Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – GOST® (Global Ocean Security Technologies), a world leader in marine security, tracking, monitoring and video surveillance systems, announced today that its GOST NT-Evolution 2.0 security system was instrumental in thwarting an attempted electronics theft off of a 39-foot Invincible in West Palm Beach, Florida. Amazingly, this exact scenario took place less than eight months ago at the same marina. Vessels left unprotected had thousands of dollars in electronics and equipment stolen, but the GOST NT-Evolution 2.0 system on the vessel stopped the thieves in their tracks twice.

The GOST NT-Evolution 2.0’s sensors tripped the moment the thieves stepped onboard, triggering the system’s siren and strobe and alerting the customer of the attempted intrusion via automated call, text and email. Security cameras captured the thieves fleeing seconds after the alarm was activated and the vessel was left completely unharmed.

"I cannot believe that my GOST system has earned its worth yet again,” said the boat owner. “I was impressed by how well it worked after the last attempted theft that occurred in April. To have the exact same thing happen again, with the same results, makes me completely confident that my GOST system was most definitely money well spent."

“Many people believe their vessels are untouchable in a marina environment but this is the perfect example of why every vessel needs some independent security protection no matter where it is moored,” said Jay Keenan, president and CEO, GOST. “We design our products to ‘prevent the event’ and that’s exactly what Evolution did. Again, we only wish the other boats involved also had our systems installed as we would have liked to have been able to do more.”
