Audiovox Launches Nissan FlashLogic FLCAN Firmware Upgrade

HAUPPAUGE, NY  – Audiovox Electronics Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of VOXX International Corporation (NASDAQ:VOXX) today announced its newest addition to the FlashLogic program, another industry first upgrade application to its FLCAN. The firmware launched on the FlashLogic website on June 4th.

This newest addition to the FLCAN offers simplified installation and complete Nissan vehicle coverage. These systems simplify the installation process by eliminating the need to hardwire door locks. Also, there are no connections required at the BCM (body control module) and no external relays required at the IPDM (integrated power distribution module) under the hood and all installation information located in a single guide.

For years, FlashLogic has allowed dealers to reduce install time and lower inventory SKU’s as it allows a dealer to download the appropriate software to make it applicable to a wide range of vehicles without requiring vehicle specific SKUs. The company supplies kits for all of the major vehicle brands including GM, FORD, Toyota, etc.

“We believe we have the broadest line up of transponder and door lock interface products in the market today with over 4,200 applications and we continue to increase the number of cars that can upgrade through our FlashLogic program”, said Tom Malone, president, Audiovox Electronic Corporation. “We remained committed to our dealer partners to help them increase productivity and save on installation costs so they can continue to increase profit opportunities.”

These new Nissan applications will control any Audiovox alarm or remote start with the DBI port through the Factory Keyless Entry Transmitter, such as the company’s recently introduced AS9234 add-on Alarm and Remote Start system. The AS9234 operates through the Factory Keyless Entry Transmitter, and when combined with the new FLCAN Nissan firmware is the perfect remote start solution for Nissan. Add CarLink to it for the ultimate in operating range and convenience. “

As OE vehicle technology continues to evolve so does our FlashLogic program. Our engineers are currently field testing new applications that will expand our FLCAN vehicle application compatibility. Look for us to announce more break-through technology additions in the near future,” concluded Malone.
