GTO™ signal sensing circuit that help installers overcome OEM integration hurdles to deliver the finest possible sound to their customers,” explained AudioControl CEO Alex Camara. “These advances have led to significant growth for the AudioControl brand and we are confident that Chris and our team will continue to push forward on our exciting and innovative product and sales strategy in mobile audio with great success.”

At the 2017 CES show in Las Vegas, AudioControl unveiled two new 6-channel amplifiers, the LC-6.1200 and the D-6.1200, featuring high-current output and a solid one-piece aluminum chassis. Both amplifiers deliver 125 watts into 4 ohms/200 watts into 2 ohms and 400 watts bridged into 4 ohms. Each pair of channels is bridgeable, giving installers unprecedented flexibility from a single amplifier. The flagship D-6.1200 adds advanced DSP functionality for precise fine-tuning. Innovations such as input summing have 12-volt installers worldwide turning to AudioControl as their premium aftermarket car audio solutions provider. All AudioControl automotive amplifiers are designed and assembled in the USA from components sourced globally and come with a 5-year warranty.

“I am excited to be part of the AudioControl team, focused on pushing ahead with a forward-looking mobile audio growth plan as the company’s National Sales Director,” commented Chris Bennett. “We offer solutions that enable our dealers to be creative in their system designs and differentiate themselves from competitors with superior products that transform the entertainment experience in todays’ car audio systems.”

AudioControl Showcases New 5-Channel Amplifiers

Two new 5-channel amplifiers from AudioControl both offer 125 watts X4-channels RMS at 4-Ohm (200watts RMS X4 at 2-Ohm) and 500 watts X1-channel at 2-Ohm along with eight speaker level inputs with selectable summing capability. The D-5.1300 delivers onboard DSP control of all amplified outputs and a pair of low-level outputs as well. The DSP interface is managed by the highly intuitive DM Smart App designed for all of AudioControl’s DSP amplifiers. OEM integration with two new Load Generating Devices (LGD)

Most new vehicles use a class D amplifier platform in their factory sound systems. These amplifiers can become unstable when they are connected to aftermarket audio equipment, causing system noise and overall compatibility issues. In order to maximize the upgrade opportunity for 12-volt retailers, AudioControl engineers created the LGD series of solutions, which seamlessly interfaces these newer OEM systems with aftermarket amplifiers. The AudioControl AC-LGD20 was designed specifically for Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Maserati audio systems without an amplifier. The AC-LGD60 provides interface capability for these same vehicles that feature audio systems with an amplifier.

DM-RTA

The AudioControl DM-RTA is a sophisticated yet compact audio analyzer containing powerful analysis software designed to provide installers with the features of a fully functioning Oscilloscope, Voltage Meter, Real Time Audio Analyzer (RTA), SPL Meter and Polarity Checker. Because installers are often on-the-go and in cramped spaces when building a car audio system, the DM-RTA was designed to be light weight, compact and durable. Input/output options are staggering, including balanced XLR inputs, phono and RCA style unbalanced inputs as well as speaker level inputs designed to make OEM audio system interface a snap. Digital audio output options include Optical, COAX and USB. The DM-RTA is powered by a 5-hour rechargeable battery so that it can be effortlessly deployed anywhere.
