10-12-2016, EDMOND, Okla. — Petra Industries has announced that it’s 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, held on October 6, raised $70,000 to support Whiz Kids and Mercy Multiplied.

"Giving back to the community is one of the cornerstones of any successful business, and Hope-in-One is a great example of that," said Petra founder and CEO Bill Stewart. "I'm proud to say that it's been another successful year for the tournament, and I'm thankful for the support of our vendors and partners who helped make it happen."

More than 70 of Petra’s vendors and partners participated in this year’s event. The festivities began on Wednesday, October 5, with a cocktail reception and Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament at Topgolf Oklahoma City. The following day participants hit the links at Oak Tree Country Club for a shotgun-start best-ball scramble. The festivities concluded with a luncheon for all attendees, where prizes were awarded for best team score, longest drive, longest putt and closest-to-the-pin competitions on designated holes.

Near the conclusion of the event, participants were privileged to hear personal and inspirational testimonials from alumni of Whiz Kids and Mercy Multiplied. Their moving messages conveyed the positive impact that these programs have on the community to all in attendance.

Petra’s Hope-in-One Charity Golf Tournament Raises $100,000 for Charity

EDMOND, Okla. — Petra Industries has announced that it’s 19th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, held on October 12, raised $100,000 to support Whiz Kids of Oklahoma and Mercy Multiplied, Intl.

"Giving back to the community is one of the cornerstones of any successful business, and Hope-in-One is a great example of that," said Petra President, Tate Morgan. "I'm proud to say that it's been another successful year for the tournament, and I'm thankful for the support of our vendors and partners who helped make it happen."

More than 120 golfers, comprised of some of Petra’s vendors and partners, participated in this year’s event. The festivities began on Wednesday, October 11, with a cocktail reception and Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament at Topgolf Oklahoma City. The following day, participants hit the links at Oak Tree Country Club for a shotgun-start scramble. The festivities concluded with a luncheon for all attendees, where prizes were awarded for best team score, longest drive, longest putt and closest-to-the-pin competitions on designated holes, along with a variety of grand prizes.

Near the conclusion of the event, participants were privileged to hear personal and inspirational testimonials from alumni of Whiz Kids and Mercy Multiplied. Their moving messages conveyed the positive impact that these programs have on the community to all in attendance.
