SEMA, Las Vegas – MB Quart is showcasing the new, top of the line, Premium Series speakers at SEMA 2019 (booth #60012). Included in the new line is a reintroduction of a classic MB Quart configuration that we have not offered for several years, the PS1-316 400 Watt, 3-Way component system. This Premium audiophile system is a 3-Way component package complete with a pair of newly designed 1” Magnesium dome Widesphere technology tweeters that deliver exceptional musical reproduction of high frequencies (with a large sweet spot or off-axis listening area) plus two pairs of mid-range and mid-bass drivers. 

The larger drivers start with a pair of 4” mid-range speakers (to handle higher midrange tones) and a pair of 6.5” mid-bass drivers for drums and high sub frequencies. These drivers utilize the curvilinear cone shape that MB Quart made famous and are constructed from a lightweight aerated pop paper with Mica blend. The mids and mid-bass speakers are housed in an innovative frame which is engineered with PA66 composite with 30% glass fiber added. This material renders the frame inert, eliminating harmonic distortion from vibration.

THE EXPANDING X3 STAGE 5 The X3 Stage 5 system starts with 800 watts of power, controlled by the advanced GMR-LED source unit. The system includes four 6.5 inch high-end 2 way waterproof NP1-116 speakers. Two are pre-mounted in their enclosure for a perfect dash fitment and 2 are dialed in as rear roll cage pods. The power comes from a pair of amplifiers that are installed near the power steering system on an included amplifier plate. 

The bass frequencies are the expandable component. The system includes one 10 inch subwoofer in a sealed enclosure which mounts under either the driver or passenger seat. When you are ready for more, add another 400 watts and another subwoofer with the part numbers MBQX-SUB-2 and MBQX-SUB-ACC-1. Double the power and double the bass.

Libertyville, Ill. – MB Quart has designed a new Marine amplifier line (to our successful NA series) to stand up to the toughest conditions on the water. Nautic Series 3 (known as NA3) Amplifiers are the upgrade to the NA Amplifier line, and they use conformal coated PC boards to protect against the elements.

The Nautic Series 3 line offers 3 choices including a 5 channel amplifier to run a full system (with 4 full range channels) and a 5th channel to power the subwoofer as low as 1 ohm. The 5 channel amplifier includes a bass remote for fine tuning. Additionally, a full range, 6 channel amplifier can run several more sets of speakers around the vessel and a full range 4 channel amplifier to round out the line.

Top Mounted Controls

The NA3 Series includes Sound Contouring, which includes features like bass controls, crossover functions, and gain adjustments among others which are conveniently located on top of the amplifier.
Every control is easily positioned on the amplifier and away from end panels where they might have been exposed to water and leakage from the boat. With the use of these modular connectors for audio, connections, power, ground, and turn-on circuits, everything is sealed at the amplifier.

360° Heat Sink Design

If you could look inside the amplifier, you would see that the amplifier PC board is floating and designed with components in a 360 degree layout. This gives the NA3 amplifiers best-in-class, thermal stability due to the fact that each output device (MOSFET) has ample aluminum heat sink area for cooling.

Nautic Series 3 Amplifiers are not automotive amplifiers, while they will work just fine in a car or truck, they are purpose built to very strict standards set forth for marine electronics by the American Society for Testing and Materials, ASTM International, and NMMA.
