Rostra introduced a replacement for its popular 250-8423 General Motors OE screen video interface system.

Now available for sale, part number 250-8425 iterates on the design of the previous system by continuing to allow for a reverse-triggered backup camera addition while adding a separate video input for forward-facing, cargo or blindspot cameras that can be powered on manually using the included push-button control switch, or automatically when the vehicle is shifted into Drive.

For vehicles equipped with OE backup cameras, the 250-8425 interface allows for the addition of a forward-facing or blindspot cameras giving drivers more visibility of the area in front of or beside their vehicle while retaining backup camera functionality. For base model vehicles without an OE-installed camera, the 250-8425 interface allows for the addition of both front and rear cameras including any from our RearSight® product line.

May 25, 2018 -- At Rostra Accessories we are pleased to introduce an innovative new way of illuminating and visualizing the area around your vehicle. Now available for shipment, our all-new 250-8170 and 250-8171 series of high-power LED flood beam work lamps include a high-resolution CMOS color camera and an array of eight 3-watt LEDs to provide clear visibility in the darkest environments.

With their horizontal image rotation capability, these work lamp/camera combos can be utilized in a number of different positions and orientations. Our LED work lamp / camera devices are available with or without LCD monitors and since the LED lamp is powered separately from the camera, these units can serve as a standalone lighting solution, too!

3-20-2017 -- Rostra’s newly-updated line of tailgate handle integrated color cameras provides a way of adding a backup camera system to many of the most popular light-duty trucks on the road today. Every RearSight® tailgate handle camera is custom molded to be a direct replacement to the factory handle and comes equipped with an advanced CMOS III camera that includes selectable parking grid lines that have been accurately measured to match the grid lines available from the OE component.

RearSight® tailgate cameras include a 32.8-foot extension harness, 4-pin weatherproof connector, convoluted tubing, and RCA video output to supply video to any RCA-equipped video monitor.

1-30-2017 -- Rostra Precision Controls has introduced part number 250-8452, a new camera interface for 2016-2017 Ford F-series trucks, Ford Explorer and Ford Edge vehicles equipped with the SYNC3 system and factory-installed 8-inch LCD screens. The interface is now shipping and allows for installation of multiple cameras around the vehicle with the intent of adding increased safety through driver awareness. 

Camera options include rearview, sidebiew/blindspot, forward-facing, cargo and trailer views. Drivers can also connect their mobile phone to the included HDMI input and instantly share their phone's screen to the dashboard of their vehicle. 

Module installation is said to take less than 30 minutes. The connection allows four cameras to the factory screen, in addition to the OEM backup camera. 

8/2/2016 -- Rostra has introduced its latest LED lighting offering in the form of its 260-2070 7-inch LED headlamp replacement.

An ideal solution for upgrading the forward-facing lighting on various classic/hot rod vehicles as well as modernizing motorcycles, Jeeps and heavy-duty trucks, this lamp is in stock and available for immediate shipment. Shipped in a clamshell packaging which can stand upright on its own on a shelf or hang from a peg hook, these lamps can fit well into any showroom.

The product is constructed from a die-cast aluminum housing and rugged, abrasion resistant UV-protected lens. The sealed lamp provides vehicle owners with a simple way of replacing aging halogen assemblies with state of the art LED lighting technology. The built-in three-pin H4 connector allows for easy vehicle retrofitting while 9-volt to 32-volt operation covers a wide range of passenger car and truck, motorcycle and commercial vehicle applications.

Rostra Precision Controls has introduced its new multi-input video mirror with 7.3-inch LCD screen. The mirror, which is now shipping, comes with a three year, 36,000 mile warranty.

It also features 1280 x 390 resolution, anti-glare coated glass to reduce light reflection, built-in touch screen controls for accessing cameras and right and left blindspot camera inputs. The camera inputs can be automatically or manually triggered. There is also a remote control for configuring parking grid lines.

9-16-2016 -- Rostra Precision Controls has introduced the GM 8-inch LCD Multi-camera Video Interface. The interface allows for the installation of multiple cameras around the vehicle, providing strong safety through added driver awareness. 

The interface covers a number of popular GM trucks and cars, including the Cheverolet Silverado, Colorado, Camaro, GMC Sierra and Canyon. Camera options include rearview, sideview/blindspot, forward-facing, cargo/trailer and any other camera mounting location chosen. Drivers can also connect their mobile phone to the included HDMI input and instantly share their phone's screen to the dashboard of their vehicle. 

Features include the ability to install in less than 30 minutes, connections of four cameras are allowed to a factory screen in addition to the OEM backup camera and right and left blind spot camera inputs automatically are triggered by the turn signals. 

7-18-2016 -- Rostra has announced the availability of its new wireless monitor and camera solutions for the heavy-duty and fleet markets. The 7-inch monitor is includes a built-in 4-channel multiplexer for displaying video from up to four cameras at once and can even record that video to a microSD card for the ultimate in on-road accountability.

Vehicle Safety markets and sells its products through a diverse aftermarket distribution network, as well as to some of the world’s largest Original Equipment Manufacturers (“OEM”), Original Equipment Service Distributors (“OES”) and specialty vehicle manufacturers, among other channels.
